Her 5 things for a better 50 decade: 1. To learn about compounding interest and how to put it to use in my life. 2. How to hire an onboard people. 3. How to keep multiple "planes" in the air. 4. How to swim for exercise. 5. How to cook four vegan meals.
@01:26:13 LOL! Stephanie did not come to play. "I don't want to learn from the people who have gained the world and lost their soul" Now, that came from the soul.
So happy you had a polyglot this year! Learning new languages opens a whole new world, I’m on number 3,Italian, and sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to Rome watching this 😄 the best way is to go and use what you know (in my opinion)
Stephanie, you always look gorgeous, but the simplicity of your look is radiant. Is that what I need to look forward to at 50. It must be the life of ease that is shinning through. All my beautiful black ladies continue to shine and live the life of ease because you’re deserving of it. It’s been months since I’ve listened to the many channels of black ladies living of ease but it fuels my soul. Continue the great work, not the hard work.
Re: Compounding your exercise I’ve made my workout a part of my morning routine at home. It’s the first thing I do after having my tea. Started during the pandemic and it’s continued to work for me. My strength workout is 1/2 hr (or less). I alternate between upper body (abs and arms) one day, lower body (legs), the next day and I take Sundays off. I get my cardio by doing something I like to do, going for a long walk, swimming, frisbee. Also, find a partner you can zoom with and workout together. My sister and I have a standing video call every morning where we meet, chat and workout together. I look forward to it. If either one of us can’t make it, no big deal. Good luck!
Forgot to say, I found several good workouts on RUclips that I switch between to keep interesting and so your muscles don’t get to used to the workouts.
Heh from the future. Setting healthy boundaries and reinforcement of boundaries is what I have been learning most in my 50’s that has literally saved my life.
It's amazing how our list aligns: Swimming (taki g lessons now), Managing multiple task, and I can't wait to travel more and house-sit! Thx for your voice ❤️
You look how you were intended to look when you were made. Beautiful. Your beautiful, not my beautiful, or someone else’s beautiful, but yours. Read more or listen to audiobooks. You will learn something new every time you read a book. Look up unknown words to increase your vocabulary. Change your language regarding yourself. You are not an idiot. You already know more than many others. Don’t discount what you’ve already learned, just add more knowledge to what you know. May God bless you. 😘
Hey Ladies! Me and AI put together this list of books mentioned in the video: 1-"Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert This book was described as influential for encouraging women to see the world and take sabbaticals, with a reference to it as a branch of the “Eat Pray Love coaching tree.” Gender and race of the author: Elizabeth Gilbert is a white woman. 2-"Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear" by Elizabeth Gilbert Stephanie mentioned she read it post-sabbatical and appreciated its insights into creative living. Gender and race of the author: Elizabeth Gilbert is a white woman. 3-"The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle Stephanie suggested that this book could help with being more present, which she struggles with. Gender and race of the author: Eckhart Tolle is a white man. 4-"The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz Referenced in the context of learning to go with the flow and realizing that possibilities are endless. Gender and race of the author: Don Miguel Ruiz is a Mexican man. 5-"The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod Stephanie mentioned not having read this book yet, but it was suggested by someone in the conversation. Gender and race of the author: Hal Elrod is a white man.
Sounds like if you put the fundraising at a different time of year, you could chunk your year in different sections and delegate for each. You have Exodus Summit followed by your RUclips Challenge. Maybe the fundraising can be in December or February for example, that way you can hire help for each project as needed. Writing, swimming, and cooking vegan meals are habits you can fit in on a weekly basis. Maybe getting accountability partners for those habits or join specific communities to support you with those goals will help you progress faster.
Communities are a great example of compounded interest because you leverage the skills and talents of everyone for the greater good of everyone. We all grow a little more together than we do alone.
I’m fairly new to your RUclips channel and I have been binging you, Roshida, and Exodus Summit for the past week. Sooooo much great information and answer to my prayers. Thank you, thank you 💜 I can’t wait to join y’all and live my best life.
Hey from the future! I'm in Lyon, France right now and am looking forward to more travel in the future. Thank you and Roshida for your wonderful Exodus Summit! It's been a great inspiration in reimagining my life as a traveler, freelancer and a freebird!
Stephanie, I love your perspectives. You are right, Eat, Pray, Love is connected to this coaching tree. I am in Bali on vacation now because of the book and it inspired me to see more of the world. Ideally, I will spend a month each year in this part of the world. I need more of your coaching tree to figure out to make that happen 😊
I had no idea how bad I was being treated in this restaurant customer base until I went overseas and received AAA+++++ customer service. I felt like one of the rich and famous. Like you Stephanie..I refuse to spend money in a place that mistreats me. I wait to travel to go out to eat.
Love this video! For the question at 20:29, I think getting a formal diagnosis can be helpful if you need (1) medication and/or (2) accommodations at work (the second one can be huge for covering your butt, setting up a case for you to get more paid time off, and just generally making your working life easier especially in the US). There are caveats to that though -- know your rights and never divulge any medical details to your employer that you don't legally have to! Otherwise I totally agree that you don't need a label to start making beneficial behavioral changes!❤ I think the thing I want to learn the most right now is: becoming a stronger swimmer and being more relaxed in the face of uncertainty.
