      Those stairs were for the old football stands, before Mt Davis was built. Sat in those for the 1995 season and were there in the Raiders prior seasons 1966-1981.

      I went to a Raider game there in 2017, and was super confused by that haha. I was sitting in what would be center field for the baseball configuration, and has no idea what that was

    Extra seats were used for Raider games back in the day. Also, important to note that the seats are about a half mile away from the coliseum complex as well, not randomly just dropped outside of it lol

    The Statue of Liberty is from when the All Star Game was in New York. They had one for every team displayed around the city.
    While most people are correct in modern times the stairs are for firework games, they were originally for football bleachers seats placed on the field prior to Mount Davis.

    i grew up going there. had a blast back in the day. Park was ruined when Raiders returned in 1995.
    The extra seats and stairs to nowhere were part of the Football arrangement.
    The A’s have been threatening to leave for a decade. I’m sure there wasn’t a lot of discussion about upgrading it

      They open it up after the game so the fans can go on the field for the fireworks show. I know cus my choir sang the national anthem on the field before the game recently and we got free great seats because of it so I stayed for the show.

    A lot of the old stadiums used to have the bullpen on the field (like Candlestick Park). The pitchers always had to watch out for foul balls.

    Couple kids recently at football game were enamored with pee troughs. They couldn't wrap their brains around community trough peeing. I just told them at older stadiums and arenas it was pretty common. They just stood their like Beavis and Butthead flusing it over and over

    The stairs that lead to nowhere. Actually lead to the field when there are fireworks at the end of the game and they allow fans onto the field. It's the only time that the A's games have some sort of attendance

      The old municipal stadium in Cleveland had pee islands. Big circular trough so you could stare deeply into the eyes of the dude peeing across from you.

    Scoreboard was fixed it was a sign in front of it saying Oakland Coliseum but then Ring Central had the naming rights for a time. When that deal ended they just removed that sign and never replaced it

    The scoreboard was finished it’s just that part was taken down by the last advertiser to hold the name of the park. Oh, and the barbed wire was for Raider games they just left up. Back in the late 80’s early 90’s the fences didn’t have barbed wire and it was a great park with no mt Davis

    In the bathrooms in Section 200 in shallow right field, the furthest to the right pee trough backs up with shit every game. I went to 15 A’s games in 2023 and every single one the trough backed up 😂😂 In all seriousness though, the “Box Seats” are actually great on the rare one off hot days in Oakland, the other side of the wall on most of the “box seats” have refrigerators for concessions on the other side so it stays cold!

    I’ve been going to A’s games there over the last 20 years whenever I’m visiting No Cal for work. And I LOOOOOOVE the crowd. Real baseball people. They have to love baseball and their team to go that place. And support the A’s even though the ownership is toxic. The fans are the BEST.

    The Oakland Coliseum is easily, hands-down, the worst stadium in the entire MLB catalog and it’s not the athletics fault it’s just their management is terrible. I hope that they fire the manager and sell the team just like the NFL did with the commanders

    the unfinished scoreboard is from when the coliseum was still under the oracle name. it used to say “oracle” but since the split they had to remove it all.

    it’s not an unfinished scoreboard. the stadium used to be o.co coliseum but once they got rid of the sponsorship, the o.co logo got taken down

    This was definitely made by someone born in the 2000s
    Patrols are easier because you don't have to wait in line. That fence is there so no one sneaks in. The stairs that go to nowhere is an evacuation plan you're supposed to go down to the field in case of an emergency. The unfinished scoreboard isn't unfinished. The terrorists Turf seats are family zones and kids loved playing on that you can kind of have like a picnic type thing there. The bullpen on the field were a common practice for most of baseball it's only been in the recent past that they got rid of that this is a dual use stadium. The log that's in there goes with the theme of that bar the treehouse. The extra seat sitting outside where the seats that came on to the field outfield where they converted it to Raiders games

    Oakland Coliseum to me meant A’s, Raiders and A Day on the Green mega concert events. If you’re from the area and grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, you know what I’m talking about

    A lot of people that aren't from #Oakland don't know that they've been sharing the stadium with the Raiders until they left...no team shares stadiums.💯✌🏼

      @@Oakland_KidThere are many teams that share stadiums. Lakers Clippers, Chargers Rams, Jets Giants. All of them are still pretty nice. Wear and tear isn’t really a problem if you’re actually putting okay money into your stadium
