@DJ S There is no evidence presented as to how the vehicle was being driven. If he was driving "like a drunk" - then the officer should have administered a field sobriety test.
Actually if you said "I dont know," you're basically saying you don't know that you broke a law or rather did a traffic violation. Simply put just ask him or her "can you tell me why you're pulling me over." No yes or no to incriminate yourself either way.
If a cop asks you “do you know why I pulled you over.” Never guess. Also don’t “have a conversation” with any police. They are trained, and encouraged to lie and deceive in order to fish for a crime.
When a cop is so concerned about the camera that he feels the need to say he's not concerned about the camera, he's definitely concerned about the camera.
Which almost always means that he has a legitimate reason to be concerned about the camera. Meaning he was likely engaging in illegal acts/behaviors and knows that video footage will expose his wrongdoings.

Hey dude cop I was trying to chirp 3rd to 4th dig?
FFS, never answer when a cop asks you why he pulled you over.
Not really true with some cops yes but being brutally honest has got me out of a few tickets all about who’s wearing the badge. High school bully or someone who wants to enforce laws but be fair and helpful. I don’t really disagree though cause you never know which one you will get.
Barry McCockener being a good ole white boy got you out of tickets
"Routine stop ?" is my automatic reply.
Anytime I’ve ever told an officer about a firearm in my vehicle the only answers I’ve been given are “well if you’ve told me about it I’m not really worried about you using it on me” and never once have they “taken” it for their safety.
Never answer questions and incriminate yourself. He was fishing to write you a ticket. Its called policing for profit and that cop should be fired
What planet do you drive on?
@@rabokarabekian409 . the reason, the first thing , the police officer says, is " do you know why i pulled you over". This is an attempt to get the driver to self incriminate himself, and police forces all over the world, use this ploy to get convictions, that they have no evidence for
It's all about the money. On a dismissed case you should be refunded all of the money you had to spend from the cop personally.

This guy shouldn’t be a cop. Never could get the girl in high school and he still hasn’t gotten over it.
DJ S I’m guessing you like having your rights violated at traffic stops, and like being throated by cops.
@DJ S There is no evidence presented as to how the vehicle was being driven. If he was driving "like a drunk" - then the officer should have administered a field sobriety test.
DJ S Lol ok , so what police department do you work for?
Methinks he's still sour for not getting the boy back in hs
When they ask you "do you know why I pulled you over?" unless you say "I don't know" it is taken as admission of guilt.
Say literally nothing. "I don't know." Can be conflated to inattention.
Say yes and leave it at that. You don't have to elaborate. Yes, I know why you pulled me over and smile big.😜
You obviously pulled me over to see if I knew why you pulled me over
You answer with, "Do you know why you pulled me over?"
Actually if you said "I dont know," you're basically saying you don't know that you broke a law or rather did a traffic violation. Simply put just ask him or her "can you tell me why you're pulling me over." No yes or no to incriminate yourself either way.
“Do you know why I pulled you over?”
“No.”
"You're fishing."
"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
"I don't answer questions under my 5th amendments rights."
When you drive an expensive car you become a magnet for these cops on a power trip.!!!
“Anything you say can and WILL be used against you”. You’re a good man. Super humble. I can learn a lot from your example.
Little man's complex. Lot's of little men become cops. "Finally, I'm in fucking charge!"
Which almost always means that he has a legitimate reason to be concerned about the camera. Meaning he was likely engaging in illegal acts/behaviors and knows that video footage will expose his wrongdoings.
@Bob Wehadababyitsaboy I kicked the shit out of tiny feller's back in high school. It was fun giving them nose bleeds. Little cops are always adjusting their belt's. It out weighs them. Tiny woman state troopers in NH get handcuffed to their own steering wheel.
@Bob Wehadababyitsaboy You can't help it because you are poor. And starting another year off as a complete failure. Pathetic. She's going to leave you in 2022.
actually you could made things easier by saying “ I dont answer to questions”!
Yeah for real
The fact you initially incriminated yourself ... 🤦♂️
Wise up!
Exactly. You should have not said anything but yes and no.
The only truthful answer to "Do you know why I pulled you over?" is ALWAYS, "No, Officer, I do not know why you pulled me over." You are not in the officer's head and any possible reasons you give are speculative.
Anything you say can be used against you, and such leading questions are designed to invite self-incrimination.
"Do you know why I pulled you over?" "No idea, I was driving as safely as possible. Why did you?"
Yes, officer. You wanted to catch up with me.
I think your mistake was even bothering to explain.. The "I was making it pop" is just not going to help. If he asks what you doing plead ignorance. Lets him justify his stop
1000% agreed. I usually would say nothing at all if I were in fact doing something wrong. I just thought that there was ZERO justification for the stop so I figured I'd have nothing to worry about. I should know better. This guy had an agenda.

