I was so fucking disappointed in that moment. I really wanted to see how he would react with those tentacles. Too bad we will never see that happen. ☹️
@@Sassywizard yeah i saw another comment somewhere that the reason he never got to the blob tentacles was because he never correctly ended the roxy phase 😭 but i dont blame him cuz the game literally never gives a hint about how to get rid of roxy
@@kelliwest7257 It looked like it was still bugged though even despite that, idk if he could've ended it. I think the game ended because it correctly counted time after he fixed the glitch in Roxy's Raceway which let him end the segment but I'm not entirely sure.
@@Aisubun If I understood correctly while watching some let's plays, the Afton Boss Battle ends after you press the button to put fire in him a certain amount of times. As Mark didn't get rid of Roxy, the "Boss Battle" didn't properly continue because of that, and the tentacles never came because Roxy was still there, so he must have pressed the button the right amount of times while he was avoiding Roxy or something.
Mark really got the short end of the stick when it comes to the game
Dawko had pretty much no glitches, 8-BitRyan started getting them towards the end sections, but people like Mark and Phisnom had to suffer through an absolute wretch.

He enjoyed the game but you can't blame him for not having fun at times like that. One thing is to look past some of the bugs and other is being at a loss on how to progress because the game is broken. He even won because of a bug too.
Markiplier using two different exploits to get around a bug that prevented him from progressing is the most Security Breach moment in his entire playthrough.

Making a lot of progress and having it all wiped away because of the bugs in this game can be incredibly annoying, and I just don't like seeing him like that.
I love how Mark was making excuses for the game for the first few parts, blaming himself for getting lost or for the game being impossible to play, but by the end he was just so sick of it that he just decided to make it obvious how frustrated the game made him.
Honestly, not knowing which way to go during his first run through the kitchen? Forgivable on both Mark's account and SteelWool's account.

@@Danganraptor Honestly, looking at how beautiful and detailed the environments are, I can't say in good faith that this game was a cashgrab. I genuinely think this is a prime example of wanting to make this game as rich and detailed as possible, but ending up biting off more than they could chew.

As a side note, Mark was supposed to get rid of Roxy by using the voicebox upgrade in Freddy. The tentacles never spawned because he was stuck with Roxy, so Mark basically got the ending in the clunkiest way possible.
I'll blame the game for that, because It wouldn't be the first thing I can think of. Freddy says "hide" so the logical thing to do is hiding. Just like Mark is trying to do in his playthrough.
Also, the voicebox upgrade is kinda lame. It doesn't bring any advantage besides opening gates for secrets, unlike The Eyes upgrade that allows you to see through collectables. Sure it can be used for stunts animatronics, but it doesn't do much. Not as efficient as Fazer beam, unless you're dealing with Monty.
Freddy said “Hide!” with two power stations and always being able to hide in Freddy. How is anyone supposed to know to do that other than matching buttons to get something to happen.
Tentacles?!?????
@@eow4317 yeah it's basically just Ennard but more
The thing is though, I never knew there was a button you could press for that. I don’t think mark did either. The only times he used it was for doors which opened automatically. Does the game even say you can use it whenever?
5:33 The game crashing seemed to hurt Mark the most out of everything that has happened to him.
The sad thing is that I knew it was gonna crash on him sooner or later. Security Breach is so unstable and buggy that crashes were bound to occur eventually.
I can't blame him, the game was literally unable to handle a 2D flappy Bird clone with arcade graphics
Glitchtrap hates him xD

a year later and it still holds true, my sister broke freddy in our game by shooting him with the blaster too many times right after we got it. so he got pouty and wouldn't come when called until we gave him chica's voicebox lmao
some of sb's glitches were great though, i'm sad they patched the party pass bots just blinking out of existence after dancing lol

