omg i need a video about "the divine comedy" and about "les miserables" let's keep the tradition going like for "war and peace" "anna karenina" and "the count of the monte cristo" 😍😍😍😍😍
Bella poker face while trying the drink was the highlight of the video 😂. Also a 24h readathon about only danmei would be so iconic. It's not a want anymore... it's a need
The Divine Comedy!! :bibble: finally! Honestly don't be scared, once you get into to it it's not that hard to read and the notes are so helpful, and it's so much fun, Inferno is literally just Dante's burn book and I love that for him. I can't wait to hear all your thoughts on it!
btw the heartstopper vol5 you bought is the US edition which has different pages and greenscale artwork instead of greyscale like the original UK edition which is what your vol1 is!:) also ... les mis is hard .. but since you've read so many big classics before I believe in you!! and it's good when you're into it and at the good parts and I was (and still am really lol) obsessed with the musical so it was great fun to read all these extra scenes and context and everything. but he does like to ramble sooo you have to push through the opening which is 50 pages about this bishop who is only relevant for like 20 more pages after that and then like 50 pages on descriptions of the battle of Waterloo and far too many pages talking about the history of the Paris sewers.. like he just really likes to overcontextulise so just be prepared for it😅
IT'S CONFIRMED I HATE THE US EDITION 💀🤡 (also i love how you always know so much and you share it with me 🥹💗) thank you for letting me know about victor hugo's love for yapping, i'm definitely going to keep that in mind when i start les mis so i don't get discouraged 😌
I studied the Divine Comedy at school here in Italy, it’s pretty difficult because there are a lot of references to Italian history and famous characters. The best way to read it in my opinion is to watch videos or read some analysis that can help you understand better ☺️
girl i was scared for a moment when you said to guess what intimidating book was on the boox, i was like, THE DAMN BIBLE? you got me in a chokehold JAHAHAHAHAH
You’ve read Anna Karenina, War and Peace, The Brothers Karamazov, and the Count of Monte Cristo. If you’ve read those then you can definitely read Les Mis!
thank you for the info about different editions of classics! every classic i’ve bought and tried i just picked up a copy at my used bookstore but i think they’re the most dense and hard to read editions. I couldn’t get through Jane Eyre and was struggling so bad, and my friend pointed out that i had the super long dense version of it, i had no idea there were different versions. You should make a little “beginners guide to classics” and how to find those editions with notes👀
When u said u where going to read a big one again, i was like "i want her to read les misérables one day" and then u just bought it ! im so happy and excited about it. i had to read it for school and since then victor hugo is my favorite author, (i cried reading his collection of poems "les contemplations") but like.... i dont even know what to say im just so happy
« Les contemplations » is a collection of poems he wrote while grieving his daughter, and in exile ; so the ensemble is very sad but also very beautiful 😭😭
I read the first 25% of les mis in high school IN FRENCH . I promise you, it is easier than tons of classics you have read. It is to me at the same level as monte cristo. Also your copy is 300 pages shorter than the original in french. It often happens in translation from french to english
Another extremly good italian classic is "My brilliant friend", written by Elena Ferrante! (plus all of the books following the first one AND all of her other work)
It's okay, just think of Les Miserables as a series! It's split into books. And it's WONDERFUL. You'll be okay! 🤗 Also, you've reminded me of the excitement and joy I have to look forward to once I'm allowed to buy books again, so thank you, I needed that. 😭

OK LISTEN, I am here to offer some encouragement and advice - Les Mis is one of my favorite books of all time. It single-handedly dragged me out of one of the worst, literally years-long, reading slumps of my life. It *will* take you a while to get into it probably, the beginning is notoriously slow and starts out with describing the life of a character that, while a major catalyst for a LOT of events that follow, basically never shows up again. Once you get past that though, I think you should have a much easier time because the characters are amazing. The characters are what carry the book. Sure there is stuff that happens, but what you really end up caring about is Jean Valjean and Cosette and Marius and the Amis. Also, it is *the* book of morally ambiguous characters (and I know how you feel about your gray characters) - a huge theme is how people who share the same qualities end up being either 'good' or 'bad', even though all of them are doing what they consider is right. The only other thing that I would add a little warning for is Victor Hugo loves going on tangents. Like, you will get five chapters of the actual story and then one of him explaining to you in great detail why the existence of the French sewer system is the main reason the country is struggling economically. Or him imagining himself at the battle of Waterloo. Or telling you everything that happened in 1818... you get the point. I personally found them amusing, but they won't be for everyone, so just don't lose hope when you encounter one of them. Take them at face value, not as something you need to remember for the rest of the book, and be safe in the knowledge that we do always eventually get back on track. Really hope you have a good time reading it! Edit: oh also! Would highly recommend watching an adaptation to get visuals for it. I like the 2012 one :)
okay you had me at "the characters are what carry the book" and "morally ambiguous characters" i am a CHARACTER DRIVEN GIRLIE THROUGH AND THROUGH!!!! this has made me even more sure that i'm going to enjoy the heck out of les mis!!! it's also very encouraging to hear that it's one of your favorite books and that it helped you get out of such a horrible slump!! not the yapping about the french sewer system though HAHA not gonna lie i'm kind of looking forward to getting there now 😂 i've actually watched the 2012 movie/musical when it first came out and i'm high key considering a rewatch before i start my read just to fully get in the mood for it. would you say that's a good adaptation? also, thank you soooo much for your comment, it honestly made me feel a lot better and even more excited to start my les mis journey!!
Was waiting for the haul!! The way I saw this right as I was going to write, the timing!! Congrats with all your new books Bella, so excited to see you read them 💜💗
i’m french and les mis is my absolute favorite french classic. i don’t know how the translation holds up but the book truly isn’t that hard to understand once you get into it and it is SO GOOD! (hugo loves his descriptions though,,,)
I’m SAT for the danmei readathon. The Grandmaster donghua (not the live action) is a pretty good companion with the novel from what I’ve seen. And thank you for the info about The Divine Comedy! I also would rather find the right translation than to have a matching collection.
I cried so much watching the donghua! Nothing can beat the books imo but the donghua is amazing. I would wait to watch it until after reading the series, tho, bc I think it can be a confusing watch without book knowledge
@@josie8997 Yeah I tried watching the donghua first and was really confused until I started the novels. I enjoyed both and this may be an unpopular opinion but I prefer the donghua a little more, although I wish they didn’t cut so much content out.
@@eva5370 I love the donghua, but it can never surpass the novels for me by of censorship. To each their own, though and i'm glad you enjoyed it! I actually just started a rewatch today since I'm home sick. I think it's possible to enjoy the donghua without reading the books first, but you'll at the very least miss a lot of important context
"Who doesn't love a little suspense" directly followed by the tower of packages toppling over is comedy gold! 😆 "So these are all the books that you guys *know* that I bought" checked the time & saw I was halfway through the video 😅treat yourself! That edition of The Divine Comedy sounds promising, and it's so pretty, too! If you're interested in more epic poetry (that is not as long as this) I highly recommend Paradise Lost by John Milton. The language flows beautifully and the content is much more accessible than the Divine Comedy imo. Satan makes for such a fascinating character, and there is a passage where the angel Raphael explains to Adam how angels can get intimate with each other, which is an experience to read lol. It's one of my favourite books. I hope you're going to love all of these new books! ❤
Paradise Lost has also recently been on my radar thank you for reminding me!! The way you describe it has me even more intrigued and excited to try it out for myself 🥹💗
Bella would you ever do a video where you explain the processes of figuring out what classic edition to get? I've always wanted to read more classics but find it really intimidating to pick editions because I don't know which one would be "easiest" to read.
Finally LES MISERABLES!!!!!!! Les miserables and Divine comedy where the 1st books I ever read, so I don't understand how people can say is difficult to read those, like nah they were amazing to me lol.
