That nighthawk/ blackbird combo looks to be awesome quality!! Also, that way of rolling up clothes is super cool and I’ve never seen it done before. Excellent video, and that’s a nice looking jacket, as well. Have fun at your gathering, and I wish I was going!

Great video. That pack and haver sack . Is a great idea. It's a nice set up. I think it needs pocket on the out side .of the bag. Either way it's nice. I hope they sell and make you happy. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts. Can you put a hip belt on it.

Cool Ranger Roll Blackie, I'm gonna remember that one, I liked the waterproof one too, but the one you rolled by hand was way smaller looking at it on screen, both of them looked excellent.

Interesting🤔.... used a "Ranger roll" as a sleep system; and a " Grunt roll" for clothing was just skivvies, socks, and a shirt..... never done it with trousers though. Might have to give that a go

@@blackoracle69 😅 i actually gave it a run about an hour ago, before i saw this, its in my lap right now. Took my hunting duds (trousers, short sleeve shirt, long sleeve button down, socks, and drawers) still space to add gloves and neck gators and have it be a perfect convienent size to sit in the bottom of my pack.😁 dang good tip, i like this one

The pack & haversack combo looks pretty sweet. Man I wish I could go to your event, but just a little to far (1300miles). We had -18 c (0 F) last night, long range weather looks like that’s the end of the cold temps but that can change with tomorrow’s forecast.🔥🇨🇦

if you mean my gathering yes i will be there from wed lunch til sunday lunch we will go to the surplus place around 11 til 1 but be back at camp after that

I was Marine Infantry. We also, always kept 2 pairs of socks, easily accessible. I personally kept a pair in my left pants cargo, and a pair on the inside of my LBE, to keep warm, if it was cold out. Regular sock changes on a long hump are essential to foot health. I also made sure to have a small travel size container of foot powder. Great video! I look forward to getting my Combo.
Question: have you tried using an Alice frame?
you are correct when you feet are tired and burn stop change socks it makes a huge improvement
i have and you can do it with a alice frame