From the future..oyster mushroom in olive oil seered..with crisp kale and kabacha (roasted) I think it's called I always for forget. Has the green skin.. similar to yam taste, sliced narrow .. my favorite vegan made up dish. Both lite olive oil salt pepper.😊. Excellence list started swimming for exercise. Not crazy about facility.. in search.. has to be convenient
We too much alike Stephanie. Who can I learn from someone with no soul? Mother always says I am a free spirit and never meet a stranger. All my wonderful ideas I have seldom stayed with long enough to profit from them, personally. Such a wonderful life to be like a butterfly.
good morning from the future! love this video, you said two of my favourite words...peace and joy...I need to add abundance to that. Also love the hair! looking so beautiful::)
At least for ADHD, having a diagnosis means that you will make appropriate changes. It means you can get the help that you need. For example, a lot of budgeting and declutterring strategies will not work for ADHDers. Going down paths that aren’t for you leads to shame. So at least for ADHD, a diagnosis is helpful.
Cutting out or cutting down sugar and alcohol will do wonders for your health. With mushrooms dehydrate them before pan frying them to use in the place of a meat patty. Put portobello mushrooms in the oven on 250 for a few hours to dry it out. Then pan fry it to crisp it up a bit and use like a patty.
Wedding soup without meatballs. Onions celery carrots spinach veggies broth and spices orzo pasta- delicious I saute this morning mushrooms with vegan butter garlic, poultry seasoning, lemon pepper and sea salt tasty on avocado toast.
Stephanie, I am awaiting membership approval for the Facebook summit group. Girl, I am so in agreement with you about Atlanta restaurants... It is a slave driven environment . I hate it here....I am trying so hard to get out of the US, specifically Atlanta....Covington and work in Dunwoody...
I love Atlanta! Moved away once for 6 years. It is different, very materialistic - that's what I don't like.. I would love to join you all next week , I enjoy your channel and tell everyone about you. Hopefully, I can take a sabbatical in the next 3 or 4 years.
As a native Atlantan, I agree wholeheartedly, Stephanie. Atlanta definitely feels like a caste system that "thrives on exclusion." Plus...how CAN everything be so spread out and congested?
For REAL. I agree Stephanie. Some tables are just excuses What if therapist say you experienced trauma or you are reacting to a trauma bond. Who hasn't had trauma. BEHAVIOR: What you gonna do to live fully and stop hurting other people who are trying to help you, OMG.
Hola from the future! This reminded me that I made a series of videos about compound interest. I’ve accepted @StephaniePerry’s challenge and uploaded them to my new-ish RUclips channel. I’m also sick of just splashing around in the water and want to be able to confidently swim for exercise and leisure.
Good evening Stephanie, I saying hello from the future. Great discussion. Here is a suggestion. Can yoy fly next door to Panama? I can get nice eighteen carat gold there. When I go, I get jewelry repair. So maybe you can get a duplicate earring. Thanks for everything that you share. Great Exodus Summit 2024. this year
Lion's Mane is every yummy thing. It tastes like the seasoning that you choose and the texture is similar to chicken. A fav along with shitake and oyster.
I’m stressing about the multiple planes in the air. The autopilot helps. I can’t work full time, raise a 18 month old, do my masters and lose the baby weight. The Ozempic has my weight loss on autopilot though. A live in nanny is helping. But work and masters needs my input all the time 😂. I need to figure out some better systems
You said it after I thought- substitute mushrooms. But you need to really if your goal is weaight loss and to feel better- you need to get the mindset to eat more veggies and see the benefits. So for that I'd watch folks who motivate you about health! Here's video on Chef Babette: "Vegan since 1990! 72 Years Young; Chef Babette" The principal is not "I eat..." or "I exercise ...x's a week" instead CHANGE YOUR IDENTITY to for example "I'm a healthy person so..." For ex. as a healthy person, I NEVER go to MacDonalds or fast food- b/c it doesn't FIT an identity. Not my concept but a proven to make big changes...and I realized that is what I do... That way you don't make decisions in the moment- another ex. "I don't smoke" rather than "I"m quitting....." The former is like no, never happens not who I am...Hope I explained it clearly and that it's helpful for someone.
Yes, that Bernard guy has a lot of good recipes. I'm going to start trying some of his. Some recipes call for LOT ingredients, but there are some good ones out there that are simplistic. Sweet Potato Soul youtuber also has some good ones.

I love the goals. I think we are the same person. I also appreciate the read on the Atl. Whew! 😅 Because Black must be Black 🌻🖤 But wait, I thought Atlantians spoke!
Mushrooms….it’s all in the seasoning. Grubanny and Healthy Vegan Eating have good channels. So does Ty’s conscious kitchen. 😊
Good afternoon!
You are right, stay in the hotel as much as you can, it's safer in Atlanta
Exodus summit is the butterfly effect. Good reading! Check it out.
Do you speak multiple languages? If so, what are they….one of my goals in this 50’s chapter

Hello from the future!
Focusing on what you want and ignoring what you don’t want is CLASSIC adhd lol. There are strategies to help you. I promise.
I love serving myself. I would rather serve myself and know what is in my food and activate my food with love, peace, prosperity, etc. than to have others cooking my food who may pass sickness and have not have a good spirit to transfer into the food I eat which is why I don't eat out, except on special occasions.

Good morning from the future, gorgeous.
