Popovy Doll sharing Inamorata Doll Wigs

- One of the most common questions I get asked is: "can Inamorata can share wigs with other 16 inch dolls?" Here is Popovy Sister's Bluejay trying on a variety of Inamorata wigs to illustrate the size and shape. Other dolls that share the head size include Marmite Sue's Doll Menagerie, Deva, Ficon and ModDolls. If you know any other dolls that can share Inamorata wigs please let us know in the comments.

OK I’ve now watched your video at least four different times on how to make a wig and I finally got it and when I did the angels sang and I thought oh my goodness this woman is a wigmaking genius! I am so excited about the hairline it looks so realistic I even went back through and added yet again more hairs just single triple hairs along the hairline after I cut up the edge and made it kind of Jagged Edge I then went through again one more time and added a layer of hair both in front and even a little bit on the inside but the only the slightest bit because I didn’t want to affect the fit of the wig cap but just to add a little baby hair around the face and I’m so excited I have a whole new level of respect for you I think you make the most realistic wigs that are out there on the market. And I love the popovy sister wigs but as you said the method they use looks kind of like a helmet and I don’t like that look so the way you have created your hairline is absolute genius and yes it does require the right Texture because I was using yarn before and that didn’t quite work as you said because the fiber just absorbs the glue too easily but the wonderful thing about these fibers (I’m working with right now mohair) is that it doesn’t absorb the glue as easily so it can get glued on the backside while still remaining fresh on the front side - anyway I can’t thank you enough I just feel like I have now a whole new level of wig making skills at my disposal all because of you!!!! thank you so very very very very much! You’re a genius! You are a master doll maker!!! And I LOVE YOUR DOLLS AND YOUR ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!

Are the popovy wigs made with wig caps?
Yes, these are all hard cap wigs. Round caps are a great size match, but since I make my wigs to have natural hairline that frames the, ears, the ear placement varies depending on sculpt. Inamorata Chie has the roundest head so her wigs fit Popovy (round head) perfectly, but my African sculpts have the beautifully elongated skull type so their hairline lands differently on Popovy.

How do you make the hair lay flat on the doll cap. What are the steps,??? Please tell me .iam curious. I like your doll wigs . Do I need to buy a gel. You can text me. Iam learning to make cloth dolls.
These are hard cap wigs so the direction the hair lays is determined when gluing in on the wig cap. I'm not that great with wigs, but I'll try to film a tutorial about my method for you.
