    THIS was for me, a LIFE-SAVER. My local Mercedes Benz Agency didn't even have the personal integrity to admit that they had NO IDEA about having to reset the aircon. Cost me HUGE money and suffering. Even the local Auto-Aircon. people [who the Mercedes Agents support] had no idea - tried 3 times, but couldn't figure it out. But that's NORMAL here in Vredendal, Western Cape, South Africa. SO, in desperation, I found YOU - and THAT simply WORKED, right away. THANK you SOOO MUCH.

    Assalam mualaikum, I have done exactly what you had shown & it works fantastically, it work continuously without stopping for 5 hrs after resetting it this morning. Before it work intermittently & at time the blower stopped. This was after I changed for a new blower. Probably the old blower is ok it is just the controller switch. Thanks a lot, may Allah bless you & give good tiding to you. JazakaAllah khair.

    Today I decided to re charge my 2003 S430, I connected the quick connect and it shows that I am at middle of green, I added a little bit and it was to quick it goes almost to full, I knew something was not right. My A/c still not blowing cold air. The clutch wasn't engaging and "EC light still on". After I saw your video, I decided to get the codes and delete them as you showed on your video. The light on EC turned off, set the A/C on full, reconnect R134a quick connect and finally got the correct reading, started the process to recharge and now My A/C is back to normal blowing really cold air! Thank you so much for this video. You saved me dollars!!!

    Thank you for making this video. If it wasn't so difficult to get proper internet connection where I am at right now I would've figured out this ac a while back. So instead of looking for videos, which takes too long to load, I tried finding all sorts of reading materials without success. Thanks again

    Great video!! It saved me hundreds!!! of dollars!!. My ac blower went out for quite a while before I replaced it. However, I still ran the ac unit to get a little draft cooling. The control unit probably sensed the lack of heat transfer and stopped the unit with an error. Works like a charm now!! 🤗🙏

    • @doubleedgesword3977
      @doubleedgesword3977 4 года назад

      I have the S430 2003. You may be low on refrigerant. With low refrigerant the compressor works
      harder and makes the little bit of refrigerant much colder to try and cool the car. However this will cause the unit to freeze up and trip the unit off. Hope this helps!

    Confirmed: This works on my 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. Interesting that we need to reset the codes in order for the A/C to work the cool air again, particularly after refilling the condenser etc. I guess I should realize the by now this car has so many fail-safes to avoid major breakdowns yet it still finds its way to being a major headache!
    On a positive note, this is more convenient than needing to hook up my scan device (iCarsoft).
    Thanks for the vid.

    Do you have any idea what an amazing genius you are good Sir! I have been to my AC repair centre 2 times now and had my AC recharged both times and the guy there does not know what the problem is despite me spending some £50. I was due to go back again in the coming days and I had almost given up trying to get my AC working again. By chance (searching for W220) I saw this video. I have just been out to my car and cleared the error codes and now my AC is working again. I am so happy now/ I love you (yes its true!!) and I love the internet. Thank you, thank you so VERY much for your help and for taking the time to post this video. An amazing fix!!!!!

    Just a question regarding the ventilation air flow.
    My left grid does not flows very much air. I check it pressing Recirculation and Start bottons and there are 13 items to check.
    When I check number 11 and press down selection temperature botton, the system flows air from the different air grids and left grud flows air fine, but after that, the system come back to the previous situation.
    Any idea or comment?

    Maybe you'd know - the BAS and ESP notification - would that be caused by an OLD battery, or maybe a worn-out brake -light switch? - my S320 (2001 model) with 235000Km. on the odometer is showing me "ESP" and "BAS" when I get started and drive around. How do you suggest I could fix this? - the car is completely sound and has tender loving care at all times : the oil and filters are regularly renewed, etc. I would very much appreciate your response and advice.

    What if i do that..thw air doesnt blow cold.full with freon..no codes..no ac/off light (yours has EC)? Fuse is good at the ac climate control. I have a list of nr codes... i wont list unless asked because its long. But code NR 2 list as -40, 0.
    Any ideas? New compressor last year..allnew cooling (clogged radiator caused it to overheat and the freon released). Pressure valve is good though.

      Hi,
      I can’t say this for sure but I would think that the issue is inside the compressor. I say this because the Air-condition systems is simply a series of pipes and heat exchange components. Essentially all of these are just pipes. The compressor however has a valve system which compresses the air. I therefore think it is worth checking the compressor. The two wires that go to the compressor enable the clutch assembly to engage. It is simply 12v given by the cars computer. If there is no gas in the system then engage the compressor by forcing the clutch while keeping the air conditioning pipes disconnected. You should then get suction on one side and this will tell you if the compressor is working.
      It could be other issues as well, but this is all I can think of from your description.
      Hope above helps.
      Regards
      Waqas

      You are welcome. Check the belt tensioner. Often the bearing is faulty and needs changing. If the car has done more than 100k miles, there is a good chance it is the tensioner. I have replaced this many times. The other thing to look for is the water pump. If you don’t have any leaks, then chances are it is the tensioner. They are cheap and easy to fit. Hope this helps.

    • @GamingTurkey

      Waqas Ahmed i got the AC checked, he said its the comprossor faulty. he checked it infront pluged it in the bettery and the compressor is not getting any power. he said it will cost 600 pounds D: is that over the top do you think ?

    Another great video! Thanks for these, they are really helpful. I've just bought a beautiful 2000 s320 (petrol) with only 67k on the clock (confirmed). The only problem is a battery drain that will drain the (full charged and new) battery after 3 days on the driveway. I can't find anything obvious, boot light goes out, Satnav isn't spinning the disc, no noises after switch off etc, but something is clearing drawing a fair bit of current. Have you by any chance had a similar experience? I would be very grateful for any advice. Thanks again.

    Hi Thanks so much again as with the others no one else knew how to sort this. I watched the video and went out to my car and all sorted....unreal Going over to a friends house tomorrow to show off my new expertise on his S class!! :-))) You touched on the link for the vents and how to set them up do you have that link available?

    • @WaqasAhmed-kj8ue
      @WaqasAhmed-kj8ue  10 лет назад +2

      Hi Nigel,
      Thank you for your supportive comment. I am glad the video was of some help.
      Regarding the vents; the climate control does not allow you set them permanently. The diagnostics is only there for testing. When you exit the menu all goes back to how the climate control software is programmed.
      When you turn the values on or off, each vent opens and closes. There is also an option which opens all vents. I believe it is the one that shows like a fan icon on the display.
      You can check if they all are responding or not, if not then you know there might be an issue with one of the vent servos.
      Also note that different devices such as the over head control panel provide information to the climate control. For example the cabin temperature. All of this is controlled via the CANBUS network. Some of the vents do not have CANBUS integration, therefore the real test would be to open all vents and then see if all of the vents are blowing air. It is very rare that these vents go faulty. Let me know if this information helps or provide me with more information on what you wish to do with the vent positions.
      Glad the video helped you.