And that is how you win the game, in the wrong way!
Do you guys have no concept of what a shill is?
Because Markiplier is an ULTRA SHILL for any FNAF game. His entire career built and rest on FNAF games.
Using chicas voice box for Roxy would've made sense if:
The game hadn't established that Roxy can't see you if you don't make a sound. Simply not moving was enough for her to not find you, until that point.
The game hadn't literally just told you to "Hide!", which, again, was established as the only thing to be safe from Roxy.
The game basically had no use for chica's voice box until that point, except for opening doors. You had the cam and blaster to stun enemies and had no need to stun Roxy up until that point, because she was blind anyways. Also, you literally never had the need to stun the other animatronics while you were inside Freddy because they don't attack Freddy in the first place!
So, basically, you learned you gotta hide from Roxy, Freddy tells you that you gotta hide from Roxy so, obviously, you **shouldn't** hide from Roxy, but use the voice box that was basically useless the whole game.
Obviously.
Okay so,
1: Roxy, even after having her eyes removed, will still move towards Gregory even if he's perfectly still and crouching, you're supposed to figure that out in the chase sequence with her after you take her eyes where there are hiding spots but she still moves towards you when you're in them.
2: the game explicitly tells you that using the voice box will deter the animatronics, that's the one thing they tell you about the damn thing and there's even a collectable in the center of the atrium that you get after 6 be AM, but due to where it is, you need to use the voice box to deter Roxy so you can get it
3: the game isn't going to just tell you "hey use the voice box on roxy" it tells you exactly what you need to know. You hide somewhere see that isn't working, most people will try to hide in Freddy at that point, once they realize that isn't making her go away either, they're supposed to think about the TWO DIFFERENT BUTTONS YOU CAN PUSH IN FREDDY, one of which is "exit" and that isn't getting you anywhere, so the logical course of action would be to press the animatronic deterent button, to deter her. The game isn't gonna spell it out for you and there's gonna have to be some trial and error involved
@@alexhiser4073 1. If you climb in a hiding spot, she'll move towards you and then lose interest. (Basically just to artificially create tension) If you're standing out in the open without moving, she ignores you completely. You can simply run past her in the atrium without much problem.
2. That's great. Yet, you don't have any reason to use it on an animatronic once. And, except that first voice line, there's nothing that suggests that chica's voice box is any more than Monty's claws: A key to get through some doors.
3. There could be hours of gameplay between getting the box (and therefore hours of not using it) and having to use it the first time. A simple "she can't see, but she can still hear you" or some variation of "There's nowhere to hide, but I still got chica's voicebox!" would've been better than telling you to "hide" (a thing that worked until then) and then not actually giving you any working hiding spots.
It's not a problem I'm making up. Neither me nor Mark are the only or the first people who had this problem. It's simply bad game design.
@@alexhiser4073 yet the game literally spelled out, closed the door for Chica, close the vent for Monty. ok
@@alexhiser4073 For number 2, you don't need the voice box to get the disc.
For number 3, barely anyone I know or have watched knew to use the voice box without help. You literally just don't have to use it the entire game except to open doors and that makes it easily forgettable.
And then there's the whole issue Mark had where Freddy would instantly get drained of his power, spit Gregory out, and leave Mark high and dry with no protection or deterrent
The amount of bugs and instabilities this game has, it's actually unacceptable to release this game. Props to Mark for not trashing his monitor
A lot of the bugs and glitches steel wool thought they had fixed- it's the same company that made fnaf vr help wanted, which also had bugs and glitches at the start, give it a patch or two and the game would as it was intended.
Seems it was also pushed for Christmas (which I don't blame them for), as posting a game or movie at the start of a year is a deaths sentence, not to mention all the "fnaf stans" would be going mental if it was delayed any longer.
I personally will be getting the game around March especially if they release a physical copy of the game.

I don't remember where he said it but I specifically remember Mark talking at some point about how he's worked really hard to not get as angry anymore (part of why he avoids rage games). So given that he had to work on it previously, his self-control in SB is even more impressive than it first seems.
Which is also part of why him giving in and using the bug to save after he specifically avoids doing it during one of the vids is so notable: because he's doing everything he can to not get angry, down to the point of going back on his decisions and bugging the game to work in his favour.
And even after ALL OF THAT he tried so hard to say everything good he could about the game. Mark is the fucking best.
As someone with anger issues I completely get where he's coming from. It feels corny to use the word 'inspirational' but I genuinely do feel inspired by his efforts to practise this amount of restraint of self-control.