Hi Bella!! Girl I just want to say THANK YOU for MDZS! I can't believe you haven't finished all the books coz I could not for the life of me stop myself. I got the rec from your mid year video and read all 5 volumes in August, started the donghua and rn im watching the cdrama. I cannot move on from mdzs, I don't know how you're still reading anything else. AnywayI LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! 😭❤️
omg i'm currently reading les misérables!!! i'm brazilian so i'm reading the martin claret edition. this book is already special to me but i confess that i've been reading it since february hahah but i challenged myself to finish it this month ✨
little tip from someone that is currently getting their degree in Latin and Greek Lit : i think doing a little bit of research on the time period and political climate Seneca lived and wrote in would really better your experience with the book overall! usually publications like that do a brief introduction, but you can find youtube videos or short articles that give you a more rounded view of the eviroment that shaped his worldview
@@ohLookItsTide that’s actually such a great tip thank you so much!! I did that for war and peace and I agree it adds a whole new dimension to the reading experience!
I love Letters to Milena its SUCH A GOOD READ Im german, but read in in english bc that was the only edition available at that time for me and i ate it up i love kafka so much, my favorite book by him was "die verwandlung" so far idk the english title but its the one with georg and the bug
In Italy we study the Divine Comedy in high school, Paradise is really hard to understand but the other two parts are way easier imo! Also really interesting and cool to read, Dante was a true hopeless romantic lol
honestly, i totally agree with you there on finding the best translation for classics books. this happened to me with 'the illiad', which i did not enjoy for this very exact reason. back then, i also bought 'the odyssey' but it's going to take a while for me to pick it up and see how i feel about it (since it's from the same publisher too...). anyways! i'm definitely taking this into consideration when thinking about reading 'the divine comedy' myself! on a side note, 'les miserables' is HUMONGOUS omg. since you are so intimidated by it, i have a tip for you that works for me too: take breaks while reading it. for example, if the book is divided into three parts, read the first one, then spend like one week without reading that book, and then pick it up again. i did this with don quijote, which i started it on august 19th and now i have around 300 pages left. since i'm taking my time reading it (and taking breaks from it), i can properly enjoy the book and avoid myself all the potential stress, burnout and pressure that comes from reading the same long book for many weeks. i didn't do this with 'war and peace' and that's why i ended up dnf'ing it in the end... i hope to pick it up again someday on a much healthier and better mindset! all of this to say, thank you for this amazing video!!! i'm super excited for that possible 24h danmei readathon (i will be for sure buying the reccs that you and the wonderful people here gave me ^^) and for also reading the 'all for the game' series!!! i've heard great opinions and reviews about it, so yeah! thank you again for your hard work, you truly inspire me to pick up more books and read more!!! i hope you have a good day
i've never read anything by homer because i'm a scaredy cat, you are so much braver than i am 😩✊that's such a great tip about dividing it into parts and taking breaks in between!! it'll definitely make it feel less intimidating 🥹 it's soo important especially with big classics to have the right mindset otherwise you'll stress and burn out!! also i'm SO EXCITED for you to read the all for the game series, i PROMISE you're going to love it (but please look up trigger warnings just in case!!) and don't apologize for the long comment, i loved reading it 🥹💗🫂
As reading challenges go, since you mentioned wanting to do one for Danmei, maybe one or two for a specific genre of books? Like horror/thriller only for a bit in October, or maybe somethin crazy like tryin to finish a classic in under a specific amount of time (not ones as long as Les Mis don’t do that do yourself-). Just something I thought about since yah mentioned it in the video😄
Bella, I’m currently reading Les Mis and HONESTLY? It doesn’t read like a classic. It’s not too wordy or hard to read at all! It’s all about the story and the characters! If you live a good plot and character driven stories, where you get to deeply know your characters, their past, etc. this book is defini for you and super easy to read!
