The best inverse in this show is the fact that Damon was introduced as the bad, evil brother, and Stephen is the classic golden boy archetype. But Damon literally can’t hold a candle to Stephen’s level of evil when his humanity’s switched off. Like the lengths he’s willing to go to are unfathomable to Damon.
Because Damon was never really the bad guy the characters try to portray him as. He simply does what NEEDS to be done and people hate him for it lol. He’s rarely ever just trying to be an evil dirt bag like emotionless Stefan.

When it comes to Damon and Stefan without Elena in their lives, you're looking at 2 different people. First, there is Damon. Elena was his only constant, his only grasp on humanity (you might say Stefan kept his dark side at bay, but even in S7, Damon tells Stefan that he has always been a selfish, terrible person/brother until Elena came into his life). "Who is Damon Salvatore without you (Elena)? I am nothing." - Damon in S7. Then, there's Stefan. Stefan's grasp on humanity is fueled by friends, family, love, and many other things. Elena being in a vegetative state doesn't mean as much to Stefan because he has other balances in his life. In my personal opinion, it is stupid and pointless to compare what Damon did in S7 and the beginning of S8 to what Stefan is doing now because his only constant wasn't there and even then, he still tried desperately to stay humane (remember the ending of S8 EP 1?) by clinging on to his memories of Elena. Stefan is ripping because it (for the most part IS who he is). Just my opinion though.

Ok abandoned TVD around season 6, so I'd never seen that scene or even knew that moment existed. But it has to be the best scene ever. I knew I loved Stefan
I loved seasons 1-3. 4 was excruciating for me to watch. The only thing I remember and like about season 5 is Silas. Season 6 brought the beautiful friendship of Bamon, and Kai was entertaining. Once Elena was gone I kind of liked it. Didn't really agree with some stuff with season 8 but whatever. It's worth the watch. The ending was pretty good (well last scene).

They have completely disrupted the sense of this show, transforming it into a stupid soap opera. The only positive note goes to the epic end reserved for paul wesley, who comes out of the scene as a hero, just as he had entered. And at the bottom of my heart I always thought that stefan was the real protagonist of the show, not damon, not elena, and he is the one who Pronounced these words at the beginning: I'm a vampire, and this is MY story "
Stefan has the cure running through his veins now and Elena doesn't. So does that mean, if they're gonna take the cure from Stefan, they're gonna age? Like Katherine did when she got the cure sucked out of her?
Elena was like 18 years old when she fell into that sleeping curse at the end of season 6 she was a human again then. so she wouldn't be that old yet she probly be in her mid 20"s now. and the actress Nina dobrev is like 28 years old in real life now Elena probly be like 23 years old I'm guessing
This proves to us that Stefan's love for Elena wasn't strong enough to make him return his humanity. Of course he thought that he was loving her but I scared about it's just obsession. 🥺 Besides ıt's not matter he turn off his humanity because he responsed his actions in every way. I think at this point the love was fading, like he loved her but he wasnt in love with her. We can see how much he was in love with her when he resisted the compulsion from klaus to kill her .

The best inverse in this show is the fact that Damon was introduced as the bad, evil brother, and Stephen is the classic golden boy archetype. But Damon literally can’t hold a candle to Stephen’s level of evil when his humanity’s switched off. Like the lengths he’s willing to go to are unfathomable to Damon.
Because Damon was never really the bad guy the characters try to portray him as. He simply does what NEEDS to be done and people hate him for it lol. He’s rarely ever just trying to be an evil dirt bag like emotionless Stefan.

