Doing Ireland on the cheap, yet drinking in Temple Bar? A pint in a pub in a normal pub is €3.60 to €4.20, it's €6.90 in Temple Bar, error no 1. If you used different hostels around the country, you'd have saved a fortune on transport and hostels. You could have shaved 125 off that total price with a little more insider knowledge and eaten even nicer food. Live and learn I suppose, delighted you liked it.
Yes, you're right. Temple bar can be pricey, but we know the majority of people watching our show will want to visit it while they're in Ireland, so we wanted to film it and show the cheapest options that Temple Bar has to offer. In our travels we often go to pricey spots to then show the cheapest option we can find in that expensive area of town.

its interesting ...as a dublin person i never recommend temple bar nor will any other dub yet as you said there most people watching your video will want to go. I dont really know why ...i mean you can get the same craic in darkey kellys, or staggs head, or o donoghues ...or o neills...which some visitors do go to. Baggot street is full of good bars....camden street too. Temple bar is really overpriced. Its strange that its included in a video about doing ireland cheaply.

I recommend going to Co. Mayo next time you go to Ireland. There is a lot you can do there and Westport House is a great place to go in the summer

If you want to do Ireland on the cheap, remember that Dublin is very expensive...but I love my ancestral home. Temple Bar...terribly overpriced but fun atmosphere.

Awesome video. I plan on visiting my Great-Grandfather's homeland of Northern Ireland, next year. I live in Canada and there is a new flight company coming in March 2019 and the prices to fly from Ontario to Dublin is super cheap , so I definitely want to visit Ireland and visit some of my long lost relatives that I have found during my AncestryDNA search.

There's loads of places to visit in northern Ireland I hope you get the chance to come over. I'd recommend spending a day or 2 in Belfast and ask the locals people seem to find us super friendly and that way after a bit of conversation and a few pints you can find all the places that you would be interested in. If you are planning on coming over don't be afraid to message me I'll try give you some advice
You only spent a walking tour style day in Belfast. Big mistake. Belfast comes alive at night. You missed out there. And Donegal. You went to Ireland and didn't go to Donegal. It's beautiful. You spent too much time in Dublin. Not enough time seeing Ireland at its best, which is outside the major cities.

Yeah you really should. I worked in tourism retail for six years and met thousands of tourists over that time. Most that I spoke to said they preferred Belfast over Dublin because of how much friendlier the people were. Just avoid it in July if you can. There''s still the annual period of trouble in the city then. Glad you enjoyed the trip though.

Next time you come get a chicken fillet roll in centra, its the best thing ever.
You can rent bikes for 10 euro In the phoenix park, Go through the forest and you'll see a load of deers
Ask someone where they go to drink/eat and you'll get better deals.

Do you know that the city of Bangor was named after the Irish town (we don't call everything a city) of Bangor is in Northern Ireland,. Northern Ireland is a place that people should explore more. Especially for the interesting modern history. The murals alone in Belfast usually spark interest (art from the troubles).
I had heard that before. Pretty cool! I hope to get back to Ireland soon!

You had some good craic guys (hope locals explained you meaning :)). I used to live 4 years in Dublin, now miss Irish accent(s), amazing atmosphere, godzillion of pubs and fantastic craft IPAs. Hey someone in Ireland, have a pint of McGargles Big Bangin' IPA if you haven't done yet (not an ad, just miss it so much :'( )

I'm from Ireland and one of the best days drinking i've had in dublin was in temple bar, we went in early and had the craic with tourists. Its a nice spot but way way way over priced. I wouldnt recommend it if your doing it on the cheap or if you are don't go mad. about a 5 minute walk away you can have the same craic but cheaper.

Diceys do pints for 3 euro by Stephen s Green. And a 5 euro whopper lunch at 1 o clock, Dublin ain't cheap though. Rent a car and go spinning to Kerry, west cork Galway, Sligo, Donegal or any coastal county really they'll knock your socks off with views
