Honestly, when people say they ship Demon and Elena, I feel like people don’t know what love is. Stefan there sacrificed every inch of his life to that lady there. He even saw her leave him and choose his brother yet he never stopped loving her. Vampire Diaries will be Stefan’s story for me, only Stefan Salvatore. It’s his story and he is the Man of his words. season 4.) damon is elena’s sire and steals her away from Stefan
Season 5.) Stefan gives the cure to Elena when he could have taken it
Season 7.) damon was about to get stabbed by the Phoenix sword but Stefan saved him and got stabbed in the process. Also damon abandoned Stefan and Bonnie because he was a coward and didn’t want to make anymore mistakes.
Season 8.) Stefan gave himself to Cade for the twins and he didn’t want damon to be alone. And at the end he sacrificed himself for everyone.

AND AFTER SHE SAID NO HE KILLED JEREMY. Damon only loved her because she looked like Katherine. Stefan told Lexi that he fell in love with Elena because she was so kind and selfless. Also, delena shippers always bring up the fact that Stefan killed Enzo. HE HAD HIS HUMANITY TURNED OFF. STEFAN ALSO FELT SO GUILTY THAT HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF AT THE END! So you consider Stefan pushing Elena away as Damon stealing her? No. As for who Damon killed, most of those were impulsive decisions or with his humanity off, and Tyler wasn’t his fault since he was under Sybil’s control and didn’t have a choice but to turn his humanity off. Meanwhile Stefan made Elena relive the trauma of her parents death when he tried to drive her off the bridge they died on, and his humanity was partly on, enough to save Damon and seek revenge on Klaus. And before you say he wouldn’t do it, the fact that he never once said he wouldn’t should prove he would have, and that’s the moment he truly lost Elena, and it had absolutely nothing to do with Damon

I really like how far the Salvatores came through this show. The show began with Stefan wanting to kill Damon, but ended with him dying for him instead.
*Literally everytime Damon has flashbacks of his time with Elena when he is alone, it consists of them on bed or kissing that's it. Whereas Stefan has so many beautiful memories, like just holding hands under the beautiful night sky. Well that is love and not just high hormone fantasies of teenage. Ugh imma cryy!!!*

Paul Wesley is a great actor. I know he once said that he did not like to really play broody, crying Stefan, but he enjoyed playing Ripper more. But, Paul is really good in scenes that he has to be emotional in. He and Kat Graham were the best actors on the show.

Paul Wesley overshadowed every other performance in that finale, Ian had a hard time keeping it professional and Nina did good but couldn’t keep up the chemistry all by herself. I truly think Paul is brilliant and hope he will take on bigger roles in the future... I’m convinced he can display every possible emotion. He made the finale kinda worth watching although the plot was really messy
His acting throughout all the seasons was exceptional, but that finale was really a stand-out performance. He was better than everyone else. Heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. He is a great actor.

I have never been so emotionally attached to any other fictional character but Stefan. Stefan was the onky character which made me cry so many times throughout the series. And yes, I m a straight guy btw. I never thought I would cry over a fictional character but I did. And Paul Wesley's amazing acting is the reason for it. Nina was good too but I think she kind of lost that charm after S5. Ian was good but his acting never convinced me. Paul totally owned the finale with his acting. He deserves much more recognition than he gets. I hope he gets bigger roles in the future, I m totally looking forward for his work.

Stefan is inherently good, when he was put in someone’s body, he didn’t remember who he was or anything but his first instinct was to save people on the bus. Stefan sacrifices his happiness all the time and when he could’ve been happy, Damon shows up, stalks and flirts with his gf, tries to push him into drinking human blood, pushing him over the edge because he promised him an eternity of suffering and for what reason? He blames stefan for making him turn but it’s not like he doesn’t enjoy being a vampire otherwise he would just die. Damon doesn’t take accountability for his actions, a cowardly childish murderer. Damon had to learn to be good and it was always fragile, if elena broke his heart he would go on a killing spree. He needed an anchor to be good, while Stefan was good just because. The show glamourises the disturbing trope of the bad boy turning good just because of a girl, “I can change him” headass. “She makes me wanna be a better man” headass. I’ll never forget Damon killed a pregnant woman, that’s sick. The people justifying his actions with his past or viewing him as a “misunderstood guy who deserve better”, y’all are sick too. It’s people like you that date abusers and murderers in real life because they’re good looking. Best believe if someone conventionally unattractive played Damon, people would hate him more. Did anybody notice that there were no speaking dialogue scenes between Damon and Elena in the finale. I mean , there was that awkward kiss, and hand holding at the end. Ian Somerhalder seemed so stiff in those scenes with Nina. At least Nina was trying. Paul Wesley really shined in the finale!!!

not in this particular scene. after hearing it about 20 times or so there is not a word of Caroline, its "I loved you, Elena. I MEAN, I always loved U". And he whispers straight into her ear pulling her hair away, the other scene with Caroline is different. It's not even in the slightest unrealistic too, throughout this moment he never stopped loving Elena and now he's dead. The scene where he tells Elena that he will always love Caroline too was probably another shot of this scene, so basically both happened but for once again, Stefan and Elena have only eyes for each other so US Stelena fans as sad as it is, got to see the real Relationship of Stelena again after f*cking season 2, so 6 years for one episode. There where moments here and there for Stefan and Elena, short lived things, Stefan and Katherine and also Silas and Amara but it was mostly random sh*t and we all can agree that Julie Plec only catered to the most dedicated part of the fandom that was most of the time the "Delena" fans, also Ian Somerhalder's biggest fans X'D like J.P. herself and Caroline Dries the Co. writer didn't care at all for Stefan and Elena (or did she?who knows). that's just my little opinion.

Say what you will but this reunion scene between Elena and Stefan had more feeling and emotion to it than the one with her and Damon. With Damon it looked forced and very short. This scene reminded me of the very first time Elena and Stefan met. Their on-screen chemistry is simply unmatched.
well, this was their reunion and goodbye, so of course it will be a lot more emotional. plus nina and ian had broken up so their on camera chemistry was, as you said, forced and short. though they are great actors and there's no excuse, it just helps to understand why (:
@@wg6276 everyone says this, but they were broken up during season 4 and 5. They broke up a long time ago. Maybe them not filming together in so long and Ian getting married had something to do with the chemistry between then dying, but they had chemistry even after they broke up when filing s4-s6.

They didn't feel in sync (Nina & Ian) at all on screen and I didn't like the seasons 4-8 but continued watching hoping it would get better but the show was better in the earlier seasons.
