The champion Margarida gets us conch and hogfish for dinner. I give a lesson on how to sail southern Cuba. We don't make our destination of Cayo Largo but end up at Cayo Rico with a careful sail through the shallows, dodging sandbanks and shoals and reefs. The barrier reef gives us protection from the main swell and Margarida finally has a sail without getting seasick. We arrive at Cayo Rico and it is awesome.

Oh man, I love me some Cuba this time of year. Cayo Largo is such a beautiful slice of earth with an as close to unspoiled ecosystem as I've ever seen. Hundreds of Sea turtles migrate back to Cayo Largo every year to nest & lay their eggs. Such a fascinating process of nature to ponder. Right on Peter 👌🤙🇨🇦

Question, when you are really remote like around Cuba, what do you do about immigration? If you are off on a remote island do you even bother? Its would be great to know what the process is and costs if any (even if its rum or some fish)
I cannot wait to get out there, your channel has given me so much inspiration, knowing you can live off the seafood and local produce quite cheap really helps!

I would have went South, the then tack back to, Cuba, safer, easier. Just as fast. Peter, why stress yourself? Come on, Pete, I thought you were in the Biblical Class of, Mariners, as mentioned in the Bible. They were called the wise ones. In Hawaiian, navigation it is done at night. The motor was the Hawaiian, warriors paddling under the command of the navigator. All using Star lite. In my experience once you get it down it is a pretty awesome way to navigate. They use the hand and the songs to keep the course. The trick is the ability to recognize the Star Constellations, that is what takes years to learn. Any way enjoyed your video.

The preview image on youtube promised a woman in a bikini carrying coconuts. Why woud you do that if its not in the video. Deceptive clickbait. Don't advertise what you're not delivering.
In this video you talk a lot about getting into the shallows and sailing. I have watched maybe 30 or so of your videos and it's like watching a train wreck about to happen. You can not look away even though you see the end coming. You started with a beautiful catamaran and promptly wrecked it. Showing your poor decision making as a boat captain. Hummm. Now you offer sailing advice. It's kind of like listening to a hunter who has shot himself while hunting. He acts like he knows it all when he should just shut up and show his pretty wife and sailing videos. Not getting another catamaran says that you didn't have any insurance or very low insurance. Now your sailing around in what is almost a dingy. Next, because of your attitude, your wife is on the verge of leaving you. Or did leave you but now back. Hummm It is like watching the catamaran you are driving up onto the rocks again but this time it is your marriage. Oh well, I'm sure you will be fine and the next wife might be able to put up with you even better and I'm sure she will love the dingy.
