My wife has a cerebrovascular disease (moyamoya) and she is required to drink 2 to 2.5 liters of water per day to help keep her blood "thin" so it can flow more easily through her narrowed carotid arteries and into her brain. We have been creating water trackers in excel so she can track her water intake but in the end it's been up to her to track and calculate how good she's doing each day. So this is actually a medical device (for her) to ease the task of meeting this protocol. I will be ordering one of these bottles today because of this review! (She's an iPhone user so hopefully the "midnight light bug" is or will be corrected soon) I appreciate your honest review of the crappy charging cable. We will be proactive to handle that component with care. Thanks again! You are helping to save lives whether you know it or not!! appreciate the help!!

I definitely bought the previous version and the same thing happened to me after just a few weeks of having it! The lid broke so I stopped using it and therefore barely drank water. I bought this new version and WOW. Definitely very impressed. You’re right about the charging wire is very flimsy and I’m praying the top does not break again but it is plastic. But overall so far I am loving this new version for sure!

I saw your bottle rock and back and forth. I’ve also seen multiple consumers complain about this issue. Is it a major problem? Do you think it’s a design flaw or done intentionally?
Hi there! What do you mean by rock back and forth? If you mean when it’s sitting on a flat surface, the bottom is rubber so it does have a bit movement if you tap it. But I’ve never noticed it in an annoying way or anything like that. Happy to discuss this more if you have follow up questions!

Hi there! Thanks for watching! Yes it does, your phone Bluetooth needs to be on and the water bottle is always on Bluetooth too. Whenever it is near your phone, it will sync up. With that being said, you can go without your phone for a while and it will sync up when it comes back online. I just don’t know how long you can do that for. Hope this helps!

Just ordered the limited edition amethyst color 😁. I have the limited edition lilac color in the hidrate spark 3 I think I’m going to still use it and just use the steel for on the go.

In the Apple Store, they show an animation that makes it look like this water bottle is compatible with Apple’s Find My Friends / Devices. Is that the case?
No in the app it saves the Location when your bottle was last connected and when you tap on it it takes you to Apple Maps and pins your bottle last connected location
Yes you can! If you are talking about adding your friends or family to be able to see who is drinking how much water and compete with each other lol yes you can add any fruit F’d or family if they are using the same bottle!

It says in the manual when the green light is flashing it means it’s “charging” and when it’s a consistent green it means it’s fully charged.

Only thing I have to say is your puck should take 2.5 hours to charge and when gully charged it will turn solid green

Good question! Yes, that is correct. It will measure every time you empty water and then leave it on a flat surface for a few seconds

How to figure out whether it is empty besides opening it and look inside?
After a while you can tell when you pick it up by the weight. Or just shake it around to feel if water is inside

It is a little silly at first. But I only charge it about once a week. And it's totally worth it for all the benefits you get in return!

I'm not too sure! I only have iPhone so can't test. But if the Hidrate app connects with the Samsung Health app, it should work!