When it comes to Damon and Stefan without Elena in their lives, you're looking at 2 different people. First, there is Damon. Elena was his only constant, his only grasp on humanity (you might say Stefan kept his dark side at bay, but even in S7, Damon tells Stefan that he has always been a selfish, terrible person/brother until Elena came into his life). "Who is Damon Salvatore without you (Elena)? I am nothing." - Damon in S7.
Then, there's Stefan. Stefan's grasp on humanity is fueled by friends, family, love, and many other things. Elena being in a vegetative state doesn't mean as much to Stefan because he has other balances in his life. In my personal opinion, it is stupid and pointless to compare what Damon did in S7 and the beginning of S8 to what Stefan is doing now because his only constant wasn't there and even then, he still tried desperately to stay humane (remember the ending of S8 EP 1?) by clinging on to his memories of Elena. Stefan is ripping because it (for the most part IS who he is). Just my opinion though.

I loved seasons 1-3. 4 was excruciating for me to watch. The only thing I remember and like about season 5 is Silas. Season 6 brought the beautiful friendship of Bamon, and Kai was entertaining. Once Elena was gone I kind of liked it. Didn't really agree with some stuff with season 8 but whatever. It's worth the watch. The ending was pretty good (well last scene).

This proves to us that Stefan's love for Elena wasn't strong enough to make him return his humanity. Of course he thought that he was loving her but I scared about it's just obsession. 🥺 Besides ıt's not matter he turn off his humanity because he responsed his actions in every way. I know he suffer about what he doing things when he return his humanity but also when he feeling sad he never hesiteting back to without humanity. That's cycle.😢 So we are human and we cant turn off us humanity so we are taking respons consequences our actions. Regret and sadness should provide be better a human but a vampire shouldnt lived this feelings. İf a vampire living remors he cant feed and this consequences of died more people.
I think at this point the love was fading, like he loved her but he wasnt in love with her. We can see how much he was in love with her when he resisted the compulsion from klaus to kill her .

We always saw that but he almost killed Elena that's sad and nonsense for me. Of course Stefan was loving and care about Elena but in my opinion he was in love with Katherine in every times his life. just couldnt forgive her so his love turned into hate. He didnt believe that he could loved like a person. He was trying to find a good shape of Katherine in Elena. Elena was providing to believe him that he could live a good, positive life. @@Ana-fb7kl yes I'm watching second season yet , ı wasnt like half of first season because ı was feeling unfamiliar about side chacracters( camille, davina etc.) But ı have started like all of them. I have already big fan of Elijah and Klaus since first time ı seen them 😂 I always find interesting , amazing of original's storyline. Mikael and esther is literally lunatic. ı have getting crazy watching both of two. 😂 I like seeing Klaus's good sides and pains. I was Kloroline shipper so bad but ı guess ı have started liking Klamille. I have getting shocked and weeped almost every scene. I feel All of storylines is amazing but writer wasnt good at writing any of them.😢 I always notice hole in script. Always and forever 🤞😂 ( sorry, my englısh is not enough yet 😂)

Stefan has never really done anything to hurt Elena only a few and Damon has done a lot (not meaning to and meaning to) and Stefan is actually bad for once just like Damon. Everyone goes crazy that Stefan is bad when Damon has been bad so many times and for so long, but it's also because Stefan is killing Elena so that's no excuse for his behavior because Damon has never gone to that extent other than when they first met but all he did was threaten to do that. damon has never hurt elena. why do people always mention that. do u even watch the show. if u talking emotionally then i agree damon has hurt elena by killing her brother but that also means that stefan has hurt her as well by almost driving her off wickery bridge. and please don't compare season 1 to this damon. damon was pure evil in season 1 and even though he was so evil in season 1 he still never hurt her physically. he threatened her in 1x14 but i doubt he would of went along with it, and he fed her his blood which is also not hurting her. he did that because he was selfish and was afraid of losing her. he thought he was helping her not realising what he's done. if u want to talk about hurting someone then talk about caroline and damon. damon hurt her constantly. that is what hurt looks like. damon has never done that to elena ever. if u want to hate on a character then get your facts right.

And both of them are not perfect but nobody is. So you don't need to complain about Stefan because there are a lot of bad things that Damon did.
