I heard Patsy Montana singing this song when I was a kid and I loved the yodeling part. I would dance around the house singing it and doing my best to yodel. Everyone laughed and told me I couldn't be a cowboy's sweetheart because I was a boy. I liked cowboys a lot and didn't understand.
Every time we turned the radio on when I was a kid we heard Patsy Montana singing, "I Want To Be A Cowboys Sweetheart," & I thought she was great but couldn't hold a candle compared to Leann Rhimes!
+robert a Goodall I've heard her do this live twice and she was phenomenal. They've unnecessarily amped her voice here. Suzy Bogguss' yodeling style is completely different from Leann's. I've heard her yodel it at least 12 different times in concert too. Suzy Bogguss' version is also phenomenal. Patsy Montana lived to hear and embrace both versions and both LeAnn and Suzy Bogguss.
+Rusty Wolfe ... Regarding Amplification: Yes, that's True. But in some Venues the Organisers/Producers INSIST on Controlling The Sound. Even today (at age 33 - asat 28th October 2015), LeAnn will NOT Lipsync unless The Venue Absolutely Insists On It. She Hates doing it even then. She says that Her Fans go to Hear HER Sing In Person, Not To Hear a Recording: They can Buy a CD for that. LeAnn is a Wonderful Artist and a Beautiful Person. I have known her on Twitter and Facebook since 2010. She was the 2nd Person that I Followed On Twitter after I set up my account. She has Followed me since early 2012. She's really friendly and can be really funny when she wants to be. We respond to each others Tweets almost every day.
+Neville Madden I've seen two concerts of hers and met her once. The first time she appeared here was after the Blue CD was released and One Way Ticket was released as a single. After hearing Blue over the radio and watching both videos I had to go and see if she was for real. She certainly was! I brought my CD and a photo from the souvenir table with the hopes of getting her to sign them. There was a small group of us that waited and we were told that she had to do a couple of radio interviews and as soon as she finished, she'd sign for us. We waited and 15-20 minutes later, she returned and signed for everybody that waited. She was as nice, friendly and as kind as can be. But she only signed LeAnn and I've always wondered if that's the way she always signs. If she does sign Rimes but does it rarely, it would make autographs with her full name more valuable to collectors. I can give you three examples of this - Lucy and Desi never signed their last names, it was very difficult getting Grouch with Marx and Sonny and Cher very rarely signed their last names. That's why I've always wondered how often she signed Rimes. Whenever they inducted Patsy Montana into the Country Music Hall Of Fame, it was a huge mistake not letting Leann and Suzy Bogguss honor her together. They both kept Cowboy Sweetheart alive and they are both great! Suzy Bogguss is as nice, as friendly and as kind as LeAnn. Whenever I saw Leann the second time, it was at a music festival and there wasn't any way to meet her. She sang one song at that concert that should've been released as a single and it was a HUGE mistake that it wasn't. More Than Anyone Deserves is one of the best songs that LeAnn has ever recorded. But because it was never released as a single, not that man y people have ever heard. It's truly a missed gem.
+robert a Goodall LeAnn doesn't need or utilize electronics. I don't know what gave you that idea. You're completely wrong. Have you ever heard Rosale Allen sing Cowboy Sweetheart? She was better than Patsy Montana and she be in the Country Music Hall Of Fame. But she's a female, so Nashville doesn't care about how great she was or all of her musical accomplishments.
thats Marty Stewart, a musician of the first order. He is an outlandish and hilarious guy whose fashion sense is, at least for stage performances, flamboyant and odd. Off stage he is far more normal.

+Betty Hicklin Sorry but I heard her do it without the help of electronics and it was awful. One thing Patsy Montana never needed help with.

Okay but look at the announcer's hair/outfit combo. THOSE PANTS ARE WAY TOO TIGHT FOR THE TIMES.

+BabyLouBee ... He was probably only wearing what "WARDROBE" provided him with.
wish Lee Ann Rimes would tour again!
she always tours. I've seen her 2xs, once in 2016 and Christmas 2018. she always tours for Christmas.
