Girl...I cant tell you how much your videos make my day. From your voice, the background music, and the content...omg i look forward to all of it. Your presence is on youtube has literally been the "chicken soup to my organizing soul". As cheesey as it sounds its the truth. I check youtube everyday to see if theres a new video up.

    Good tips Nikki...
    - I drop my magazines off at the nail salon since I go there every few weeks. They appreciate it and others get to read or take them home.
    - I take all those collected pens and pencils and drop them off at the college near me. Students are always needing writing supplies.

I like the idea of not having seasonal wardrobes. I have moved from the desert to the mountains and thought I needed two separate wardrobes but I have discovered that I still wear my faves most year round. I use a separate coat closet for winter and the rest is yearly in my main closet. I previously have been storing winter and summer switched out in the attic, too much work!!! Thank you for this new way of looking at it!

My hubby and I have settled on going thru with your de clutter method! As I stated I purchased your first book from Barnes and Noble, I’m waiting for the 2nd book it was pre ordered. But I so enjoyed reading it and my hubby said finally! We are purging so I’m in it to be a testimony to all your great ideas. I will have to remember the phrase blessing to someone else. Never thought about keeping it up for the entire year, something to ponder. In Philadelphia we have cold winters which means heavy sweaters bulk space don’t always want those thing out during warmer season.

Excellent advice. I'm working on it right now. The more I pack up, the more there seems to be, especially books and papers. And those cords... I have a bag of them I haven't touched in five years. When I'm done typing, I'm going to walk over to that closet, pull out that bag and put it directly into the bin. One item down... hundreds to go. I'll get it done by my birthday. 2020. Making it happen. :)

Love the idea of the "crazy bag" . After getting rid of the ones you are sure about there are always a couple with a " ? " on them. Thank you for the videos, I usually pick up a useful tip or two but more than that they are very calming. Yesterday I was stressed and wired and bulk watched a few --- instant calm, I thank you but my husband Reeeaaally thanks you.

A lot of friends are giving me the side eye cause they want to “borrow it”! Yeah right I tell them to get their own. Of course this quarantine came right after I order the book from Barnes and Noble. Oh how I wish I were home, to read highlight and perform some of the ideas you have given for purging. I read on the way to work I enjoy your writing style. Thanks so much, please do a book on dressing and fitting Your handbag. Thanks 😊

I have a small basket right inside my front door for recycling junk mail. It helps to be able to look through everything as you come in the house and then put it straight into the basket for recycling later in the week (where I live we have recycling pickup once a week). As for magazines, I used to be a person who saved magazines for ages but never really looked at them again once I had perused them when they first came into the house. I had many subscriptions and you can imagine the amount of magazines this entailed. As my subscription renewals came up, I switched to digital copies that I could read on my iPad. Our public library also allows online magazine lending so I get to read a variety of different magazines without spending any money or cluttering up my house.

    Hi Nikki,
Thx for this video. My family recently moved to a smaller home. This is part of my retirement plan. I've been working on all 5 of these areas, however, it has been extremely challenging. I no longer have a guest room and my office/craft room is smaller. I still have way too much stuff! My major issue is old bill statements and receipts. Sometimes I'm not sure how long to keep them. I hold on to major purchase receipts and try to file them appropriately. I have to be more consistent in tossing the others after they clear my account.

I just bagged up a lawn bag full of clothes! I don't have any subs anymore. Got rid of all of them a few months ago. Mail is a tough one. I sort thru it as soon as I get home & grab it. I have a recycling bin right there. A shred thing that's actually a napkin holder. Hubby & I burned thru so many shredders we gave up one them. Now we have a box I throw it all in. When we get a few we take it to Shred-it. It's cheap and saves me the hassle of shredding all the junk & ccard offers. I just mentioned to him the we need to do a drop off right b4 I watched this! Lol. Next on my list is old kitchen stuff we never use like our George Forman grill. Haven't touched it in 3 years. Also, we never use teacups. They r taking up valuable space & Im gonna pack em up & get rid off them! Tx for sharing! I like to do these things on cold rainy wknds too.
