I could really use the DMT-99 Multimeter, or the 2C53T Multimeter+Oscilloscope, as my trusty multimeter I inherited from my father recently broke after 32 years...well I accidentally broke it when I stepped on it after testing my neighbor's A/C unit. If you would be so kind as to ask piano cat, I think 🎹🐈would agree that I deserve an upvote👍🙏as I'd actually make good use of your multimeter since I regularly used my old one for many years as a DIY guy.
the 2c53t is great one, its combo unit that all in one except clamp meter you need to carry around to make repair on the go. but be careful because cat rating on those tools is not independent certified especially the osc rec only use to measure signal or low voltage power rail
Hi I am a voulnteer forestry firefighter and in my free time I run a small computer business at home in a extremelly small town in the Kootenay's of Canada called Kootenay Valentine Computers that I just went public with. I do reinstallations, defragmentations, upgrades, downgrades, backups, rooting, cut cables, file recovery and some soldering I do house calls and teach what I can to help people. I just bought a used CompTia+ and a CCNA book to study. I always enjoy your channel and really appreciate you teaching even the small things the amount of information you put out is so helpful, always learning something new. I hope to one day work my way up to repairing cards. Keep doing what you are doing!
It's rare to see because the choices made on who to send stuff for review naturally self-select towards individuals who give reviews in a positive light. If a company sees a RUclipsr who points out a bunch of flaws and ends with 'yeah, don't buy this' they are less likely to choose that person to send something to for a review, thus the market naturally selects against brutal honesty. It's why I love Project Farm (and other reviewers that buy the stuff they review) - he gets support from Patreon and buys everything himself so that kind of influence doesn't have a chance to play a part.
@scottsmall9898 yeah it is unfortunate how rare it is, and how easily people who already have millions and millions are easily bought for some of the worst garbage. That being said they obviously didn't make those Millions by turning down money but I feel like there's a balance to be had at least
A lot of these manufacturers (particularly the 3d printer manufacturers) are trying to control the narrative by putting clauses in the contract that you _can't_ give them a bad review. The ones with integrity will refuse to review the item and might mention it. That's how I heard about it.
I will give one of these testers for free and ship anywhere in the US to who ever gets the most upvotes You need to make a comment requesting the tester and ask the community to upvote your comment. You need to have email address (even temporary) on your youtube account so i can contact you. Top voted comments that are NOT requesting any of these tools are not doing to be counted. Pole will end in roughly 3 days.
I love that you are honest when you reviewed this. I would love the multimeter as I am learning to repair electronics. I have attempted a few repairs on 900 series cards but I was not able to do them. As of now, I am repairing robots (like iRobot sweeping/vacuum/mopping robots) as I am learning about computer repairs. Thank you for reading!!
I recently got hired in a repair shop and the problem is I don't have any testers yet that I own.. I am only borrowing my co-worker's old tester that has inconsistent values when I'm using it.. If I will be blessed with any of these testers, I will take care and use it very well.. It will make my job easier especially on repairs..
As someone that's used handheld tools from FNIRSI for the past year or two and is just now upgrading, just be aware that these are fairly imprecise and are definitely entry level tools. Some are decent but they very much sit in that budget hobbyist zone. They'll also become unusable in environments with lots of electrical noise about like my current office. The scope is straight up off by 2V in either direction which is kinda unacceptably big for me right now. If you can afford better it's usually worth it. But if you can't having these is absolutely far far better than having nothing. My budget couldn't spring for more and the tools worked good enough to get things done for a year or two. But by god I'm glad to finally be able to upgrade. Troubleshooting with these is so much easier than without. And the step up is a much smaller improvement but there's just some circuits this won't be able to deal with adequately. Like audio, the inherent noise of the tool makes it impossible to detect audio noise that's bad enough to ruin a listening experience thus making it impossible to troubleshoot.
Flukes are expensive because you can get them calibrated, they don't drift much with temperature changes and time, they're generally reliable and the CAT rating won't be a blatant lie lol. Those Chinese made meters are great for hobbyist use but you'd probably struggle finding a cal lab that can calibrate them. For board level repairs they're probably good enough though. Anyway, that's why Fluke are expensive. They have to care about safety and long term reliability. Check out a video titled "Inside Fluke - The Measure of innovation 2015 - Pt 1" for why people use Flukes.
Plus they keep their simple design the same because so many places have instructions on their use which would be thrown off if you were to radically change the design.
I have a fluke 8022A old yes, but I still think it was the best one they made, works great even now 25 years later, great channels need great equipment, and you have the best of the best even your competition (coughtAlexcough) doesn't have the quality of components you use, and you're not trying to sell me stuff in your videos either, thumbs up! Not here to win anything, send it to someone else, I'm too far away in Australia.
