I'm an almost 21-year-old guy and I've grown a lot in the past few years. This is the last Gravity Falls related thing I'm going to be doing, so with this, I'm moving on (but never forgetting). Secondly, I was recommended this premiere though I wasn't subbed and tbh forgot about that video, but back in 2016 that was my favourite video back then, I remembered all the lines and listened to it consistently! Hearing this remake genuinely made me catch feels as soon as you started singing. I thought you were like 20 or something with how beautiful your voice was when I was 16 and still you sound outstanding! I can't believe you were a year older than me since you were my favourite singer that has done a Bill Cipher Song, and actually any song from 2016. No joke, this is one of the best songs that I have ever heard. Everytime I hear it, I get a rush of nostalgia. It reminds me of when people were making theories on how Gravity Falls would end, when fans were searching for the Bill Cipher statue, and it reminds me of when I would switch the channel to Disney XD to see the show's new episodes. Bill is the perfect villain. You can place him in other cartoon universes and it will make sense how he entered their dimension. He can fit in every story even as a side character and he will always come on top as the most powerful being. Every villain is out of their league against Bill Cipher.
The change of your voice definitely gives this one a different feel. The original one gave a kinda blazing unstoppable power feel like it's in the middle of conflict while this one feels more somber in a way that it seems bill isn't trying to intimidate but rather certify that he's already won and there is no hope (even though he didn't win)
Everyone of these shows have gone by and are going by so fast Gravity falls, Ducktales, Amphibia, and Owl house I hope in the future people will keep creating quality shows like this that people can enjoy that people from our generation did.

This means a lot to me... The first time I heard your original cover, I had just come out as myself, and it took a long time for me to get used to who I was. Now, I'm hearing this for the first time, and I'm now a month and a half on testosterone. Gives me hope for my future and who I am :)
So how's it going almost a year into having testosterone in your system? Genuinely curious as I've had it my whole life (male) and wanna hear a trans persons experience with it and if they noticed anything about it that I would've probably just glossed over.
@@Draco9909 honestly? been pretty interesting so far. my voice dropped about 4 months in and has stayed consistently somewhat deep (think what you'd expect your average younger highschool boy to sound like), I've started to grow a very patchy and light mustache and beard, and body hair has overall gotten much thicker and more noticeable. Apart from that I'm gaining muscle mass much faster than I ever did before (then again I do work a job lifting heavy boxes all night haha) and I've noticed I'm less sensitive to the cold. I think the most jarring switch is to be consistency read as male in public to the point I get homophobic comments about my long hair and pierced ears, lol. It's definitely been an experience so far.

As for the long hair and earrings the only thing I can think of is the area your in still has some old views on styles. Earrings hadn't been seen as gay where I'm at since my grandma was in her 30-40s I think. Though I don't know what to say about the long hair besides hippie and mullet days so idk what the cause of those insults are.

The old one is more high strung, like you’re desperately lording over the one you’re singing to, trying to make them fear you. This one is calm, too calm, as if saying you can best them without lifting a finger. It’s the vibes i’m getting which is pretty neat tbh. It reflects growth methinks.

I saw the original the year it was posted and loved it; I couldn’t stop listening. It became part of my morning routine. I found this video shortly after it came out, but I only now have the courage to comment after revisiting. Firstly, your voice is AMAZING. Almost reminds me of caramel, if that makes any sense lol. Secondly: It really brings pure joy to my heart to hear trans people continue singing after transition. It’s amazing to see their growth. I also take some comfort in it. I’m FTM and my voice dropped about a year ago. Even though I know that I sing in a lower range now, I still worry sometimes about the femininity of my voice. Hearing someone else FTM with such a lovely, smooth, and natural voice always comforts me because it puts to rest all of the worries I had about starting my transition. Please keep singing, your voice is brilliant!!! (Big sorry for the long comment, just wanted to make sure i correctly conveyed my message lol)
Out of genuine curiosity (not joking I actually wanna know this) how has your experience with the testosterone been? I've heard that ftm have trouble with the aggressive impulses that apparently come with it and wanted to know if you've experienced anything like that. Or just any impulses/behaviors that you didn't have prior that you have now as a result of the testosterone. If you feel comfortable responding I'd really appreciate it.
@@Draco9909 I'd love to give you an answer but it wouldn't really be objective- I have a number of mental illnesses that were also being medicated at the time, so yea, i had pretty bad outbursts, but I don't think they were related. The short time I was on testosterone & not other meds, i didn't notice any difference, but I was also working out because my doctor warned about possible aggression lol- so yea, in my experience, finding an outlet for aggression/anger during T probably helps but I can't say for certain lol

