Hey love/ I just watched the big video of your whole journey. Now I'm just watching some other videos. I really want to walk the way/ just how you did! I hope I can.
That albergues in Puente la Reina you stayed at had bed bugs. Got bit all over my back and killed 2 under my pillow. Surprised because it was very clean.
New video every Saturday at 7am PST. Except this week we will be skipping this Saturday to spend more time editing this next video. It’s a big one. Please stay tuned…..😁
Lovely views you are showing us on the Camino. Thank you so much Crystal for sharing 🙏 The sculpture on the hill was amazing and even watching from home it made me quite emotional. I can see myself making this journey soon
Great to see all the familiar faces again especially Val and Clair ❤ Really enjoying reminiscing our time on the camino. Not sure if you ever figured out the map on the Buen Camino App, but if not, for future reference, you scroll to the bottom of the page of the town you are in, click on ‘view on map’ and it gives you a live satellite map (you are the blue spot) of where you are on the Camino. It doesn’t need Wi-Fi so you never get caught out or lost!! A lot of people don’t know about it, but it saved me a few times 😂
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us. I plan to do my first Camino (Frances route) in May 2023. You are an inspiration. Thank you for all your hard work preparing and posting these videos!!!
This will sound utterly stupid, but it works; it makes sense, too. And it makes sense for it keeps the weight of your equipment of your body - and this lessens the stress on your joints. For nearly two decades I drag my rucksack behind me on a trolley. It sits ( with a foam mat acting as a gap ) on top of my portable toilet. God bless its little, flushing heart! The pop-up toilet. shower pent is hooked-on with carabiners. I no longer hillwalk, per se. My walking routes are now , chiefly, Ways and B-roads. So having my own ' port-a-loo ' gives me an endless amount of confidence and arrogance!!
...its among your strongest moments when you are caught in ordinary challenges like needing to pee, and there is nowhere to attend .. :) also the underlying score makes it somehow feeling like a crime story ...so much fun!!! :)
Thank you! Not really - at least not any I’m concerned about. The Camino may have some wild dogs further on and you will definitely pass by horses and cows though I felt safe. The only thing that I wondered about was the bulls but that’s more of a concern on the Norte route.
I've been walking caminos since 2016, and completed the Camino de Madrid about 10 days ago (5th one - 3000+ km). The Madrid camino ends at Sahagun, and it's the CF from there on. There's no such thing as an easy day on the camino. Sorry to say it, but you've got some steep climbs and descents (climb to O Cebreiro and descent from Cruz de Ferro) coming up before you reach Santiago. Keep it up, you will get there, and you will understand that it's all worth it.
@@vanhallaadventures On my first camino in 2016, that was my reaction when I spoke to a Mexican (at Samos monastery) who was then on his 5th camino. I thought that he was totally nuts, and swore that I would never do another one after so much effort. 6 years later, here I am doing still walking caminos every year. I'm not really a walker, and I don't do any training the rest of the year -- just get off the plane and start walking. It's no walk in the park for me, but an extremely grueling experience.
For those watching, I went to download the Camino Ninja app yesterday and it’s no longer available:( The creator passed away - sad news. On another note, thanks for your videos. I appreciate you keeping it real along the way☺️
I would always bring them but I would walk half the day in sneakers. I really liked the Altra’s once I picked them up later on and I just tried Hoka too and would consider that as well. I like being able to let my feet breathe in the afternoon/evening.
I don’t know the names of the ones I got recently but I ended up walking in chacos (love!) and Altra’s with added inserts and those were the BEST for me.
Hi I know you are farther along than your videos but I wonder about sending your pack ahead to give your body a break but still walk. I am sure that you have received tons of advice. Buon Camino!
Lovely video because it's real and there are no pretensions. I would love to see the preparation you undertook prior to starting this journey. Did you go for walks or exercise in some way? I was supposed to start the Camino right when Covid started and so it got postponed and I am still struggling with the idea of when I'm going to do it as now I developed some health issues.
We will release a video about how much train for the these walks but for now all I have is this video link below. ruclips.net/video/JY5-fQOLeIo/видео.html
Crystal, I love you & just how real you are! You are so brave and inspiring! You photography in this video is so beautiful! Great job all around! Thank you for sharing your life lessons along the way - helps us all learn with you. Blessings, dear one, as you continue your journey! You are never alone! Praying for you as you go! ❤️🙏🏻 Judith
Crystal u are amazing, still staying cheerful & positive through pain! So glad u know likeminded people along the way 💖Resting is essential, what a cathartic journey!! 😍🇦🇺🥂#LadyPilgrims
I thought your face looked familiar and I thought I used to watch your van life videos. I. went to back video and sure enough I matched the video with your hubby face. How come your husband is not doing this trip with you? Now back to watch your video
Because people are at work, or in their homes ….and children are at school….. and the route goes through quieter areas, smaller villages and the countryside!
Oh my gosh, just get down and piss in the fields. Nature will thank you for that natural fertilizer without pestizides. Think for a moment how weird you are, that you cant simply piss in nature! thats the most natural thing to to! Feeling not to can simply do it is just sick !
I think you may have made this comment without watching the full video…you missed the point…but thanks for watching ✌🏻the camino is a great place to release judgement. I highly suggest it.
What an adventure
I love seeing the Joy on your face

I always hike in the summer time in my chacos!!!
You can do the same think on Buen Camino ;) I used buen camino on my solo walk all the time ( I was 54;))
I’m so inspired by your videos! Thank you for sharing ❤

Thank you Margo! I’m so thrilled to hear you are walking 😃 it was by far one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

Another great video Crystal, absolutely loving this adventure that you’re sharing with us. Safe travels and I hope your ankle behaves xxx
Thank you Stephanni 🤗

Beautifully done . Informative and super Great photography . I felt as if I were there too . What a trooper you are ! Love it !
I've really enjoyed your camino journey. It's given me some motivation, thank you so much crystal. 👌
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching!

You are great 👍, are there wild animals there

Did you booked all of your rooms ahead of time?
Yes most of them in advance and some during the walk.
Another great edition! Loved seeing Val and Claire, too! Thanks, Crystal - keep the videos coming. It's like re-living my pilgrimage.
Oh I love hearing that Cathy ❤️
Great videos and helping me prep for doing the Camino next year, thanks so much
I was so happy to see a new video today! You are doing a great job on the walk, Crystal.
Thank you!

5 Caminos! Wow. So impressed. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Enjoying the videos. Hoping to do this next year at the exact time, so very keen to watch your trip

I did the Camino Portugues this summer and your videos take me back to that time. Thank you for that!!
Aw I love that for you!
Hi, after your feet experience...if you were to do it again, would you walk always with trekking sandals?
I would always bring them but I would walk half the day in sneakers. I really liked the Altra’s once I picked them up later on and I just tried Hoka too and would consider that as well. I like being able to let my feet breathe in the afternoon/evening.
@@vanhallaadventures thanks...consider half walk on boots and half on sandals could be a good option!
I enjoyed your video. I am starting at Pamplona in a few days so good to see what is ahead . May avoid the steep descent.
I think you meant discrete not indiscrete
What brand of shoes do you wear, thanks for sharing this with me ☺️💞
I don’t know the names of the ones I got recently but I ended up walking in chacos (love!) and Altra’s with added inserts and those were the BEST for me.

Why are these towns and villages, like, empty? Serious “the hills have eyes” vibe!
