  • In this tutorial video, I show you how I made tiny plague doctor masks for 16 inch Inamorata dolls, because nothing says 2020 like a plague mask. The same wet sculpting technique works for shoes, armour or anything else you might want to make for your dolls.

    I have studied how they made venisian. Masks with the idea of making masks for my dolls. You jave some great techniques figured out. Thank you for sharing.

      Thank you! My technique is self learned from trial and error, and I'm sure there are wonderful traditional techniques that are much more refined than this. There is always something new to learn and any skill takes ages to master. I just dabble in a bit of everything.

      @@EmiliaCouture OH I think you jave come up with some great techniques. Things that work for large things do not always work for small things. So you have figured it out for small things.

    • @EmiliaCouture
      @EmiliaCouture  3 года назад +1

      That is true. I started crafting way before I found dolls and human sized techniques often become unusable in miniature. The tools small enough don't exist and gravity effects things differently the smaller you get. It's a really interesting world to delve into.

      Thanks. My accent is kind of all over the place. I'm originally from Finland but have been living around Asia for the past 10 years. I think I got affected by my British flatmates a lot in Hong Kong, but now I'm living with my German fiance, so no idea where the accent will go next. LOL

    I just found your channel and I am so inspired that I can barely sit still! Literally, that type of inspiration that's like a mental explosion, growing so quickly in my head that I almost feel like my brain is going to explode from its lack of ability to contain all the ideas. It's exhilarating... So thank you- for creating such amazing things, for sharing your techniques, and for encouraging others to play as well. You're right, this past year and a half has been horrible, so the joy and inspiration are so very welcome!

      This was the first thing I read this morning and you completely made my day! That's exactly why I'm making these videos! ❤️ For me, making dolls is a passion that just tears out of me if I don't have enough time to do it (I'm studying Japanese full time right now and it's frustrating how little I can work at the moment. Especially after a week of studying for semester finals). 😅 Thank you so much for making me feel so appreciated. ♥

    Hello. Love your work. I accidentally found your channel and have watched 5 videos so far. I find one of the hardest things about making miniatures sometimes is finding that materials .
    I have been looking for the thinnest leather available. The thinnest I can find is 1.2. mm, would you mind letting me know your source.? Your work is incredible. Thanks for sharing!!

    Can I ask where you got the leather? I can't find it.

    • @EmiliaCouture
      @EmiliaCouture  3 года назад

      I bought it in person in Taipei or Tokyo leather shops. If you go to a decicated leather craft store they should have a selection of different thicknessess available. I'm sure it must be available online too, but with fabrics and leather I always buy in person because I want to touch all my materials to get a feel for the quality.

    do you have a male inamorata dolls??

    • @EmiliaCouture
      @EmiliaCouture  3 года назад +1

      I've always wanted to make a male doll but could never decide between a slinky androgynous one and a hunky beefcake. And before I got to do either, there were already so many wonderful male dolls out there that I feel like I don't have enough to "say" to create my own one. Whereas there are no other female dolls that fulfil my personal aesthetic.

    • @artjayescora1495
      @artjayescora1495 3 года назад +1

      @@EmiliaCouture you can do both slinky and hunky body.... i know that it will looks amazing just like the dolls you make.... i love how unique and creative your dolls are... and i believe that if you make male or female or any gender dolls it will look unique and beautiful because you give your heart while making it and it will be precious...... and i wish that you will not stop making dolls... because you are one of the people that inspires me for doll making and customization..... and i wish that i can do dolls customizing just like you do when i grow up..... and i will work hard to earn money so that i can buy as many lovely dolls that you make in the future ......

      Thank you so much for your amazing comment. It means a world to me if I can inspire others to creative paths in life. It is definitely not the most financially stable path, but then again what is during this pandemic? The important thing is to be able to do what you love in life and creating for dolls is definitely that for me.
