Chris has his favorite off grid jacket on. Nice milling on that mill. I started growing early already. Radishes, spinach, beets and Kale. I had to put heater on a few nights. CHRIS best way to cut that plastic panel is to.put your sawblade on backwards and it kind of melts it way across the cut. Knife does work also. Snow is just thick rain. Slow release moisture as it melts. Amazing drone shots. I just bought 3 Haskap bushes to feed the moose up at our property. OFF GRID LOGIC. Always colder than you think. Thats what keeps greenhouses going. Those jack are a pinch point special. Hey you 2 great progress and thanks for the video.
I don’t have a greenhouse, South Louisiana gardening doesn’t require one. But if you are interested in extending your season and protecting from late / early frost there are some neat ways to add a few degrees to your greenhouse. Cheapest is a few 50 gallon barrels full of water gives some thermal radiant heat short term, but burying a loop pipe below the frost line ( I imagine that’s over 7’ up there) with the inlet and outlet inside the greenhouse somehow circulates the air circulation with no fan. Another summer project because you don’t have enough. Ha
I always ask the young Jeep owners who mounted a HighLift jack on their new Jeep, why did you buy that. My buddies said I'm gonna need one, lol. Great video, awesome music.
Those jacks are the devil. Last year while attempting to help Chris lift a shed, one kicked and smoked me in the head. I won’t touch them anymore haha. Thanks for watching again, we appreciate your support!
A bit of extra work but I recommend double wall the plastic in the greenhouse. Then there is an airspace between the wall.August 15th in Bridge Lake B.C. all my plants touching the single wall plastic froze even with a heater many years ago.Almost identical size of greenhouse! Always was fun going to the plant nursery! Probably very similar climate but a little bit of warmth there drifting off the lake in the summer at night. Great video!
Oh cool, I just looked up Bridge Lake. What a beautiful part of our province you’re in! We are near the last city before the Yukon. I like that greenhouse idea! 💡 Thanks for the tip
Love your green house. I haven’t planted anything hoping to do that this coming week. I also like doing tomato plants and my husband likes cucumbers too. I also plant carrots for the dog. Haha. I was at the nursery yesterday and checking out the different veggies. I’m seriously considering buying a chocolate tomato plant. Cause when I’m a chocolate lover I just have to.😂 looking forward to seeing how your garden grows. Again awesome video. Take Chris and Kristie.
Oh dear, think everyone has been caught out with the wrong overnight forecast! We’re all so desperate to get started on getting the garden growing! I’m in UK it’s still way too chilly for tenders like tomatoes, maybe ok if you have a heated greenhouse. I don’t, I’m having trouble keeping my flower seedlings warm enough overnight in my outdoor propagator! Still not warm enough to start my outdoor runner beans. Spring seems to be on delay!
First time using our 'unfinished' passive solar greenhouse this spring and so far all my tomatoes are loving it! I lost all my tomatoes and peppers last year from the high tunnel so never again! Haha, live and learn right? Goodluck guys! We are in the Interior, not too far from you i guess.😊
Awesome video ! Wood stove solution :) Yes it's nice Chris loves to garden, Kristie you will love your greenhouse :) With my woodstove my greenhouse is good until -18c my plants survived that a couple years ago in mid May, my garden is all in as of May 7th & greenhouse tomatoes & cucumbers are doing great :)
WOW! That’s impressive!! I think one day when we aren’t working so much (we both work full time) we might heat the greenhouse. The solar is pumping this time of year. So electric heaters are in place haha Thanks! We appreciate kind words from fellow creators a lot.

That new machine is totally a game changer! We love to grow those things too! Hopefully we can get a garden in as well this summer, our last frost date is coming in a week or two 😃 Thanks for tuning in
We’re in Camrose County and l’ve got tomato, cucumber, some herbs and lm going to try 2 pepper plants this year. You’re right, they’re finicky but let’s give it another try. Going to go to the big green house l get my bedding plants from and see if they have anything else to put in there. Good luck with your growing season this year!

Garlic, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beans, peas, radishes, basil, oregano, and thyme.
Oh yes!! Those are all awesome choices!
We’ve never really grown much garlic. But I’d like to plant some this fall 🧄