Everyone's calling mark stupid for not using chicas voice box despite when Roxy comes in he gets kicked out of Freddy. Freddy jumps to low power as soon as Roxy would come in so he assumed Freddy meant hide in the charging booth like they did with moon man. He wouldn't be in Freddy long enough to even think that he was meant to use the voice box because the game would only let him enter Freddy for a few moments
Also how would he be supposed to know that's what you do? So many people who have already played the game and know all the ways to beat it act as if newbies are just stupid when there's no hints given about what to do.

The glitches, the fact that Vanny, Afton and the Blob are barely used in the games story despite being teased like hell, You won’t even probably understand the ending with Afton if you go into the tunnels while you’re inside Freddy, since you probably won’t even notice the blob not to mention that due to a glitch at the Afton boss fight that seems to skip everything after Roxy. Then there’s all the cut dialogue for Afton and Vanny that seems to suggest that the entire story was changed after the first actual trailer, it’s just kinda disappointing.
Gregory: If I leave now, people will keep disappearing, won't they?
Me: People are disappearing? When was this established?
@@noraarcadia635 I pretty sure the developers wanted to "subvert expectations" so that's why the games overall plot makes no sense. I'm fairly certain that if they went with their original storyline it would've made much more sense and there would've been no dull endings. The trailers were obviously one story that was probably planned but for some reason after dropping the trailers they decided to scrap everything. Not even scrap everything, because they still left bits of their previous storyline in the game that made no sense with the new story they were trying to do. Which is why some audio bits or clues and even endings don't make much sense because the parts of the game that was supposed to explain was cut out
iirc steel wool admitted to cutting Vanny due to a mechanic that they couldn't get to work. That's why some folks (Mark and Sean/JSE) saw Vanny outside of the set times still. They wanted a mechanic that was like a meter of sorts where if you were in one spot too long, Vanny would try to find you.
I feel so bad for Mark, it really feels like he's restraining himself from insulting the game but like _dude_
I really don't get why everyone is so desperate to defend this game like they can't see the problems with it. It's one thing for bugs, but game breaking glitches are not the kind of thing you hand wave away.
This game wasn’t made by Scott so I can insult it as much as a can.

@@dumbdogboy I never understand why people don’t just say what they feel about a game sure the people behind it put effort and care and that should be respected but it can’t automatically disallow criticism so I wish he had just spoken what he felt cause I’m sure the developers want to learn where they went wrong and not just hollow praise

I'm pretty sure the fazerblaster not affecting Monty was actually intentional. Game actually mentions they don't work because of his sunglasses, but the player would only know that if they got the fazcam instead
It is (Mark knew that too, he was probably just going off reflex) I'm pretty sure the glitch was what happened immediately afterwards with the jumpscare

I think it was apparent that the Faz Cam nor Fazer Blaster wouldn't work on Monty since he wears sunglasses. they don't outright say it (probably so the player can figure out to trial and error) but I think after trying it out on Monty once or twice, most people will realise that they don't work on him because he wears sunglasses, and later won't work on Roxy because she doesn't have eyes. but anyway, i don't think that that's what that specific clip was about

The Plan A mystery that triggers when you die from Moon drop when you go to the main stage due to Vannesa is still a mystery to me. Is it like an unfinished route removed from the game?
It's speculated to be a trap set up by Vanny, but it's still rather weird.
yes, yes it is.
Interesting, I figured people would have found out what that was at this point. Vanny explicitly tells you to come to the show stage so clearly _something_ was planned to happen at that point at 6am, but Moon gets in the way of it. Since the mission still triggered I wonder if it's possible to actually do it by just using some glitch or hack to remove the Moon thing and see it play out.

