I don't have Meijer, but still watch. It can be a good reference. Prices continue to rise. Most of us are having to make changes in our food purchases. I am 70 and don't have a family to feed. I feel so bad for families with children. Thanks Danno, always.
    Blessings❤

    Reusable small grinder containers:
I'm using the smaller grinders @ Trader Joes for Black Peppercorns & Sea Salt crystals once emptied to grind other whole seasonings like Red Chili Pepper 😊 A lot of other small grinders do not come apart before you recycle!
I hope this is helpful to our fellow Dannomites 😊

My garden potatoes are going strong! I had to "mound" them up yesterday. They came from the grocery store. I'm trying to find a bale or two of hay to keep piling on.i also use grass clippings.

I am definitely going to get the peaches. If they are as good as last year then it is worth it! Last year I canned most of 100 pounds. They were so good that I have been rationing them. It takes 2 quarts to make a pie or cobbler. You can go through them fast.

I live in the twin cities in MN. We don’t have most stores and I don’t know why, but we don’t have Meijer, Publix, Kroger etc. We fall within the area of HyVee but Cincinnati I don’t think have that. I watch the Meijer, Kroger etc videos anyhow. And then when he goes to Aldi and Walmart and Target that applies to the stores here.

@@CarmenMarie13 HyVee is a good store I do like it. I just kind of wish Kroger or Albertsons or someone like that would also open stores here. I think there are a lot of independent grocery stores around here, and so there’s just less chain stores.

My top freezer pull out drawer is lined up with 3 rows of marked/dated Ziploc freezer bags of veggies & nuts which is rotated and used up within 2 to 3 months = no food waste for my family of plant based eaters 😊

Hannaford in NY yesterday apples 2.99 a lb all kinds. I bought 4 apples. No bagged apples. Bright spot chicken thighs were .99 cents a pound. I wanted to make the recipe I saw on RUclips for Lincoln’s favorite dinner chicken fricassee but they did not have one of the essential spices mace for the recipe and the marjoram was teenie tiny for almost five dollars. I live in the middle of apple and onion country in Orange County NY so I don’t get it! Thanks Danno!

Check your growing zone, I'm in zone 7, we don't get local until July-August. The ones at orchards out of your zone could be Canada or Mexico. One Farm says theirs is from MS. My garden isn't big, but my tomatoes are in bloom, Picked 2 buckets of green beans, which I want to expand, but have no room for. Our Strawberries are just about out of season and beat the stores in smell and taste, 12 pints of Jam were made. Heat is our big issue, though we've had lower temps and excess rain. July it will dry up till September. And Tap water is not as good. Poplar Report has a podcast on the replacement Cholrine, it kills plants, and pets, and tastes nasty, even if you let it sit for days. My small town hasn't changed over to the new GREEN JUNK.
