I just dont understand how your channel hasnt blown up with subs by now, i personally like the way you edit these videos they are calming and easy to follow, you dont rely on OverTheTop sound effects or edits just to keep the viewers engaded.

Thank you so much Will - I really like watching you process your photos. Your workflow makes a lot more sense and makes me think more when I am out taking photos and not just clicking away and being disappointed when I look at them later.

Hi Will! I LOVE your approach to editing! You have opened my eyes for sure! 👍🙂
I somewhat disagree with your comment about not watching too many tutorials. I think you need to watch until you find someone you really switch on to. If i stopped... I wouldn't have found you 😉

Your tip for "letting it marinate" is the single easiest and most useful tip! I've just edited a whole series of photos from a holiday and once done with my main edits, waited a week and went back to look at them again....such good advice! Thanks Wil.

Love your tutorials and appreciate your guidance. Its nice to see your editing and how you keep the image true to the actual subject. Really like the warm contrast against the cool blues. So beautiful!!

What a brilliant tutorial. Such a refreshing change from what I've seen before. I've been snapping away for over 40 years but only recently got into digital editing. This is exactly the type of guidance I have wanting.

Brilliant! You honestly demystified the editing process. Others want me to think it's magic all you are asking me to do is play with everything so you know what everything does and that's true for editing with ANY software. I knew that but was afraid of messing things up such that I couldn't recover. There is no worrying about that. I can't screw things up so badly that I can't start over. Thanks for the tutorial. Totally enjoy all of your videos. Keep doing what you are doing.

Really have learned from your videos and explanations and my own workshops and style is evolving through your mentorship.

A great video again Will, what I really like is how you recall what you saw when you were out in the field and then applied that to your image for the eye to follow. I reckon most of us forget to do that when we’re out there, and get too excited.
I will try to add that to my workflow when shooting. Stop, Look, Remember, SLR no less!
Superb editing workflow with the brush Will, I didn’t know that about the history.

You posted a similar video with a different title on 8 Oct 2023 using as an example another backlight photo , making similar points (darker blacks in the foreground), using brushes, hue n saturation, dehaze, marination stage.

Hard to quantify how much the dehaze tool and the split toning have damaged the overall landscape photography shifting newcomer's view towards what's a good photography and a good edit.
