the rice paddle mic is everything 🥹 hahah
Hahahha, I had to clip it somewhere!
😂🤣
That was my first thought as well 😂
I came here to say the same thing 🤣
That’s why I love her 😭🍚
As a 5'3'' girl with a rectangular body type, I find that high-waisted outfits to be more flattering on my body. Now I understand why - rule of thirds! Thanks for the insight 😊
Long live the high-waist bottoms!!
Notes I made:
1. Keep in mind the hemline of a dress. It should fall above your knee. V-necks elongate your torso.
2. Wear nude coloured heels to elongate your legs
3. Waistline should be cinched in if you have a rectangle body to add shape
4. Remember the rule of thirds. 1/3 top + 2/3 bottoms.
5. Pair tight tops with baggy bottoms (or vice versa). Never baggy + baggy.
I screamed of joy when I saw the title 😭 Jenn pleaseeee make this for winter outfits too! I wanna look cute and stylish in my winter coat/layers (not like a little kid) 😂
Yeeeees! Gaaah I see tall ladies looking so freaking cute in winter with all their layers with long coats and scarfs, and here I am looking like a blob trying to layer up my 5’1 body 😂
yesss second this big time!! this video was so helpful and also confirmed me in some things i noticed were going on but couldn't quite pinpoint what was the issue...this for winter would be absolute GOLD!
I’m not a short girlie but this was SO informative. I learned so much that I can apply to my body shape. Thank you Jenn ❤
I'm barely 5'1" but I really enjoy wearing platforms and ankle socks to give the illusion that I'm taller! Shoutout to all my short girls, you're killing! 🤩
Love the breakdown of formulas! You rarely ever see fashion videos for short queens ✋🏼👸🏻
Rice paddle mic is genius 😂
YESS!!! I love your fashion advice!!! Reminds me of clothes encounter days. I’m 5’3 with a rectangle body shape, so you’ve always been my fashion inspiration.❤ I just love your style.
We love you short queen ❤ Thank you for the amazing outfit ideas unnie!
I agree accentuate your waist is probably the best advice for any woman
Yesss I’ve been needed more petite fashion advice 😭♥️
Girl, I gotchu! x
Petite girlies should not underestimate the power of a casual platform sandal!!! Not only do they provide a little more height but most are so comfy to wear all day long
Loving your energy Jenn ❤
I'm a tall girl but I would never miss a video of yours so here I am!! Sending love from Ecuador. I've love your content for a few years and it's being amazing growing up with you 💖
That was probably the best video on styling for petites that I've watched because you explain why something does not work followed by an example of what does work. The visualizations and labelling really helps as well. great video!
This video is so helpful! Thank you for the tips 🤗
Loved this video!! I’m under 5 feet and I am always looking for tips on how to appear taller and put together flattering outfits!
Two videos in one week?! 🙌🏾🤩 what a treat omg
Haven't click so fast! So glad that you are doing full fashion content again
though i'm what you would consider tall (1.75m or however many feet), i don't look as tall when i'm wearing an outfit i don't like. i think it's a common thing for tall people to give into bad posture because not wanting to stand out and be the elefant in the room. so for me, the most flattering thing is to wear something i'm comfortable in. not necessarily physically comfortable, but also mentally if that makes sense. that way my shoulders don't round down, i proudly tilt my head up and my confident attitude enhances my body type :)
10/10would recommend
🎉🎉 I love this, and needed this. I’m 5”3 and I am discovering my sense of style.
I love the rice paddle for the mic holder !! Also i love this video! Although I'm a 5'10 girl, I found some useful fashion tips too :') Thanks Jenn!
I bet you're gonna be THAT much more stylish!
Short + hourglass (but like, wider shoulders and legs than just normal proportions), ALWAYS tighter top and loose bottoms. Love my trousers/wide leg pants with a high waist. I’ll also wear skirts that cut half way up my thighs so my thighs don’t look so large
That American apparel dress is so cute!!
I definitely relate to styling a rectangle body!! Always love your fashion videos :)
Yeeee! x
Your fashion videos will ALWAYS be my favourite 💛💛💛 i mean really all your vids lol luvyaaa
Under 5ft shortie over here! 🙌🏼 your outfits were so cute! Thanks for helping us shorties out there!
I'm 5'0, and I love the rule of thirds idea. I also love the rice paddle mic.
So good Jenn! Great tips
I'm tall but have a long torso and short legs so this video helps ♥ Thank you Jenn!