I have no idea what happened with FnafSb, weather it be; they lost all funding, had to start from the ground up again or simply rushed for a holiday release. Either way the game should've been delayed again because of how laughably bad this game feels, looks and plays. The studio did their best, it just wasn't enough.
how many delays did Duke Nukem Forever get?
how many delays did Cyberpunk 2077 get?
I mean, hell, even *this* game got delays!
@@Mate_Antal_Zoltan the things is, the fans got mad. They saw they were getting bad press for delaying a game so they rushed it to appease people.
@@beesechurger695
Don’t you fucking dare start that whole “the fans are to blame!” bullshit. Why don’t you blame the people who were actually responsible for making this shit game? Why does the blame ALWAYS shift onto everyone BUT the actual developers?
Y’all really need to break this mindset because it is extremely dangerous.
Actually, FNAF SB was a bit different from games that are normally delayed. This was, in fact, Steel Wool's fault.
Fans weren't pressing into the development team hard about this game. I remember there being barely any leadup to this game's release, or people being anxious about it coming out. Steel Wool could've taken as much time as they wanted, but the problem is that they wanted to create hype for the game.
They repeatedly drip fed the fans small tids and tads of information and teasers about the game, which is perfectly fine, but the problem is that they did this entire years before the final project was done. Scott Cawthon himself made a post himself about the development of SB and I believe it describes perfectly the reason the game came out in the state that its in.
He described the process like baking a cake, where every time he checked back in with Steel Wool, they had added another layer to the cake. Eventually, they got to the point where the cake was just too big and they had to release something, so they had to cut layers and release the game in as good as a shape as they could.
The problem is that Steel Wool kept getting more and more ambitious about the game, adding more and more content, despite the fact that they hadn't fully completed the base.
It may sound tacky for a FNAF game, but this game really would've been received better if they had focused on perfecting a baseline and creating a solid foundation for a priced game, and then trickle in more content like they did for VR and World (to a lesser extent).
Either that, or they should've just quietly kept developing the game instead of giving people a reason to pester them. They could've made all this ambition work, had they not tried so hard to keep interest in the game that they kept adding more and more into. They kept underestimating their stopping point and put too much on their own plate, that eventually, after two years, they finally decided a date and just dumped everything they couldn't finish in a reasonable time.
It's the reason the game is so buggy too, it was most likely never playtested. Most of the game was probably never in a fully completed state (because they kept adding more and more new things to it), that by the time they had to rush to complete it for a final date, playtesting would've just taken away time they could use to finish more of whatever they possibly could do for the game.
And that's completely disregarding some of the questionable and bad game design decisions, such as giving players access to pretty much the entire map with minimal directions, or (as seen in the video) giving directly incorrect instructions for a crucial point in the game, that by design is meant to have no save points, after clearly instructing the player on what to do two times before.
@@SomethingWasHereOnce you've convinced me that it was all Steel Wool's fault when you said that they released small bits of the game and teasers and stuff like that
there's a reason Scott was always secretive about games he was making

The Roxy part of the final boss battle would probably have been much easier to figure out if when you pilot Freddy, he says something along the lines of "be quick Gregory, my power is depleting much more rapidly with you in my chest cavity!" It would help indicate that 1. Freddy's power quickly running out and him tossing you out is meant to happen and 2. That you're probably supposed to use Freddy for something quick, like pressing a button to scare Roxy away (assuming you remember that you now have a voice box that can do that)
Also, the player really shouldn't be told to _hide_ at all. Hiding usually means just waiting until it's safe, but Roxy requires a quick action to drive her away
I think FNAF:Security Breach is really close to "Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric", in terms of how it feels like development was rushed / of how the game feels like it was released too soon, of what the scope of the game was, how good/bad it feels to play it, how many/often exploitable glitches are encountered, even how the old characters were re-designed to look cooler.