I remember when the stronger then you song craze was going on. Damn it has been a while and it makes me feel old. Where did the time go? Where has the world gone? Why does finding shit that was big make me feel sad? My whole life feels like I'm the last person onboard. I don't know how many of you know what homestuck is but joined the fandom in 2017 after the comic ended. I was going though a hard time in my life where i didn't feel much, i was moving from middle school to highschool, there was financial troubles, and my mom was about to give birth. That summer i felt alone with no one to talk to and nothing to do until a undertale rabbit whole lead me to homestuck. I ended up reading acts 1 thought 5 throughout the summer and was hooked. While reading i ,for what ever reason, desides to look up and download pesterchum a chatroom at based off same one from the webcomic. In a day i ended up making a friend who got me involved in a desently large chatroom that was a mix of rp and general chat. I loved it and got involved in the occasional rp that went on there. Looking back it was very cringy, but god if it wasn't some of the most fun i ever had in my life. We weren't trying to make a good story or deep characters, it was just random bullshit that we did for the hell of it. While there i always had this feeling that i was now a now a remnant of something that was once great. The app was made for Windows 7 and had not been updated for who knows how long. In November of that year the app stopped working for me and another guy that i knew. He has added me to his a discord server where a few others from pesterchum where. Once me and him realized that we could never uses it again we where distraught. I felt like i was cut off from the friend that had help me thought the my darkest summer. As time passed we all drifted away into other servers. Everyonce in a while i go back to his server and a deep sorrow for it's now abandoned. I miss it and i miss pesterchum. It feels strange going back to something you once where a part of and knew, knowing it will never be the same again. Many sites servers and chat rooms abandoned with the march of time. I wonder how many people look back on thing like this and feel a sense of nostalgia loss like me. Wishing that the good old days would return. I wonder how many people wished they where there for the good old days. If my ramblings have interested you to get to this point congratulations. I am not sure what about this video convinced me to wright this. Maybe i just wanted a chance to voices how feel about this, and a video looking back at something that i was a part of was the perfect opportunity.

This means a lot to me... The first time I heard your original cover, I had just come out as myself, and it took a long time for me to get used to who I was. Now, I'm hearing this for the first time, and I'm now a month and a half on testosterone. Gives me hope for my future and who I am :)
So how's it going almost a year into having testosterone in your system? Genuinely curious as I've had it my whole life (male) and wanna hear a trans persons experience with it and if they noticed anything about it that I would've probably just glossed over.
@@Draco9909 honestly? been pretty interesting so far. my voice dropped about 4 months in and has stayed consistently somewhat deep (think what you'd expect your average younger highschool boy to sound like), I've started to grow a very patchy and light mustache and beard, and body hair has overall gotten much thicker and more noticeable. Apart from that I'm gaining muscle mass much faster than I ever did before (then again I do work a job lifting heavy boxes all night haha) and I've noticed I'm less sensitive to the cold. I think the most jarring switch is to be consistency read as male in public to the point I get homophobic comments about my long hair and pierced ears, lol. It's definitely been an experience so far.
@@vixendoe huh neat. Didn't realize that there was a difference in noticing the cold because of the testosterone so that's interesting to say the least. As for the long hair and earrings the only thing I can think of is the area your in still has some old views on styles. Earrings hadn't been seen as gay where I'm at since my grandma was in her 30-40s I think. Though I don't know what to say about the long hair besides hippie and mullet days so idk what the cause of those insults are.

