Ooo Angelfall another throw back!! I read the entire shiver when I was 14 & yes that was the biggest waste of time 🤦🏻♀️ YES I hated all the crooked saints. I used to love that Half Blood series. I don’t think I finished it tho, shame I enjoyed the legend trilogy but the second love interest really bothered me. He was 20 & the main girl was 15,,,big yikes! I hope you feel free after this cleanse!! Also congratulations on 9k!!!! That’s amazing 💗🥳

I’ve recently stopped buying so many and bought a kindle and buy books I really wanna read when they on offer for 99p. I struggle to get rid of books but after recently going to my local library for the first time I decided to go through and donate books I no longer want. Seeing unhauls makes me want to get rid of even more so thank you 😊

I LOVE the Legend series! It was one of the first books/series I read that shattered my heart. The story of a broken country and two broken people who want to be together but can’t be together because of all the hurt they’ve caused each other ....it still makes me pause. The ending is realistic and bittersweet and I love it. I haven’t read rebel and I’m honestly scared to. 😬 In a lighter note, I’m also getting rid of Sweet Evil series, they’re fun books but I don’t even remember the plot or the characters.I never finished the series and if I want banter and sexy scenes I’ll pick up a Sarah J Maas book ( a court of mist and fury) lol
Divergent was one of the first books i read with a group (outside of school). None of us ended up liking it as much as we thought. Only one out of the group decided to read the second book, but stopped after that.

I felt the EXACT same way about Renegades!! All the characters felt bland and undynamic. There was no pull. Which was surprising, because I absolutely love The Lunar Chronicles!
yes exactly!! the characters in the lunar chronicles are so exciting and fun to read about and spend time with, whereas the characters in renegades are BEYOND boring and worse than unsweetened oatmeal 🤮

Honestly with All the Crooked Saints - I’m not surprised. BUT knowing the context of where she was at helps with the book I think. I might read it, but I’m not sure if I like the premise. I’m surprised Maggie was able to even right and publish anything during that time, she was loosing herself.
throneofpages She had undiagnosed Addison’s disease. She was literally tired all of the time and she was losing memories. I’m surprised she was able to finish The Raven King and still made it amazing despite some of the flaws it has. I’ll look for the link that describes what she was going through.

I went into it thinking it was something to read but my god I was blown away during the second, third and even the fourth book. Maggie has a way with words. The Raven Cycle is my third favourite book series of all time after Throne of Glass and ACOTAR.

I agree shiver was overly angsty and I reread it this past December and I was annoying that the author had a unnecessary sex scene in a ya book just so the falling action of the plot can get started

throneofpages the lack of self respect was just... astonishingly gross. I’ve never seen characters behave like they’re brain dead 💀 i mean, the way she let him walk all over her was mind numbing and in the end it’s all okay because suddenly he’s willing to open up. The plot is boring too.