Girrrrrl I knew IT !!!!! Les Misérables !!!! 1300 pages is WILD but if I can reassure you, you can thank the efficiancy of the english language because in the French version it is 1632 pages. One thousand. Six hundred. Thirty two. Pages. Cant wait for the vlog !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg les miserables!!!!. Love it. I really need motivation to continue once more. I was really enjoying it but had to take a break after 60 pages of rambling as only victor hugo can do about things and never picked it back up. Im on page 333 and only a dent made in book lol. I am annotating aswell so takes longer. Hopefully in the new year. Im waiting to read lovelight farms in winter. I plan on reading them seasonally. The devine comedy truly scares me i dont think im clever enough for that one. I got the sunshine court my boys are my everything i love the series so much and screamed when i found out from you that she had a fourth book and possibly 5th. X
i'll try my best to be your motivation 😩✊ waiting to read the lovelight farms books seasonally is a great idea, it'll definitely elevate the reading experience 🥹💖 and hey! before i started war and peace or the count of monte cristo i also thought i wasn't smart enough for them but i didn't give up and tried my best and i think i did alright 😌 if i can do it so can you 🫂
@@throneofpages ive the read the conte of monti christo and loved it. 5* great experience. On and just checked seems i am around a 3rd of the way in pg 383 of les mis. I chose translation from christine donougher.
If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind balancing a couple books at a time, I think a fun way to get through les mis and the divine comedy would be to reward yourself with a chapter of the lighter books every time you get, say, 200 pages done on the more intimidating ones! And feels like it could make for a chaotic fun video.
Omgoodness! You got Les Mis! I’m reading that right now and it’s so good! It is a scary size but so good I’m loving so far and I’m only on page 208/1200 (of my copy) it is taking me a long time to read but when I’m reading it I’m in the story and don’t notice how much time is passing until my back hurts from being in a bad position to long 😂 anyway can’t wait to see you read it! Who knows I might still be reading it when you start! 🤣 so excited, can’t wait, best of luck! 😊
I’m currently reading Remnants of Filth and I can’t stop. I really need to look into more danmei because this is the one that sold me. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of the series ❤
It was interesting to hear why you chose your version of the Divine Comedy and Yes to the danmei readaton. I look forward to find out what your thoughts/reactions are on the books :)
I love the "Horchataaa" and then you almost spitting it out as soon as the door closes haha (I hate horchata) Also, Les Misérables in French is like more than 1900 pages, but don't worry I'm sure you'll love it! Enjoy reading all of these!!
I’m sending you love❤ I love your honest and funny personality (; I hope you are doing well and that you are having a great reading month and just a great month in general (;
The way you just made my morning!!! 💛 I love your energy and I love your taste in books, I just love watching how you go from Grandmaster to The Divine Comedy like yes absolutely!! that's how I like to read too (a bunch of genres) and it's quite rare to see on this platform! You're so brave for deciding to read les misérables 😂 Also. DANMEI COMMUNITY YES PLS (currently reading Thousand Autumns 🍂🧡) Thank you Bella always
Les mis! I finally read it this year and thought about you! I'd love to see you reading it. BUT please don't rush it! Also can't wait to hear your thoughts on The divine comedy, I haven't read it yet and I'm scared lol
Have you heard of a book called House of Leaves? A lot of people say it's a very good book but also a bit challenging because it's different from any book you will ever read. But it's very expensive in Brazil, so if one day you buy and read it, please make a vlog so that I can decide whether to buy it or not. 😂 I love your vlogs, they motivate me to read more often. ❤❤❤
i was really hoping to see the divine comedy and les mis (that are my two current reads). i’ve read the divine comedy before and i’m currently studying it at uni, and trust me when i say it is scarier in thought than in reality. i hope you love and enjoy it as much as i do 🫶🏻 also hope you love les mis as much as i am, the size is terrifying but it compensates by having a wonderful story and writing btw as some who works with translations of the divine comedy, i really appreciated how you made a light research on them :)
I have a great classic recommendation for you. Perfume, the story of a murderer by Patrick Suskind. It's about a guy living in Paris in the 1700s. Who has an unnaturally good sense of smell and is obsessed with scent. He becomes obsessed with the smell of young women and then goes out killing them to absorb their scent. It's super messed up which is why I love it so much. HIGHLY recommend!
