I am literally broke. I spent all of my money on my PC and monitor and mouse and keyboard. Do you think I can make youtube videos with a headset for a mic even just to start. I mean its the best I have and I really want to make this work, what u think?
I don't know why viewers are afraid of seeing their favourite streamers make money. I got a comment during stream saying "What's with the ad, are you here to make money or have fun?" Or some viewers getting annoyed at TTS for bits, sounds alerts for bits, legit dude, I'm unemployed, I stream to make money, viewers are clearly having enough fun watching to donate.

@@davs.motivation I can understand legal reasons why a creator wouldn't show their numbers. But why a viewer gets mad at someone who does that does not have a legal reason stopping them is more what I was referring to.

I would absolutly love to see a full breakdown of how much money you make, and how it's made. But something else I'd love to see more. Is a video on how to find sponsors, how big you should be before you approach one. And maybe even what red flags you should be looking out for. Same with orgs. I don't know much but if the company is making money when you aren't in whatever they are offering you, you shouldn't be taking that. Also make sure you have other people look over that contract. You probably shouldn't go the sponsors and ask them, you don't need sponsors to be a legit streamer or to afford rent if you annoy them they might put you on some sort of blacklist, etc. You should let them contact you. The reason he doesn't have a video on finding sponsors and the like is because its a bad idea for you to contact them. If you are really struggling with the rent make a youtube to get extra income and also get a job, (it can be something like Harris mentioned in the video) even if it cuts into your stream time (streaming constantly won't help you get viewers most of the time, let alone make a financial impact.) Also I don't know if this will make an impact, but maybe give value to subbing or donating, like adding TTS (text-to-speech) for certain amounts of donations like $3 or more is TTS and maybe adding more sub emotes so people have more of a reason to sub besides just supporting you. (I don't know if that makes a difference though, but usually I feel way more against subbing whenever there is like 4 emotes compared to a different streamer with like 24, this should probably be the last thing though.)

I also think it's interesting (and somewhat feeds into the "charity" mindset) that when you approach the industry with a challenge (i.e. make money other ways aside from your followers) they don't reply with answers or theories of their own - they just ask you to give them an answer to your challenge in a how-to video.

Thank you for being so honest your videos have helped me so much its insane.
Thanks for the ideas. Been wanting to do a lot of these. This pandemic is kind of kicking me in the pants to start them. Thank you.
You helped frame an idea I was trying to form. Thank you for this video
Do the video! I'd love to see the breakdown and learn from it. Its not about what YOU make...its about how we can progress into the world of content creation as a career.
dude! i love you content. as a new streamer 37 followers (look out now) i needed help and often find answers here. glhf :)
I also think it's interesting (and somewhat feeds into the "charity" mindset) that when you approach the industry with a challenge (i.e. make money other ways aside from your followers) they don't reply with answers or theories of their own - they just ask you to give them an answer to your challenge in a how-to video.
Hey Harris. What are some ways to transfer viewership from RUclips to other platforms. For reference I’m at 5k RUclips, 700twitch, 150twitter, 60 insta
Thanks for this man. looking to get started crating content.
Amazing content as always Harris!!
I’m probably late to the game with this but I’ve just started taking a crack at streaming and content creation on youtube and I would definitely take a course from Sam!
Love the videos btw Harris!
I've been scouring the web for years and this by far is one of the best videos that has sparked what I've been wanting to do/start. Thank you for this!
Would also love a breakdown of the money you get on twitch specifically. The insight would go a long way in helping wrap my mind around this method.
Harris, thanks for all your videos man!
Yes, do the video on the revenue thing, that would be amazing!