I saw the original the year it was posted and loved it; I couldn’t stop listening. It became part of my morning routine. I found this video shortly after it came out, but I only now have the courage to comment after revisiting. Firstly, your voice is AMAZING. Almost reminds me of caramel, if that makes any sense lol. Secondly: It really brings pure joy to my heart to hear trans people continue singing after transition. It’s amazing to see their growth. I also take some comfort in it. I’m FTM and my voice dropped about a year ago. Even though I know that I sing in a lower range now, I still worry sometimes about the femininity of my voice. Hearing someone else FTM with such a lovely, smooth, and natural voice always comforts me because it puts to rest all of the worries I had about starting my transition. Please keep singing, your voice is brilliant!!! (Big sorry for the long comment, just wanted to make sure i correctly conveyed my message lol)

Out of genuine curiosity (not joking I actually wanna know this) how has your experience with the testosterone been? I've heard that ftm have trouble with the aggressive impulses that apparently come with it and wanted to know if you've experienced anything like that. Or just any impulses/behaviors that you didn't have prior that you have now as a result of the testosterone. If you feel comfortable responding I'd really appreciate it.
@@Draco9909 I'd love to give you an answer but it wouldn't really be objective- I have a number of mental illnesses that were also being medicated at the time, so yea, i had pretty bad outbursts, but I don't think they were related. The short time I was on testosterone & not other meds, i didn't notice any difference, but I was also working out because my doctor warned about possible aggression lol- so yea, in my experience, finding an outlet for aggression/anger during T probably helps but I can't say for certain lol

I remember when the stronger then you song craze was going on. Damn it has been a while and it makes me feel old. Where did the time go? Where has the world gone? Why does finding shit that was big make me feel sad? My whole life feels like I'm the last person onboard.
I don't know how many of you know what homestuck is but joined the fandom in 2017 after the comic ended. I was going though a hard time in my life where i didn't feel much, i was moving from middle school to highschool, there was financial troubles, and my mom was about to give birth. That summer i felt alone with no one to talk to and nothing to do until a undertale rabbit whole lead me to homestuck. I ended up reading acts 1 thought 5 throughout the summer and was hooked. While reading i ,for what ever reason, desides to look up and download pesterchum a chatroom at based off same one from the webcomic. In a day i ended up making a friend who got me involved in a desently large chatroom that was a mix of rp and general chat. I loved it and got involved in the occasional rp that went on there. Looking back it was very cringy, but god if it wasn't some of the most fun i ever had in my life. We weren't trying to make a good story or deep characters, it was just random bullshit that we did for the hell of it. While there i always had this feeling that i was now a now a remnant of something that was once great. The app was made for Windows 7 and had not been updated for who knows how long. In November of that year the app stopped working for me and another guy that i knew. He has added me to his a discord server where a few others from pesterchum where. Once me and him realized that we could never uses it again we where distraught. I felt like i was cut off from the friend that had help me thought the my darkest summer. As time passed we all drifted away into other servers. Everyonce in a while i go back to his server and a deep sorrow for it's now abandoned. I miss it and i miss pesterchum.
It feels strange going back to something you once where a part of and knew, knowing it will never be the same again. Many sites servers and chat rooms abandoned with the march of time. I wonder how many people look back on thing like this and feel a sense of nostalgia loss like me. Wishing that the good old days would return. I wonder how many people wished they where there for the good old days.
If my ramblings have interested you to get to this point congratulations. I am not sure what about this video convinced me to wright this. Maybe i just wanted a chance to voices how feel about this, and a video looking back at something that i was a part of was the perfect opportunity.

I've seen a lot of remakes of this song, and all of them were powerful and all that. To see a somewhat gentle one like this is such a surprise, and I love it!
Now this (compared to the original) sounds more like Bill Cipher. If I hadn't read the description, I would've had difficulty thinking this was you singing this but you sound wonderful, and so very sinister for this character
i remember listening to the old version for the first time and that's how i was introduced to both you and steven universe ( I didn't know it was a parody of stronger than you from SU so when I found out I got hooked on the show and now a big SU fan, im still sad the series ended) i was really hoping that you'd make a new version and i love it!!!
