Watch her very closely and you'll witness this phenomenon. Diana admitted this in an interview. She described it as "being somewhere else" and how sometimes it can take her several minutes to regain full control again. Her ability to convey raw emotions across to the listener is down to this, as if she lives the song feeling all the pain and emotions as if it he story were about herself! Her extremely sad but inspiring childhood provided her with all the understanding about pain, tragedy and strong emotions she now has of course.

Yeah I know, the issue I have is that RUclips gets very annoyed if the songs don't get stopped frequently. In fact putting this up at all was a hassle and was originally blocked worldwide until I disputed it. @@grieverproductions2022 It's because Diana really "isn't there" when she sings such songs! She goes into a sort of trance and allows the song to completely take over! Watch her very closely and you'll witness this phenomenon. Diana admitted this in an interview. She described it as "being somewhere else" and how sometimes it can take her several minutes to regain full control again. Her ability to convey raw emotions across to the listener is down to this, as if she lives the song feeling all the pain and emotions as if it he story were about herself! Her extremely sad but inspiring childhood provided her with all the understanding about pain, tragedy and strong emotions she now has of course.

(I am not a professional but I have compiled information found on Diana's official website, in interviews and in reactions from singers and musicians)
Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana is an unique contralto (dramatic contralto) her comfort range is C3-C6 but in constant evolution. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from lyric chant....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is multitonal (polyphonic) voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya (ruclips.net/user/OlegSemyonov73videos), the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
She has become famous in the broadcast "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.

Two such an angelic voices with a unique approach towards music, their way of storytelling with not just words and voice but as well their body and face expressions. The heroine of this song is an orphan girl who is being raised in someone else's family.

The celebration can be heard in the background. That's the swinging part of the music. You probably already know that Diana was in an orphanage. It seems to be her song. Hence all the emotions she expresses admirably here. Diana's acting, the scenery, the dancers. This is musical theatre - at its best.

There is a new TV show in Russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well known artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. November 2021. The 9 artists are also the judges for the other singer. And Diana (18 yo) won the overall competition of which Diana won 4 and took 2nd place once. She shocked the other singers with the first song. The Crow was her masterpiece in this competition, in my opinion. The judge who stands up is the great opera singer Yusif Eyvazov and the husband of Anna Netrebko, who is world famous. He's very impressed.

Yeah I know, the issue I have is that RUclips gets very annoyed if the songs don't get stopped frequently. In fact putting this up at all was a hassle and was originally blocked worldwide until I disputed it.
