    Everything you recommended for Juki TL series. of machine is spot on. The thread, the extra bobbin case for different thread thickness and that pin point machine oiler have made my sewing experiences very easy and enjoyable. The needle does make a huge impact on that happy free sewing day. Customer service on your part is above and beyond. Thank you.

    BOKI! You are a life saver! I have been trying to FMQ some lace appliqués to my daughter’s prom dress. It is a white stretch knit, I’m using clear thread, and I was having NO LUCK. I was not getting skipped stitches. I was getting NO stitches. I had resigned myself to the LONG task of hand stitching 🤦🏼‍♀️ Then I saw your video. OMGEEEEEEE! I was using a ball point needle because it’s knit fabric. I just tried a top stitch needle and SUCCESS! Thank you so much for this video and all your amazing tips.

    The Schmetz brochure is fantastic. I bought bulk needles (100 qty #80 microtex my fav for quilt piecing) from them, and they shipped the brochure. Understanding the metrics of the needle (all the parts) and its marriage with thread/fabric will help a sewist ensure that the needle, thread and fabric are working harmoniously. Too often folks want to avoid learning the objective attributes, and then complain that the machine is at fault. Often it is user error (and I have raised my hand on this, too). Take the time to learn the attributes so that you can make informed decisions for your project. More importantly, when things go wrong, you know which variables to control to get the results you want. Also, most thread manufacturers will provide needle guidance for the thread you are purchasing. There are also many online guides showing same.

    • @TheEliza422
      @TheEliza422 2 года назад +1

      I believe that is HAx1 is the Organ needle brand designation for the same type of needles Boki is showing, the 130/795 H that SCHMETZ uses. I use all SCHMETZ all the time with my 2010. The HLx5 is also an Organ designation, that is a slightly different needle design for higher speed machines like the 2010. I would imagine if you are running it at really high speeds they might be a better choice. You can find them online, I’ve seen them on Amazon, sewing machine parts online, those kinds of places.

    I watched this closely, even took notes, but somehow still find the size thing an issue. I think it's a math block, but I do extensive beadwork and I have a clear understanding of beading needle sizes. Does a size 10 beading needle have ANY relation to a size 10 sewing machine needle?? I made like note cards and stored my machine needles accordingly, but that sort of a size comparison would click in my mixed up old sewing lady mind...thx!!

    • @notesfromleisa-land
      @notesfromleisa-land Год назад

      It's not a math block, but likely an apples and oranges block. There are many online resources (including this channel) that help with the metrics of sewing needles +thread choice + application. Best to understand the metrics of each application to understand if it is an apple, orange, or grapefruit comparison. (I say this as someone who does NO handwork)

      Thank you. Question. Since this is a poly thread is it ok to use with cotton quilts? I’ve been told that over time the poly will sort of saw through the cotton. I know you guys have some cotton thread and I want to buy some but for now I just bought some glide. What’s your thought on I swing Poly thread with cotton material and batting?

    Thank you for this info? So, on the website, I saw the Schmetz nonstick needles. Can I use those in size 100/16 on my Juki TL-2010q?

    I prevent gummed up needles from adhesive residue, by never using the products that creates it! 😂😂😂. Its not worth it.😊

    I have a Juki hzl LB5100. Help ! ! I have owned this for over a year now, I cannot get it to zig zag correctly without skipping major stitches, I was told not to use any other needle then a juki , which are almost impossible to find. I recently found a guy on here who is a service man and he swears my only issue is the wrong needle, i make doll clothes, i use lycra alot for swimwear and dance, gymnast etc. i always thought a ball point was the correct needle, this guy says no i need a stretch needle, which I didn’t know existed… now, whats your opinion? Thanks

      Try this pack which holds a variety of needles jukijunkies.com/product/schmetz-costume-pack-10-pack/
      I would test sew on some normal cotton and see the results. If it doesnt skip stitch with cotton and a universal needle then we know its the material youre using and the setting our machines at. Adjust pressure foot pressure and needles till you get it to work :)