You hit it right on the spot on the IPhone, once you get used to the equipment you don't want to change it if it's not broken and specially if it offers everything you need.
Best video yet- man when you sat that heater cooler thing a ma jig on the table and you added the camera shake, and all the additional clips you put in, awesome You have good taste in music as well. Bravo!! Oh, and great reball job🤣
You have acquired an impressive knowledge with graphic cards. And your ability to repair the unrepairable is amazing! Never seen someone repairing core pads like you do!
MUSICAL CATS!!!! UPVOTE FOR THE MUSICAL CATS! AND MY COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT MOTIVES!!!!! (edit: the transparent motives are the desire for cool new things - I would like any of the giveaway items, but in all honesty I don't have a *need* for them (I do already have a meter and scope) so if someone else actually needs and does not have a meter / scope, then they are the better choice)
Just wanted to say I liked the editing on this one. It's nice when you concentrate on the repair and add cat gifs with chiptune music. Also longer form videos are welcome from time to time. P.S. Not interested in the give away.
It's great that you're giving back to the community and helping others get into the hobby/ profession. Can't wait to hear a long term use update, that is if you also have a set separate to the give away. The price of Fluke gear is insane and it's nice to know there are companies out there trying to capitalise on their 2 decades nap
I could def use one but instead wish everyone entering Good Luck!!! Love your videos Tony and I send everyone I know who needs a GPU repair to your channel.
You are right about Fluke, it is a prestigious brand for years in the electrical and electronic industry, but they have not worried about improving basic instruments, but their oscilloscopes are good.
Fluke was a great brand, my first was an 87 way back around 1989-1990? Still works, "Mostly" even today. (Loved their portable scope meter products way back too, could use for harmonics and load testing and download memory to a PC for printouts/reports.) I was honestly surprised after so many decades, to see the current Fluke you pulled out in a video weeks ago to look exactly the same as devices 30+ years old, LOL! If you don't innovate, you can easily be left behind! P.S. Enjoyed the music; cat work, well I am sure some still wearing diapers enjoyed that part too, he, he, he! (As you guessed not looking for a freebie tiny meter anytime soon, LOLZ!)
Would be great if I can win any of those (though the miniscope have now the scope adapter broken). I love your honest reviews, Fluke built a cult which needs to be reminded that you cannot rest on your laurels or the competition will catch up with you
I would like ANY of those electronics to try and get into repairing some pc parts. Would be a damn useful thing to learn and know how to repair stuff like that.
Congrats to de company to have balls to send their equipement to a honest test like this, prove that they really belive on the quality of their product.
ive been in the market for a Osc, cheap one.. may look into this one, but i need a DC current clamp meter that has at least bluetooth capabilities for finding parasitic drains on cars and also allows me to do some logging. Thanks for the review of the meters... i'll def. get that combo one. What would make all three of them a lot more valuable is to have an HDMI out to be able to see the screen larger.
hello thank you for the video , is that tiny oscilloscope good for video card and motherboards repair ? , he can handle 100% from what i need ? , i going use it on test bios signal , phase vcore , vmem signals , thank you tony
i would love to have the multimeter, however im not in the us no more. currently living in the philippines. i am working on phones, and computers as a hobby and something to spend my time doing. so for the people who win these items, hope you enjoy them and find them useful. its not everyday you can get something good for free. and thanks nwr for the awesome videos of your work.
Nice fluke cat. I needed a oscy. Started to see the review, search for it on internet and stay on the checkout. Went again to the video and see it at the end, then cancel the order. You are right. Screen too small, affordable but to change the parameters is not friendly. They should do one like a tablet with every button as tactile.
If you reply to the persons comment they should see that and be able to contact you if they win. Im still using my Fluke and I think the reason for that is its over 15 years of day to day bashing as I'm a appliance repairer and it still works perfect. The only issue I've had is the dam leads dieing on me, I have to replace them every couple of years as shoving it in and out of the tool bag they just get messed up. Im in Australia so I guess I'd have to pay for shipping if I won lmao
the tiny scope could probably fit a couple of small knobs, there are optical encoders that are tiny, and resistive encoders are both tiny and cheap (there is one for the wheel in every cheap mouse)
great reviews mate.short and sweet.to the point.please can you try to do more of these in future. Nice meters.Didnt know about cool other feastures. So wish I had one of those . would be Ultra handy. thanks again for 'BEST CONTENT'. lovin it
I would be very grateful to have one of these devices to assist me in starting my business in repair! Shootout to the COMMUNITY PLEASE UP VOTE!! I love these videos with the awesome information and jokes!😂😂