If the officer can articulate reckless driving well that opens up a whole new door for articulating crimes that they commit while they're wearing the badge in under oath
The only thing I learned here is how not to answer an officer when he asks me to produce proof against myself.

“Police state?”

Jealousy?
Officer: do you know why I pulled you over
Me: your properly bored but I’m not
He wants you to incriminate yourself when asking "why did I stop you ?", never answer that
You admitted swerving and speeding to make your car pop. Never admit anything, I don’t answer question period
You should have never answered any of his questions in the first place, that’s why u got the reckless ticket you gave him everything he needed smh
Never admit to anything. If the officer says you were doing this, then think of it as “I’m accusing you of doing this.” It means they think they saw you, but that doesn’t mean anything in court unless they have some sort of proof, and even the proof they have isn’t that great.
Best answer would have been "I don't answer questions why don't you tell me why you pulled me over" answering questions to law enforcement is incriminating yourself. Next time use your 5th amendment right to remain silent.
AGREED! I should know better and usually do!
Everyone should take this advise and NEVER answer ANY questions police ask you. It’s hard to do but there is absolutely nothing you can say to help what so ever. You admitted to “swerving” and “accelerating to hear the pop”, so without knowing a judge, paying $1000’s for a lawyer and getting a “fair” trial, a conviction would have been likely. Most take a plea bargain. Your encounter is a great learning example of how not to act when being pulled. Honestly, I would have struggled not to act the same way.
“Officer, I want my lawyer.” This is an invocation of the Sixth Amendment and hs its advantages. Prof. James Duane covers it.
Case dismissed but after 1000s of dollars in lawyer fees. I've seen this officer in many other videos, you got out of it cheap!!! This officer need to be fired if not jailed!!!
Ya ya
Both fired & jail time as well is what is deserved!
@Buk Now they never get fired because they have a brotherhood or in other words a gang and plus at this point cops are there to protect the wealthy who pay their salaries through our own money.
All these cops and white vigilante's this past year who killed (george floyd, aubrey what's his name and the guy from upstate NY) are gonna walk. Just like back in the 50's and 60's. His little 🐽🪱 was jealous of you owning a better status symbol of manhood than his overcompensating Tahoe tank. It's a pretty standard thing for lots of them to do to assert their dominance on the street. The whole lecture was part of that like you already said.
If you have evidence enough to prove that a cop lied or wrote invalid speeding tickets, they should be absolutely fired, and have something on their record where they can not be hired in another security position for the rest of their life.
Never, ever, ever confess to the police, especially on video! Do you know why I pulled you over? Nope.
If you're found not guilty like that the police officer should have to pay the lawyer fees and he should be charged for falsifying a statement
Isn’t it normal, that the state pays your expenses in defending yourself if you are found innocent? Serious question. I’m from Germany and here the rule is pretty clear: Whoever loses a law suit will pay the winning parties expenses, so people and state attorneys will think before they go into a law suit where they are not sure to be on the right side.
@@Kref3 not here. Justice is not served unless it is bought and paid for.

It sucks you won the legal battle but the officer doesn't learn anything or change his behavior from it. I hope you consider filing a complaint as atleast that could result in some sort of training/learning experience for the officer. He seems like he could use some public relations training, his social skills are fairly unprofessional.
That’s not entrapment. That’s being a cop. Entrapment is them holding a gun to your head and making you commit a crime.

I've had as many bad experiences with the cops as I have good ones. Plain and simple, there's people wearing badges that shouldn't ever have that responsibility or privilege.
