  • This short compilation follows the demolition of the Granite Run Mall; from June of 2015 (when it first closed) to November of 2016 when the only two reminders of Granite Run Mall was the Boscov's and Sears. Eventually, this will be replaced by Promenade at Granite Run, a mixed-use development consisting of residential, retail, and entertainment, which is expected to open in 2017.

I remember this mall like it was yesterday. I miss this mall. It was much better than Springfield Mall

I agree - it had so much more to offer. Margaret Kuo's was one of my favorite restaurants. It's still there, but not quite the same 😢

My father use to bring me here when I was younger, every Saturday he would take me to go get chick Fil a and go to showcase comics and I would always buy a little action figure toy. I remember some things there but watching this I remember a whole lot more now, it’s depressing to me that this isn’t here anymore and I can’t revisit this mall, now it’s just a shopping center with restaurants, it will never be the same. I miss this mall so badly, the Springfield mall can’t even get onto its level.

I miss it. I grew up with this mall and it was a huge part of my life. I got my first job there at Suncoast when I was 18. Worked there for 4 years, then FYE for 2 more.

The 80s music in the background makes it feel like a time warp. That usually means the end for most places. Kmarts in the area were playing that retro music too towards the end before they closed. Granite run mall was a great place to go at Christmas time. Many years went there to ruby tuesday, got drunk, then went shopping spending more than I wanted. Great times. Bazaar and macdade mall other great memories. But malls even like King of Prussia is a thing of the past. People go to cheaper places like walmart and target or go online now. And now with covid 19 all the homebound people will shop online this year.

I have so, so many memories from that mall. Today, there is definitely a lot more there, but while it does feel pretty modern and clean, it’s now just this sterile feeling. Nothing warm and welcoming about it in my opinion. I really miss that place. The AMC theater is looking reeeeeeeally rough too!

4:32 That empty, gray storefront of the left used to be Suncoast Pictures.