Not the slowlyyy creaking door, then "Horchataaa!" 😂

Satan makes for such a fascinating character, and there is a passage where the angel Raphael explains to Adam how angels can get intimate with each other, which is an experience to read lol. It's one of my favourite books.
I hope you're going to love all of these new books! ❤
Paradise Lost has also recently been on my radar thank you for reminding me!! The way you describe it has me even more intrigued and excited to try it out for myself 🥹💗
omg les miserable :D let us know when you start reading it, it's been on my tbr forever
now i want to read the lovelight series because of u 😩
DO IT
Bella would you ever do a video where you explain the processes of figuring out what classic edition to get? I've always wanted to read more classics but find it really intimidating to pick editions because I don't know which one would be "easiest" to read.
Finally LES MISERABLES!!!!!!!
Les miserables and Divine comedy where the 1st books I ever read, so I don't understand how people can say is difficult to read those, like nah they were amazing to me lol.
It would be amazing if u do a vlog reading some of this new books!!! 😊😊😊
STOOP you are so welcome for the recommendation, i'm so excited to continue the series and get my heart completely and utterly shattered!!!
THE SHAKING WHEN YOU ASKED US TO HOLD UR HAND.
omg i'm currently reading les misérables!!! i'm brazilian so i'm reading the martin claret edition.
this book is already special to me but i confess that i've been reading it since february hahah but i challenged myself to finish it this month ✨
little tip from someone that is currently getting their degree in Latin and Greek Lit : i think doing a little bit of research on the time period and political climate Seneca lived and wrote in would really better your experience with the book overall! usually publications like that do a brief introduction, but you can find youtube videos or short articles that give you a more rounded view of the eviroment that shaped his worldview
@@ohLookItsTide that’s actually such a great tip thank you so much!! I did that for war and peace and I agree it adds a whole new dimension to the reading experience!
The first few mins made me laugh so hard 😂 you're literally so funny. Love all the books ❤
I try my best 😌
I love Letters to Milena its SUCH A GOOD READ Im german, but read in in english bc that was the only edition available at that time for me and i ate it up i love kafka so much, my favorite book by him was "die verwandlung" so far idk the english title but its the one with georg and the bug
In Italy we study the Divine Comedy in high school, Paradise is really hard to understand but the other two parts are way easier imo! Also really interesting and cool to read, Dante was a true hopeless romantic lol
✍️ Paradise ✍️ is ✍️ the ✍️ hardest ✍️ part ✍️ thank you for letting me know!! a hopeless romantic you say? 👀👀
Hey I totally agree with the right edition of classics. Can u do a video on that I m finding it a bit hard , love ur channel ❤❤
honestly, i totally agree with you there on finding the best translation for classics books. this happened to me with 'the illiad', which i did not enjoy for this very exact reason. back then, i also bought 'the odyssey' but it's going to take a while for me to pick it up and see how i feel about it (since it's from the same publisher too...). anyways! i'm definitely taking this into consideration when thinking about reading 'the divine comedy' myself! on a side note, 'les miserables' is HUMONGOUS omg. since you are so intimidated by it, i have a tip for you that works for me too: take breaks while reading it. for example, if the book is divided into three parts, read the first one, then spend like one week without reading that book, and then pick it up again. i did this with don quijote, which i started it on august 19th and now i have around 300 pages left. since i'm taking my time reading it (and taking breaks from it), i can properly enjoy the book and avoid myself all the potential stress, burnout and pressure that comes from reading the same long book for many weeks. i didn't do this with 'war and peace' and that's why i ended up dnf'ing it in the end... i hope to pick it up again someday on a much healthier and better mindset!
all of this to say, thank you for this amazing video!!! i'm super excited for that possible 24h danmei readathon (i will be for sure buying the reccs that you and the wonderful people here gave me ^^) and for also reading the 'all for the game' series!!! i've heard great opinions and reviews about it, so yeah! thank you again for your hard work, you truly inspire me to pick up more books and read more!!! i hope you have a good day
i've never read anything by homer because i'm a scaredy cat, you are so much braver than i am 😩✊that's such a great tip about dividing it into parts and taking breaks in between!! it'll definitely make it feel less intimidating 🥹 it's soo important especially with big classics to have the right mindset otherwise you'll stress and burn out!!
also i'm SO EXCITED for you to read the all for the game series, i PROMISE you're going to love it (but please look up trigger warnings just in case!!) and don't apologize for the long comment, i loved reading it 🥹💗🫂
@@throneofpages thank you, you're so sweet
As reading challenges go, since you mentioned wanting to do one for Danmei, maybe one or two for a specific genre of books?