“Thirds” rule is game changer

I loved this! I’m 4’ 11” and it was very helpful, most of my wardrobe is thrifted or hand me downs so this is a fun activity to try :)
Amazing jin❤ beautiful dresses😊
Aghh thank you so much for these tips!!
i love this. need fall + winter version pleaaase!
As someone with thicker thighs and calves + is short (the Japanese in me), wear something half up your thighs and for extra points, knee high socks/boots. It really helps my legs look longer!!
I loved this! 😂❤
I try to stay true to myself and what looks good on me over what the trends are, it helps quite a bit. Awesome video!
the rice cooker ladle was a magnificent idea
Loving the rice spatula as a mic 🎤 😂 I also have a rectangle body type like you and I feel like my fashion tip is 🧐 to find pieces that create the illusion of a waist! Like fit/flare!
I'm 5'9" but I live Jen so I'm here
aww such a throwback!! i think i remember jenn talking about wearing nude coloured heels to elongate her legs during clothesencounters era and i remember that tip till today ❤
Love the petite girl fashion advice!!! It’s hard out here
Cool tips❣️
✅The Rule of Thirds, top 1/3, bottom 2/3
✅Baggy + Tight = Ideal
I am doing sustainable fashion very very imperfectly, meaning I thrift and I buy random stuff that’s not considered ethical. I unfollowed so many “influencers” who promote fast fashion and basically doesn’t give a shit about sustainability. Well I couldn’t unfollow Jenn cause she is also doing the best she can to be a conscious buyer. She doesn’t brush it under the carpet. I love how she is transparent about it.
Love that you're not afraid to do it imperfectly!! We need more people trying even if we can't do everything perfect.
I’m a pear shape and 100% straight leg pleated trousers + a-line skirts have been so forgiving with my body with tight fitting shirts. Absolute game changer
I have the same height(slightly shorter 154cm) and love your tips for petit💖 Most of my clothes are from second handed so will definitely check it out too! The rice scooper🎤😂 love it
As a girl 5,2 and oblong body I really thank you for this video
I really needed it!!! ♡
Love love this video! I remember meeting you and thinking you were very tall because of your creepers 😂 Will be following these tips thank youuu!
Im almost 6ft tall, but I love your videos so much that I’ll still watch 😅
the rice paddle loooooooool
This video is bringing back 2017 jen 🤭🤭 I love youuu
2017 vibes, but with a 2023 mindset! x
@@imjennim WE LOVE TO SEE IT
OMGGGGG this video is sooo good❤ it's making me want to know my body more. I'm kinda jealous of other body types because they look good with any outfit. But seeing this makes me hopeful that I just need to know outfits that's flattering my body🩷 I have long torso and short legs and I'm having a hard time to find dress that suits me
Absolutely! Rather than spending time wishing we're in different bodies, it's much more productive to figure out what works with one we were blessed with. (:

발견해서 밥먹을 때마다 보고 있어요 😊 젠님이 작다고 못느꼈는데 저랑 키가 같네요??!! 소개해준 패션들 완전 꿀팁이에요! 👍👍
Never been this earlyyy! Hi short queen!

Hourglass and my favorite silhouette is A-line and a deep neckline
Agreed! ♥
nice mic there Jenn HAHAH 🫣 hehe I always look forward to your new videos 🥳
I needed a base for the mic and thought why not? LOL!
@@imjennimthat's creative, fully making use of what you have 😌
Thank you for this video! I’m also 5’1.
I'm 5'10" but have a long torso so I still find this helpful!
I'm 5'11 but still clicked the video for the Jenn content :)
Not a short girly, just love this space. ❤
Welcome!!! :D
I'm 4' 11 1/2" and 3/4" s and in my younger years I always wore high heels and clothes that , I thought elongated me. I remember when Low rise jeans was the big craze and ugggh for me :( not so. Thank goodness for Calvin Klein's Mid rise jeans and platforms, yay :) I Love what u have to offer and love my Converse platforms and my JLos platform sneakers :) Thank u always Jen, from a true shorty🤔🤗🥰
I’m a petite woman 5ft tall lol and people tell me the same thing where people tell me I always look taller in pics. Real talk though I have very long legs compared to the rest of my body so I tend to look taller than I really am. I recommend platform shoes, heels, platform sneakers. I also love tailoring my own clothes, it really helps save money but get things to hit perfectly ❤️ like for example jeans are really hard to find but If I fix the hem myself I can make it perfect, dresses can be harder to tailor yourself depending on the style or fabric of dress. Great tips in this video ❤️❤️❤️ I’m also a fan of maxi styles.
Ughh, this inspires me to learn how to sew. Would love to tailor my own items.
I remember that you had similar earrings on videos when you first started your channel😍
The rice paddle microphone, omg. :D
that mic is genius :)))
I'm 5'1 too!! So I'm still learning about My body too
Need all the help here - 5ft tall. Great tips!
Ooh could you talk more about high socks and calves? My calves are one of my biggest insecurities and I feel like high socks are sometimes flattering but can’t really nail it!
Extra points for the rice paddle as a mic holder. Respect! 😎😅
hahaha I'm also 150cm tall, short torso and rectangular body 😂 I never felt soooo understood, thanks for your amazing video 💕
Short queen here !!!!!!
I was so invested then I went I’m sorry is that a rice paddle 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s amazing
rice paddle mic is hilarious
As a 6' tall woman, I can confirm all of these tips will make me look taller. :)
5"1- I'm not short, I'm funsize, hehe. Oh and I love how you just clipped the microphone to the rice spatula, nice :D
Thank you for the tips! ❤
Whoo! I'm glad you found them helpful! n_n
There’s nothing wrong with being short, no need to make yourself look taller!
Where is that white dress from? It’s givingggggg 🥰
are you holding a rice paddle that the mic is clipped onto??? LOL love you 😂💛
Hahhahaha yes
The rice paddle!! Why isn't anyone commenting about the rice paddle?! 😆💛
These were actually good tips for average height people too.
love thiiiis
Where are those stunning gold heels with the wee bows on them from?! 🤩
Hi Jenn, love your white bag! Where did you get it from? :D p.s. fellow shortie here
I'm 5'4 and an hourglass shape, so even though im not too short my broad shoulders and wide hips can make me look shorter than i am. Kind of the opposite to Jenn in that people think im shorter until they meet me irl 😅 if anyone relates some tips ive found is to wear v necklines to draw the eye away from your shoulders, thicker straps for your tops instead of spaghetti straps this kinda breaks up the long line of your shoulders, i have short torso and legs so i found that highwaisted bottoms may make my legs appear longer but it also shrinks my already short torso so mid rise pants are the best for me 😊❤
i met you at lolla and i also thought you were taller 😆
Hold up, is your mic clipped onto a rice cooker paddle?! 😂🤣 That is AMAZING
Yes it is 😂
