The iPhone 16 series just dropped. If we focus on the phone as a whole, you’ll hear many of the same things you do every year. The screen is nice, the speakers are good, using it it’s smooth and the camera takes great photos, here’s 100 different reasons why the 16 is marginally better than the 15 and there are tons of videos comparing all of that stuff already, and gets into that niche nitty gritty details instead I want to focus on the new features for this year’s model, and my experience with those features to see if it’s worth it as an upgrade for you. So here’s my first 7 days Living with the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro.

I have the iPhone 16 plus in black with 256gb. This iPhone is more than enough pro to me. And the 60 hrz refresh rate doesn’t bother me at all it’s an amazing phone I’m an apple guy.

Iphone16 pro's so-called 5x optical zoom actually crops the pic untill 5x. At that point the 5x tele kicks in. It crops in way too much between 1-5X. It would be nice to add a 3X lens in between. That way the zoom-in pic would have better picture quality consistency for 3-5x.
I currently have a 12 Pro max, that was a work phone and I kept it when I changed jobs. It’s too big for me, so I’m giving it to my hubby, as he prefers a larger phone. So I have to choose between the 16 and 16 Pro, I’m still undecided.
I decided to next for the next year iPhone! My iPhone 13 is still good though. iPhone 16 did not really get my heart for it to waste my 1000fr 😅😂 thanks for the review ☺️

1:05. Finally, a reviewer who actually plays Genshin Impact on the phone being reviewed (as evidenced by his level 90 characters, and said characters being Navia, Yae, Furina, and Zhongli). Too many times have I seen reviewers say Genshin runs well on the phone being reviewed but really all they have played is the start of the game (like all they have is a level 10 traveler and Amber, and level 10 enemies 😂).

Literally, the only thing I care about is battery and size lol! The plus and pro Max look WAY too big for my liking, so it’s down to the 16 and 16 Pro for me. is there any noticeable difference in battery life in either of those two models?
I went with the pro simply because of the 60hz, battery, and camera since I travel a lot and like to take a lot of photos. The 5x zoom is sweet because the zoomed photos are actually usable now.. and the wide lens bump from 12mp to 48mp is an absolute no brainer to me. You also get a slightly larger screen and faster processing chip which in all honesty is not something you’ll notice. This video breaks it down very well. I would go pro if you think you’re going to have it for 2-3 years and 16 if you’re planning on upgrading sooner.
Battery is almost exactly the same. Main diff is camera (if you take a lot of photos, especially nature, just go with the better camera) and faster/smoother (120 hz).
Currently on iPhone 12. Not sure if it’s worth upgrading to the 16. Thoughts?

Currently using an iPhone X and looking to upgrade soon. My battery life is terrible and I’m stuck on ios 16. I’m debating getting a 256gb 16, 16 plus or 16 pro (non max to clarify). I’m leaning towards the pro due to ProMotion. I’ve gotten so used to 120hz on my iPad pro that 60hz feels kind of slow. The problem is that the pro is quite expensive and I feel as though I probably won’t make use of the pro features.
What I like about the 16 plus is the better battery life and the lower cost compared to the pro. Unfortunately though, the phone is a bit big and I’m concerned it would feel like a brick in my pockets.
Now for the 16, the lower cost and smaller size are nice, but I think I would prefer to get either the bigger battery of the plus (even though I’m unsure about the size) or ProMotion on the Pro.
This decision should not be this difficult yet it somehow is. If the base models had even 90hz I’d instantly go for them and not the pro.
One thing about the size and weight for you: 16+ and Pro are the exact same weight, so feel free to get the plus! I think it will be comfortable, just get used to the size/usage!

Just wondering if they could've increased the usability of the camera control button by enabling scrolling through media in the Photos app or scrolling through files and media in general in any other app as well.
Only major difference with pro is 120hz and third lens. Thats it.

Have to say 120hz screen is the deal breaker for me, otherwise the colors from non pro version are wayyy better.
What a mad thing to buy a phone made out of ‘premium materials’ that need to be protected by a cheap plastic case, thus covering up the supposed superior materials which you NEVER see or feel anyway 🤣 Just make the phone out of the cheap plastic that’s tough and durable!

I have been thinking about upgrading my phone. I don’t upgrade my tech too often because I really, really take care of it since it is all so expensive. When iPhones hit the market, my first one was an iPhone 3G. I used that until the 6 came out and upgraded then (I could hardly type on my phone in text messages anymore because it was so laggy). Then I kept the 6 until the X came out and that’s what I’m still using. It is no longer being updated by Apple and it is starting to show its age in places, like when I’m out and about and not in wifi and need to do an internet search on something and it just won’t do it. I’m sure my apps will start dying off soon, which is what happened to my old iPad (I used my first iPad for 10 years before upgrading to an 11…like I said: I keep my tech for a long time. I only upgraded the iPad because it was a useless brick to me by the time I upgraded it).

We’ll see…Like I said, I keep my tech in really good condition, but you can’t do anything to avoid the regular slowdowns that happen with older tech. Mostly, I’m just cheap! Hahaha!

Which iPhone has better speakers? iPhone 16 or the 16 pro?
Pretty sure I've heard other youtubers say the Pros' speakers are somewhat better than the 16s, with the Pro Max's being even a little bit better sounding than the Pro due to the size.
