Desert Camping Shelter Walkthrough

A place to come camp with your friends in the Sonoran Desert. Final project ARC 222 2022s.
Rammed earth domes were created with the earth removed from the site. Below-grade construction offers cooler temperatures through passive heating and cooling. The middle bathroom structure has an inverted dome to capture rainwater like a bowl in order to be stored in a cistern and used for sinks, toilets, and showers. The structures can sleep up to 6 adults with plenty of room for storage underneath the sleeping bench. The sleeping bench can also be used as a kitchen counter when preparing meals and the hanging stove has a flat top rim for cooking and grilling on.
