I doubt if Missy or Georgie had acted like Sheldon, she would have responded the same way.
The thing is he's very obviously Autistic, but what makes him a giant pain is how the family deals with him. In this episode he's traumatized from choking (understandable) but instead of helping him work through his fears they're catering to his fear. They're doing a huge amount of work just to avoid triggering something instead of focusing on the emotional issue he's currently dealing with. By doing this we all start to hate him bc it's by his fear the family is doing all this extra work. We want Sheldon to just be NT like the rest of the kids so he doesn't need different treatment, but he's always needed different treatment bc he's ASD. Sheldon was perfectly capable of blending his own food, or for the family to work up to meat on the bone, such as with soft foods like the mashed potatoes. Instead they jump in and do everything for him, that makes him act like an entitled brat. He could have at minimum been an independent capable child meeting his own different needs, instead the family does everything for him.

I normally agree with this but I will say after he got joked he was traumatized. It doesn't take much when you're a small child to scare you.
