Imagine if that officer wasn't close by on that other call... So many more people would have have been killed or injured.

It's her yelling, "don't shoot him" for me! Like he just killed two people in front of you and he pistol whip you! Wtf? She going to visit/write him while he's in prison. I hope CPS do some investigation, that baby ain't safe with her either.

I'm not surprised she said that. Women who are involved with that type of guy, always(usually) have dysfunctional relationships with their own father.

The comment points to the fact she has some sort of stockholm syndrome. The man shot a 60 year old nurse and then the girlfriend said dont shoot him. She begged for the man shooting innocent people to not get shot. She was yelling and escalating the situation. oh my god I work I'm a healthcare worker, I'm definitely seen as dispensable by my employers but this is a whole new level! they didn't even alert the hospital staff that there was going to be someone dangerous inside
I know right! I am in Healthcare also with constant overhead pagingwe get, fire drills they are constantly running why could they not announce this real life threat to everyone in that hospital?!

The county not communicating with the hospital about a felon on parole being given permission to visit his newborn is beyond stupid. It’s the DAs fault, and those two ladies blood is in the DAs hands.

Absolutely! There have been other HOSPITAL killings that should have put the red flags up that people can just walk in and do this.
Should have had them in place at all hospitals, restaurants, stadiums, schools, wedding reception rooms, CHURCHES, malls and food stores.
The only reason I still work as an RN is because my psych unit is locked down, everyone gets searched by security in and out, and the nurses stations are locked and protected with bullet proof glass. But out ER? anyone can walk in--no metal detector, nothing. We find strange people wandering the other units all night after visiting hours are closed. Nobody does anything about it. I am so sad about this incident. I hope the families sue for millions. It's the only thing hospitals understand---money $$$

Innocent hospital scientists, basic physicians and cleaners could have all got killed just by walking into that passageway. Better systems need to be in place and implemented with best practice management procedures.

Methodist Dallas Medical Center has some of the worse nursing staff in the DFW area. They are very biased and racists. I remember the nurses in the Neuro ICU referring to black patients as ‘homeboy’. I also remember the nursing staff in the NICU asking the social worker to file CPS reports just because they didn’t have a good feeling about the parent, not basing it on anything substantial.
