How To Open a Jar Lid in 1 Second!

  • There are other methods using elastic bands, rubber gloves, hot water etc.. but this method, for me anyway, seems to work great.
I've used this method to open a hard to open jar for years. It's very simple and doesn't rely on strength. The only thing you need is a cutlery knife.
I hope it helps some people.

Mine banged the top of the lid flat against the countertop once (sometimes twice) and that broke the seal. Never had a jar break, but this way is quieter lol

I prefer to very lightly tap it on the side of the lid on a concrete floor or pathway. The whole idea is to release the vacuum seal and while a knife does this job, you won't have to worry about damaging it.
