Damn, it's crazy how fast he broke a sweat and got winded after lifting just one or two... And this dude's already in shape. This must be a really hard work out.

It's capacity. Lifting stones to that high of a platform is definitely at his limit. Pretty sure he could rep those stones like crazy if the platform was a meter shorter

To clear up the weights, 120 kg is 264 lb, 140/308, 150/330 and 160/352. Total of 570 kg, or 1,254 lb. He's 184 cm, or 6'1" if that gives you an idea how high those pedestals are.

Awesome video, great help for taller lifters!
Did anyone catch the tranistion to another exercise after the deads? It looks like it may be an instructional series. Where did this clip come from?
150 USD to anyone who wants to sell me the complete video... or whatever this came from, Please send me a message if you have it or know where I can get it.

@ncpowerlifter good call bashing his technique, because obviously it isn't working for the two time WSM winner.
People drive me up the wall with wanting to bash technique. thats why i dont post any more vids on youtube. If it counts on the platform or in a competition, and if you are competetive, technique is fine by me.

Chip Manuel his technique definitely isn't textbook by any means. the way he wraps his arms around the equator instead of over the top at 10 & 2. it isn't necessarily proper technique. nobody said he wasn't a fucking animal and a beast of a stone loader. quit being a sensitive bitch

I lifted my 1st 90kg stone on saturday! I only got it on to my lap and it drained me of all my energy! I had a huge fried breakfast before hand too!

Saying his technique is not the best is not a bash, simply noting a fact. he's not getting deep enough for allow him to put stone high enough on his chest..which he needs being a shorter competitor. He is working harder than he should be because he is a beast! I said I loved him as a strongman...geez

This guy is use to lifting these things and in awesome shape and he still breathing heavy. When I got started with with them I found I was getting light headed and wanting to puke. I agree those boxes are mad high. I hope he can move backward real damn quick!
