This is the very first book unhaul video I see where the person unhauls books they've actually read. It is so crazy the videos I have seen of people getting rid of dozens of books they've never read. This is so much more interesting to watch as you have something to say about each book
Decluttering/unhauling videos are so satisfying ❤ They make me want to perform the same on my bookshelves. Thanks for the video, it's always a pleasure to watch them ❤
and i sit here with just two books.....had to leave all books behind me when i moved to india.... hoping to buy soon the first book here.... love your videos, thank you!
Thank you for this video, these always inspire me to be productive as well! I also have a really hard time getting rid of anything tied with memories and nostalgia. A few things that help me are 1) saying good bye to and thanking the item, 2) taking a picture of the item so I can add it to a scrapbook or journal so I can remember the item without physically keeping it, and 3) thinking of how much someone else will enjoy it.
This type of video is really satisfying, it's like allowing yourself to getting to know new authors, books and universes while giving away books that could make other person happier
Yess. My fav. As a person who has come to love reading in my ipad, I only keep books that I truly love and cannot live without haha. It’s been so much more loving to see my shelves because they are books I truly care about
I don’t remember the direct quote but the wanting your bookshelves to reflect you perfectly is such a mood. That is how I feel about my books also. It feels great doing it that way. Loved this video and always sending you soooo much love.
I don't know if this is the quote but i recently read this one and it got me thinking: "If you walk into my house knowing nothing about me--my books will tell you who I am." 💖
Truly enjoyed this video. Detailed info about the books and why you’re getting rid of them. Loved the detailed-ness of it. Rather than a 10 minute “bye book” without context and care to detail. I know this is a looong process, so thanks a million. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦

The “King Of Scars” moment absolutely floored me. The book literally fainted the moment you said you were getting rid of it. You killed him. How dare you 😂 That said, consider me subscribed. And thank you for introducing me to more cat-themed Japanese literature as well as more anime and manga as a fellow cat mom and cat lover and lifelong anime/manga fan, even at 41-years-old. I will also be checking out Emily Henry and Percy Jackson books, having never read them before. This was a fun one!
welcome to my channel!! 🥹💖 I hope you enjoy Emily Henry and Percy Jackson! I feel like they're great authors if you're a fan of romance (for Henry) and adventure/greek mythology (Rick Riordan)
@@throneofpages Indeed I am! I love all kinds of Romance, Action/Adventure, Fantasy, Mystery, and so on. But I'm not a fan of smut and/or lots of swearing, especially when it comes to the intense, explicit variety. And I don't do gore, when it comes to horror. Or same-sex pairings/couples. I don't like Colleen Hoover's books either, with her glorifying and romanticizing of verbal and domestic abuse and other problematic themes. I've had a traumatic past with such abuse, and I've seen enough reviews to let me know just how problematic she is and to stay far away. And I wish others would wake up and get the memo. Especially when it comes to the younger generation. Never read or bought her books, and I never will. But I might give Emily Henry a go. Any thoughts on which of her books I should start with first? I also love "Easy" by Tammara Webber, as well as its sequel, "Breakable". I recommend reading "Easy" first, so you get a feel for who each of the characters are. "Breakable" is the second book in the series, and is a sequel told as a prequel from the male character point-of-view, as we learn about his backstory before he met the female love interest he rescues. Lucas and Jacqueline are my YA OTP, and Lucas is HOT as well! I also recommend the "The Halflings" book series by Heather Burch. I never hear of Tammara or Heather's books being recommended or talked about and they're both such a good series! I couldn't put them down! And I have a feeling I'll love Percy Jackson, especially since it's one of my favorite fantasy genres. When it comes to mystery, I love The Boxcar Children, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys book series. As well as Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and countless others. All classics when I was growing up. Hope you'll check out my recommended mentions here at some point, too!
Hey bella! yesterday I watched all of your classic literature videos and it bothers me that u didn't do that kinda videos in longggg time. we really need good classic lit recs or a big classic reading vlog maybe les miserables, atlas shrugged etc. your big book vlogs are my favourite, lots of love and light.
Nice unhaul. Being ruthless is a good thing. You open your life to new books to love. As you get older, this change of content of your shelves will happen again and again unless you just get more bookshelves and let the books accumulate. And it will get easier as you grow and change if you want your shelves to reflect the current self. I adore your manga shelves, btw.
Love videos like this where we see you go through the shelves and unhaul in real time! 😍Soooo satisfying compared to when you start a video and they’ve already pulled them all out and you don’t get to see the shelves or the process!