Like horror/thriller only for a bit in October, or maybe somethin crazy like tryin to finish a classic in under a specific amount of time (not ones as long as Les Mis don’t do that do yourself-). Just something I thought about since yah mentioned it in the video😄
Those are great ideas, thank you!! 🥹💞
11:32 👀a couple of suggestions: "Silent Reading", "Kaleidoscope of Death" 🤭
Oh? 👀✍️
We stan the alma classics editions 😍
Bella, I’m currently reading Les Mis and HONESTLY? It doesn’t read like a classic. It’s not too wordy or hard to read at all! It’s all about the story and the characters! If you live a good plot and character driven stories, where you get to deeply know your characters, their past, etc. this book is defini for you and super easy to read!
STOP I LOVE THAT!! thank you so much for letting me know, i'm so excited to start it now 😭💗
I would love to see Les Mis reading vlog! I loved seeing the Count of Monte Cristo vlog and it’s one of my favorite videos!
Trust me I’m planning for it!! It’s one of my favorite videos as well 🥹💖
Girrrrrl I knew IT !!!!! Les Misérables !!!! 1300 pages is WILD but if I can reassure you, you can thank the efficiancy of the english language because in the French version it is 1632 pages.
One thousand. Six hundred. Thirty two. Pages.
Cant wait for the vlog !!!!!!!!!!!!!
not the 300 page difference 💀💀💀 i sure hope nothing important was left out 🤡
The Divine Comedy makes me so proud to be Italian ❤💫
@@alicenegri543 you should be!!
MOTHER HAS POSTED, REJOICE!!
Les misérables is one of my favourite books of all times! It’s actually easy to read
i'm so excited to get to it!!
If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind balancing a couple books at a time, I think a fun way to get through les mis and the divine comedy would be to reward yourself with a chapter of the lighter books every time you get, say, 200 pages done on the more intimidating ones! And feels like it could make for a chaotic fun video.
that's actually such a great idea 😩😈
Ahh I’m even more excited to start Les Mis after reading how immersive it is 🥹 and you know what they say, slow and steady wins the race! 💞
Someone who studied latin, Seneca was one of the hardest to trsnslate in my language but yet inspiring to read it
I’m currently reading Remnants of Filth and I can’t stop. I really need to look into more danmei because this is the one that sold me. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of the series ❤
i hope i love the rest of the Remnants of Filth series 😩✊ ngl i have high expectations 😳
It was interesting to hear why you chose your version of the Divine Comedy and Yes to the danmei readaton. I look forward to find out what your thoughts/reactions are on the books :)
Truly my favourite place on the internet ❤
I love the "Horchataaa" and then you almost spitting it out as soon as the door closes haha (I hate horchata)
Also, Les Misérables in French is like more than 1900 pages, but don't worry I'm sure you'll love it! Enjoy reading all of these!!
my dad looked so proud giving it to me i couldn't let him know the truth 😭😔 thank you!! 😩✊
Please do a danmei reading vlog! I’ve been interested in getting into them for the longest time! I think it will be so fun!