Yeah, Flute cat steals the show every time.

Please fix that
The GPU reballing is absolutely mesmerizing, the editing and music is top-notch. Oh and the cats do a great job as well.
Brutally honest as everybody should be when somebody sends them something for review. Love it.

@neverendingstudent somewhat of a parallel to access journalism, yes.
One of the rare people on RUclips that can't be bought. He's ALWAYS honest about the stuff he uses even if it's his stuff.

yay, core reballing music is back
LOL, I asked him yesterday to bring it back and here we are with cat flutes to boot : )
That little multimeter seemed real cool for a travel toolbox. Will def look in, I like the random equip stuff on here.
I have not seen anyone on YT that is as eager to remove the cpu and or memory as you.😊😊👍👍!!!! Thanks for the video.

I clicked for the 4090 then stayed for flute cat.
I enjoy watching the tear downs and rebuilds. Always fascinating.
Watching you makes me want to learn this trade
I'm amazed that you can repair ripped pads under a core like that. That's superhuman!

This is peak repair content
Both the ociliscope ones won't ship to Australia.. pity as the combo one looks like a awesome tool bag/i tinker addition.
you can buy directly from fnirsi website, maybe they will ?
I'm impressed with how inexpensive these testers are. Also, thanks for flute cat.

Best GPU Repair Technician! Love your videos!👌
You are right about Fluke, it is a prestigious brand for years in the electrical and electronic industry, but they have not worried about improving basic instruments, but their oscilloscopes are good.

No way, Flute cat brings down the house.
my 7 cats are all now subbed, more musical cats
the kitty is really the star of the show

Good luck to the winners, sadly im in the EU
I use analog "single" multi meter for voltages. It helps a lot to visualize what happens.
Chuckled at the cat. Working hard!
Congrats to de company to have balls to send their equipement to a honest test like this, prove that they really belive on the quality of their product.
Maybe you need KrisFix's ultra bright UV lamp too?
wow those are cool. i wish i had one so i can player around with stuff! you dont know how nice it is to have something like this untill you need one
All of those look awesome I don't mind the small so much as long as it has the automatic function
ive been in the market for a Osc, cheap one.. may look into this one, but i need a DC current clamp meter that has at least bluetooth capabilities for finding parasitic drains on cars and also allows me to do some logging. 100% agree... tools should prioritize functionality over aesthetics... still awesome tho
Thanks for the reball !
hello thank you for the video , is that tiny oscilloscope good for video card and motherboards repair ? , he can handle 100% from what i need ? , i going use it on test bios signal , phase vcore , vmem signals , thank you tony

Cool! A giveaway! :) Good for you Tony! 👍
watching ur vid and vibing with cats can my day get any better???
Yes it can, if someone gave you a milion dollars😊
the tiny scope could probably fit a couple of small knobs, there are optical encoders that are tiny, and resistive encoders are both tiny and cheap (there is one for the wheel in every cheap mouse)

I'm learning laptop repair for my job in the Education sector, and any top-notch tools would go a long way!
Great tech, and darn good video editing.
Cats with instruments...absolute cinema
I would be very grateful to have one of these devices to assist me in starting my business in repair! Shootout to the COMMUNITY PLEASE UP VOTE!! I love these videos with the awesome information and jokes!😂😂
Good cat orchestra😊
Hmmm, that oscilloscope with a broken connector is enticing. It's the kind of a device that would look great spending 5 years or a decade in a garage drawer, before being fixed and made a one time use of it.
The the cat orchestra 🔥
I own a couple of FNRSI products and have been pleasantly surprised so far.
Fluke is the Ti-85 of the 21st century. Everyone remembers them from secondary school, and they haven't changed at all.
Whats the music? Made me whatch the reballing atleast 10 times. Excelent, Good work.
Cats and synthwave music, my day is complete!
Great Video! 👍
What a banger edit for that repair montage. Reminds me of my best skidrow wizards. Too bad shazam can't give me any track source :(
Those cats shure know how to jam
hey, love when you do some tool reviews !
Man, you really go all the way when it comes to GPU repair. So much that you had to hire kitty band :D
Here goes nothing, I'd like the FNRSI 2C53T
btw, love your vids!
I mean, look. I used FNIRSI for a while now, at first the size and everything was a bummer but you'll get used to it and when you're switching from a unit to the other that has the same control scheme it's actually pretty okay. Although there's something you haven't noticed in this. The little oscilloscope+function generator has response time and polling rate issues, and tends to freak out when there's a lot of oscillation on the screen. If you're actually looking to measure something very accurate I found that their DSO152 is equivalent or better to a RIGOL unit I used to have before it broke (I shorted the probe ground to Live)
Great vid as always bud. Was a decent review and not to shabby of a product. 👍
Love watching your videos from algeria. 🇩🇿
What is the song that you have playing with the cats performing? It's good, wonder what it is and where I can get to listen to more of it.
Not sure who's doing your video editing, but it's lit! 😆
Me!
@northwestrepair kudos! It's very entertaining, on par with your work.
Yeah, Fluke would benefit from modernising their lineup.