When I saw Freddy spinning for the first time, I about started crying because it was so funny
On a serious note, it's shocking how unacceptably bad this game is, and it's very sad because not only does it add a terrible chapter to the story of FNAF as far as the actual games go, but also Mark gave it so much slack and really (REALLY) held back with criticism which, in all honesty, this game didn't deserve from him.
Story-wise, it was terrible in general, especially after Fnaf 6.
for me, i separate the games into 2 "eras": the scott era, starting from fnaf 1 (or chipper and sons if you count that) and ending at fnaf 6 (or UCN if you count that as a fnaf game), and the steel wool era, starting at Help wanted, and currently at Help Wanted 2 (or Security Breach if you do only mainline games) @@a.k8185. The reason i separate these is that at least in my eyes, fnaf 6 wrapped up everything it could pretty well and it would have been fitting for the end of the series.
As a FNAF fan ever since it's release, i was hyped for the game and got the PS4 version (couldn't afford a PS5 or a good pc).
Those are the glitches i suffered:
-Missions don't get completed, leading to game breaking issues, the loading dock dialogue about the higher security does not play.
-The main area of the mall lags
-Flashlight vanishes from Gregory's hand
-Power stations don't open
-Freddy literally VANISHES and calling him no longer works, it's a random bug.
-Afton boss fight breaks after Roxy comes in, she stays there and doesn't allow the amalgamation to show up.
-ENDINGS ARE BLANK, THE CUTSCENES LITERALLY DON'T PLAY. i wasted my time doing them, having to watch them on youtube.
-Doors that are supposed to open with my current security level not opening.
-Visual glitches
-If you enter the lobby from the rockstar row area, there's a chance that if you enter the lobby while the game is still loading you get stuck inside Monty's sign. Had to let Freddy kill me because you can't leave his stomach once that bug happens.
-Chica teleporting constantly behind you, sometimes causing two chicas to go after you.
-Staff bots in the loading docks area can see you through walls.
-Game crashed once.
Those are all the glitches i remember encountering on the PS4 version
Ps4 sb is probably the worst version

oh mark, there's scarier ways of doing that
I watched this whole playthrough and I honestly can’t say this game is good like at all.
The coolest part was probably seeing Spring trap again? And that whole boss fight was bugged as hell and honestly makes no sense. Freddy says “It’s Chica! Close the door!” letting you know what to do. Roxy comes and he says the door won’t hold her back “Hide!” What else are you supposed to do that the game made apparent? Hide. No where does Freddy outright say something along the lines of “maybe my upgrades could help” Like anything to help the player figure it out.
The game is a huge map but empty and no reason to explore expect go here grab that go here grab that. The collectibles aren’t even rewarding the only good thing is the messages? Giving you hints on looking for things. The missing children are NEVER talked about until the very end Gregory says “Nothing will change huh” Like why would he say that? Nothing was learned about the kids where the character reacted like at all? Yes you can piece things together but that’s YOU as the player not the characters.
Doing either Roxy, Chica or Monty for upgrades is just a disappointing way to make the game “harder” by saying you can only die once. Sure you become more careful but when you get shit glitches that crash/break or make the game unfair (ex-chica spawning ontop of Mark) it doesn’t make the game challenging in a fun way.
Vanny being Vanessa was pretty interesting and Glitchtrap kinda controlling that through a game is interesting I guess.
No clue what happened to Bonnie or Foxy just that they got replaced? But you can see them still up as posters and such.
Overall just a disappointing glitchy game that takes what 60-80 gigs and runs like shit? Making it playable by messing with settings which comes with a lot of games but to the point where even that doesn’t help the lag?
most of the storage space it takes up is just the insane amount of bugs, that's why it takes up so much space.
honestly, it's like you have to sacrifice your ssd just to download this disappointment of a game
@@cupid3890 SSD or HDD the lag is exactly the same, in the same areas. Always drops the fps a lot when opening any of those big doors
The only difference I noticed after sacrificing my SSD is that you can stay more time out of bounds if you are using a HDD
The game is also pretty inconsistent with its own lore. Like why tf is springtrap back. Vannesa being possessed was because springtrap wasn't even around anymore.
@John Cobblepot Fair, but this is the first time that the lore has contradicted itself within the same game.
@mercury_stuck_in_1984 hm id say you’re being a bit too general with that. there was definitely a level of strategy that went into playing fnaf 1-6 despite them being point and click. Also, those games are small in scope and size. With such an expansive game world that takes 10x the playtime to complete compared to previous games, you’d expect that the gameplay of Security Breach would be a little more complex than a fetch quest.
Very bold of the devs to shift the genre from horror to a rage game
It's kinda sad to see both Mark and Matpat had ending bugs, making the experience even more confusing. Mark with the Afton Boss Battle, where he never saw the tentacles because Roxy was still there. And Matpat, that was way too curious for the game's likings, and got the Vanny ending before he should have XD
