Great stuff - such "root rock" - love Johnny Winter's stuff (a bit later) just as much 💖 Tunes that sound best played on a bombastic Zep acoustic kit! 👏🤘
Question….. you play both traditional grip and matched grip extremely well and I ask why? Do you favour one over the the other? I’ve never managed to get on with the traditional grip. Drummers like Phil Rudd play matched grip and it been commented by his studio sound man that his snare Would go out of tune during one song as he hit it so hard. However Stuart Copeland plays traditional grip and states it’s because he can hit it harder.. is it a jazz thing? I’ve tried for ages to get the traditional grip to work but it just feels wrong . In fact Stuart Copelands grip isn’t actually traditional. He holds it a bit odd . I’ve always played with my left stick the wrong way round holding the the skinny bit and hitting with butt end. I like the feel of it even on the light strokes. I found out Nicko mc brain plays with fat end which made me feel like not quite such an odd ball…
I just switch between them mostly when I play Jazz, it's just a feel thing. I learned playing Jazz and trad grip, but then started playing Rock as a teen and switched to matched.
I often wonder if you are rebounding your left hand on 2 and 4 or burying it then lifting? Either way, that’s a killer groove on an all time classic! Thanks Professor!
I also love Jeff Beck's rendition of this song. I pray you keep up the inspiring beats for us peeps in youtube land! God BlessYou. 🥰❤🔥🙏d🥁💪
Thanks, yeah JBs is killer!
The most underrated King!! What a voice and chops. Such a shame he passed so young.
Sounds so great!!! Thanks!!! I often sing this song when I'm in an elevator.
Nice job man. This album is fun as hell to play on drums. You can get in the pocket HARD on key to the highway and I’m tore down
Yeeeaaahh!! So that’s what Bonham would sound like with Freddy king!
Funky drumming George! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That kick accent off the back beat you did a couple of times was way cool. 👍

I do both, but I often mute or dead stroke the rim shot on 2 and 4
Cozy Powell Version Live with Michael Schenker and Peter Green is also a solid Track
That snare is the THE snare.
