Wow, this is a whole different experience without the vocals. Oli is an insane vocalist, but the instrumentation really shines through when the tracks are being played without vocals. This band is extremely talented. Hopefully we see more of their stuff on this page. Stay tech!
these dudes are TIGHT! a friend of mine knows them personally and he told me they also absolutely destroy every live-set (he toured with them once) because they basically rehearse all the fucking time and every one of them has the album on their inear-monitoring instead of the livesound
holy shit, it has gotten to a point where im no longer intrested in the mixing, but rather the recording. the stems seem super clean, its like its been pre mixed already ! super hyped!
Guys.....I was sooooo excited when I saw this video suggested! A couple months ago I saw Archspire, Obscura and Beyond Creation at the same show in Atlanta GA. It was hands down the best sounding (and energetic) show I have ever seen in my 38 years. Those 3 bands nailed every song and sounded like studio tracks, I mean the sound guys did an amazing job. Been watching your channel for some time trying to get better at recording My own band so thank you for the help and thank you for the awesome post!
I do really like the way that the natural sound of the kit kind of offsets the obvious kick sample so the drums overall still sound exciting and dynamic.
I don't mix music but I just love these unboxing videos. I learn a lot about music production and how each of the pieces of a song go together! Thanks so much!
When I first heard this band I thought they were the next ROS... Then I realised they actually write amazing music.... Then I saw them live and realised they could play everything perfectly. Amazing band
It's amazing, there are lots of the bass details that could have been more present and did not really make it through the final mix, that's too bad, according to me, there is a real lack of bass in the mix and in the mastering process, what you do around @18:45 is really matching the whole band work, and offers a more wide frequency spectrum...
Man, I wish I had access to this kind of stuff when I transcribe music. Most of the trouble is trying to hear what an instrument is doing and separating multiple mixed tracks of the same instrument.
It's so cool that through bands like Arschspire and Children of Bodom, metal heads are being introduced to classical music (this exact quote of Mozart is also in Children of Bodom's "Red Light In My Eyes pt. 2"). For me, 20 years ago Children of Bodom were the gateway into the world of classical music. Archspire are doing the same for dozens of teenagers out there today. Music is awesome.
@@2174863 You're not first one who says this, many also say that necrophagist are the most complex on guitars... Gotta say, archspire have for sure, some of the most tech vocals out there....
Phil Bozeman definitely needs props and respect but he hasn't been the best for years. Big chocolate, Ben duerr, Jon huber, Alex terrible these guys are "better" in my opinion. Oli is still my favorite vocalist though!
The only raw tracks i really, really want to see is from Shadow Of Intent, those guys are insane. And the fast growl parts remind me of the beginning of the reclaimer album. It would be great to listen to every instrument individually.
Spencer plays with kick pad live anyway. Very little editing though. Hes natural playing is half the charm unlike all the drummers you've unboxed so far
This band is fucking top notch and this record is the best death metal record in 2017! But still, I don't get these "they are perfect live, every note is played perfectly, I know it, I've seen them" comments. They are great live, but sloppy in some parts. Sure they can play it, but even in guitar playthroughs or demonstrations they pretty much slide their way through some hectic sections. They botch pretty often, especially Spencer with his continuous double bass parts or standard blast beats. But at the end of the day, they are pretty much the only true Ricky Bobby! Every damn song by them is dripping with nasty sounding riffs and licks. They will never put out a bad record or bad song, I bet my ass on that! Also Piss!
They aren’t perfect, but I appreciate deans RUclips channel. It’s nice to see his process as in depth as he goes with it. At the end of the day I’d rather have imperfection instead of straight fakery.
Saw them play live in a very small venue ( I was standing maybe 15 feet from Spencer), they are the real deal. The description of the video makes it sound like he's using triggers, but I dunno.
Sure, played and edited like everyone else. I commented before I listened to the hole thing. My comment was based on the tones that I heard where mostly sample based as shown in the video. Dude is sick, just my first impression was on how unnatural they sounded.
@@drkstrndConsidering how advanced this drummer is and how often he plays those super fast double kick bursts, I would say that he can play those with no problem... BUT i think at such a high tempo it sounds awful ! :)
Oh really? They said it’s all real? Including the bass drum so fast that it sounds like a computer farting? Or Infant Annihilator Suure Like why would a band about sPeEd and tEcH not be honest about that...
How sick is this session?!
Man, I love this question, everytime it gets me :)
Anybody else pay for this and realize that the kick, snare sample, and bass di are cut off after the 1:00 mark?
So fucking sick! Thank you Eyal and archspire for this.
Not to be a stickler but it's Ar(K)spire
This track is 2nd only to Involuntary Doppelganger ;)
Archspire is:
Robocop on drums, Terminator on bass, Matrix on guitars, Dark Vador on vocals.

That honest "what the hell" of amazement Eyal whispers at 24:22 pretty much sums it all up.
He is definitely not BSing his excitement about this one lol
Go to 25:43 for *BARBARA*

It’s crazy how much goes into all that too. You can tell how much work they put into their craft

You know, the crazy thing is that these recordings sound so damn good raw that I wouldn't even know where to start processing things.
Dude youre spot on. Even the cymbal spill in the snare track is beautiful.

Rings of Saturn is super legit imo, Ulta Ulla is fuckin sick
I’m not even that much of an ROS fan and I’m still hurt
This is awesome and helps to appreciate what Archspire concocted even more!
Wow. What a treat it is to listen to these isolated tracks. Thank you for this!
Wow. That's one of my favorite band. That was great to ear each instruments. Thanks for sharing this
So well engineered to hardly have to mix it.
Its true
There’s a saying, “ track like there’s no mixing, mix like there’s no mastering.” These guys seem to take that to heart.
well a lot more tracks than I expected. Pretty freaking cool.
Anyone excited for the live stream next!? 😍
That drumming at 4:10 is just impressive
Could you upload a Track of just bass and drums?
that sexy heavy and flourish basspart at 15:04, though - baam, that's why I'm staying tech
Archspire is nutz!
Holy awesome technical musical brutal death metal 🔥🔥🔥
that was the most brutal first 11 minutes of these unboxings yet. Im stoked to mix this. Thank you guys for these rare chances you give us.

FUCK I love this band.
God I love this band. I don't know how they can top this album.
Guitar tracks sound amazing, inspirational shit.
Spencer Prewitt plays 20in kicks stuff with pillows and uses triggers and has super high tunes heads
Wow they are good.
YES

Hi everyone ! Is there any instrumental version of the album ??
Fkn love this band
340bpm kick bits? these are insaaaaaane

I want a video with just the drum sample
And I though the Attila session was insane drumming wise lol. Soooo many double bass parts, 32nd notes and blast beats.
RIP Cubase.
Okay, let's see how much Eyal fanboys today...

Dayum!
So, are the guitars quad tracked or are these just different mic settings?
BAAAARRRBUUUUHHH

somewhat triggers me when the kick sample is in stereo, or there's a little bit of spice going on, idk
yes, pun intended because the kick is either triggered, using pad, or the Kohle technique

I mean the only "fake" sound is the kick
those vocals don't really sound so raw
personal opinion but i dislike that snare sound
Snare sample isn't in phase with the rest of the snare is probs why
Piccolo snares or nothing 😂😂
Those super fast (32th ?) double kick bursts are awful tho'.
Sometimes faster is just too fast and in poor taste.
I dig that snare !
