A lovely video there. The Manor Class sounded great via the microphone you're using.

Hi Matt nice review,I was always suspicious about the magnetic roof for decoder access, about whether it would loose its shape....and mine has slightly and does not sit flat, contacted Accurascale about and they said make one of the magnets had not dropped out, which is what had happened,I found it replaced it but unfortunately still does not sit flat,so a bit of black tack required ...long winded I know a problem none the less.

Thanks Matt. I have five of their models. My 37s have poor lights. I have three of them. They are really hard to see unless I turn layout lights off. The lights are much better on the 66.

    Hi Matt
I only have a Class 37 and I too find the lights a little dim particularly on the headcodes but other than that an excellent model.

Hi Matt, Very interesting to see how your Accurascale locos have matured, I agree with your thoughts, as I too have a Deltic and 37.............I was thinking about your comment about lack of Bass on your Manor, didn't they build two speakers into the model? If they did, could you perhaps have one not working, just a thought.................Great video though, thanks fir a great video, all the best Dave.

I very much enjoyed this video: please consider doing more "long-term report" type films. They are as important as "new out of the box" reviews.

I did a dapol vs accurascale manor video. The accurascale manor looks amazing but the dapol one preforms and sounds loads better.
I have a Class 50 on order so hopefully they'll be good.

I agree, the Dapol’s running qualities are better than Accurascale, especially for starting/stopping and crawling (on DC).

Three marvelous Locomotives there tho the Manor keeps stopping every so often it should definitely do a loaded test run 1st. In real life the class 37 is more lighter than the class 55 as the class 37 with its train doesn't hang around as the class 55 on the other hand might be a bit sluggish but when moving at a pace it shouldn't really struggle with any obstacles the only one slight problem is it's horn which makes the class 37 horn sound nice crip and clear.

A Great Western Manor Class is a work of art. The 55 is nearly as good. The 37 looks very similar to the 55, or Deltic, but has a slightly smaller engine.

I can't wait to see the GWR 57XXs from Accurascale.

Never underestimate the hard-won efforts of Accurascale. They are good at what they do. I don't have any model of Accurascale status, but I should know a wonderfully performing Manor engine when I see one. Sam's Trains has the exact same Manor model as you from Accurascale, only she's not fitted with sound like yours is. Erlestoke Manor from Accurascale, fitted with sound, is enough to quickly grab my attention and keep my gaze fixed on her all day. She makes a much nicer sound than those two stinky diesel models of yours, and that's a fact. The Manor is my favourite Great Western tender engine overall, and if I could cater for sound, I'd give her a run as often as she wanted to. I heard her perfectly well loud and clear, with a whistle that's music to my ears. Please don't put Accurascale down, they know what they're doing and the sound-fitted Manor engine is the best model they've ever made to date.

Not sure Matt was "putting Accurascale down". He was just sharing his personal real-life experiences with the locos, which overall were overwhelming positive. I have several Accurascale locos, and am looking forward to receiving a few more shortly. Matt's thoughts have reinforced my view that Accurascale is a superb - but not perfect - manufacturer.

Enjoyed that Matt, thanks for putting it together! ❤
Check your coaches for draggy bogies, that plus any incline will have the same effect as pulling more coaches. 😊

Three different favourites of mine. I absolutely adore the Great Western, but also favour the two classic diesels.

I've gone a bit crazy: I'm the proud owner of a blue example, plus the HNRC orange one, with a Dutch-livered loco due any day now. But I had a good excuse - all 3 spent quite a fair but of their working lives at Cardiff Canton, and I'm an ex-Pat Welshman, now living in East Anglia, where of course, 37s also were once a common sight.

An overall interesting video here Matt, when it comes to locomotives I currently have 3 locomotives, 2 55 deltics and 1 class 92, overall for me they have been good at times and bad at times, my 1st 55 deltic which was 9021 Argyll and Sutherland Highlander did suffer the bogie chains coming off so in the end I glued the attachments to the body and now when I need to remove the bodyshell I remove the attachment to the bogie which is much better plus they don’t fall off now, performance for this one has been ok for me, it’s still dc at the moment but may convert it to sound, my second loco was the class 92, this for me has been a good loco, one minor issue I had with it though was the Railfreight distribution lettering starting to come off but it seems to be a common thing that happens with that livery, the most recent loco I have from them is a second class 55, this one is 55001 St Paddy and currently this is the only loco from accurascale that I have fitted a sound decoder to, overall it’s been a good loco, again liked my 9021 I have glued the chain attachments to the body and when needed I remove the attachments from the bogie to get the body off but as I say it’s been a good one for me, I enjoy the sound on it as well, when it comes to the manor and 37 I don’t have those, I instead have a bachmann new tool 37 sound fitted so I’m not really in need of another 37 yet, I might look at some of accurascale later batches but right now it’s bachmanns one for me, the manor I don’t have either but I have thought about adding one as I don’t have many GWR locomotives in my collection, overall they are a good manufacturer, some things still need ironing out but the do make some good stuff, I have quite a bit of their rolling stock in my collection and overall that is very good.

“It does run every time I put it on the track”
Does that mean you have models that don’t run every time? That seems a tad concerning

What are you trying to pull and up where with your manor? I managed to have mine pull some pretty heavy ones up some very steep curved inclines so I’m not sure what’s going on there