i agree 😈💖
Always love the energy you bring to your videos 🤗💕
Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation sounds so good I had to add them to my wishlist 😊
i hope we both love them!! 🤞
If you didn't read any of Homer, I recommend reading The Odissey and The Iliad translated by Emily Wilson!!! Such amazing covers and all TwT
I haven't read Homer yet but I'm definitely planning to after Les Mis! 🥹💖
If you do 24h danmei readathon my life will be worth living again🐬🌈
I'm really excited to watch a series of danmei readathons and see your reactions and opinions
I’m sending you love❤ I love your honest and funny personality (; I hope you are doing well and that you are having a great reading month and just a great month in general (;
you too 🫂💖
this must be the best feeling after not buying a book for such a long time
@@meganmicha_ literally the BEST 😩🤌
It is a truth universally acknowledged that the Devine Comedy is basically Bible fan fiction 😂
NOT A BIBLE FANFIC LMAOO
Please make a video on The Divine Comedy, maybe 3 videos? One for each part
that's a great idea 😈😈😈
That would be so cool
The way im literally halfway through reading Dante's Inferno rn !! 😮
if anyone can read a long ass classic, it is 1000% you STAY STRONG
I NEEDED THIS THANK YOU 😩😭🫂
The way you just made my morning!!! 💛 I love your energy and I love your taste in books, I just love watching how you go from Grandmaster to The Divine Comedy like yes absolutely!! that's how I like to read too (a bunch of genres) and it's quite rare to see on this platform!
You're so brave for deciding to read les misérables 😂
Also. DANMEI COMMUNITY YES PLS (currently reading Thousand Autumns 🍂🧡)
Thank you Bella always
this comment made me so happy 🥹💖🫶 i don't know if i'm brave or insane but i'm definitely something 😭🤡 YES YES YES TO THOUSAND AUTUMNS!!! 😩✊

Nora announced that The Sunshine Court will be a trilogy, book 2 comes out Dec and boo 3 next year!!! in case you didn't know :)
YOU JUST MADE MY ENTIRE YEAAAAR 😭💗😩✊
Enjoy your well deserved new books :) I'm enjoying Seneca's letters, but Marcus Aurelius' Meditations was better. Still worth it though!
@@Joyce-d9v thank you 🥹 I was also intrigued by Meditations so I may end up getting it too who knows 👀
My goal this year was to red Les Miserables but so far I am failing! Defo the most intimidating book on my TBR!
if you don't get to it this year there's always next year!! we got this 🫂
the stack falling😭 and I will once again say absolutely to a 24 hour danmei readathon
your wish is my command 🫡
UGH YESSS BEEN WAITING ON THIS ONE ‼️
Les mis! I finally read it this year and thought about you! I'd love to see you reading it. BUT please don't rush it! Also can't wait to hear your thoughts on The divine comedy, I haven't read it yet and I'm scared lol
Did you like Les Mis? 👀💞
@@throneofpages I loved it! It was challenging at times, but absolutely worth it! It packs a punch!!

thank you thank you thank you!! ✍️✍️
What an amazing book haul 😍😍😍😍
GIRLLLLL U SHOULD DO A DANMEI READATHON I WOULD BE SO FUNNN
OKAY BET
Have you heard of a book called House of Leaves? A lot of people say it's a very good book but also a bit challenging because it's different from any book you will ever read. But it's very expensive in Brazil, so if one day you buy and read it, please make a vlog so that I can decide whether to buy it or not. 😂 I love your vlogs, they motivate me to read more often. ❤❤❤
I’ve heard of it before!! I’ve seen other people trying to read it and honestly I don’t want to put myself through that I’m so sorry 😭😭
@@throneofpages That's fine! I think I just need to find the courage to read it! 🤣🤣🤣
i was really hoping to see the divine comedy and les mis (that are my two current reads).
i’ve read the divine comedy before and i’m currently studying it at uni, and trust me when i say it is scarier in thought than in reality. i hope you love and enjoy it as much as i do 🫶🏻 also hope you love les mis as much as i am, the size is terrifying but it compensates by having a wonderful story and writing
btw as some who works with translations of the divine comedy, i really appreciated how you made a light research on them :)
I wish I could study the divine comedy with you that sounds so fun 👉👈 but thank you for the comforting words they really help 🥹💖
I actually read Perfume last year and LOVED it so good to know I can trust you for good recommendations 😈
@@throneofpages yesssss
DANMEI READATHON!!
The reason Heartstopper vol. 5 is different is because that's the US edition while you have the first four volumes in the UK edition. :)
