- Today’s video I’m going to be sharing with you how to accessorize. Accessories can really polish off your outfit and bring your whole look together. You want to choose accessories that compliment your look and really enhance it. This video I’ll be sharing 3 different outfits and showing you how to accessorize like a pro, and basically how I would accessorize them! Hopefully you can get a little bit of style inspiration and fashion advice from this video.

I loved the second and the third outfit! The Zara's dress is stunning! I wear pretty much black with other prints so perfect outfits for me! I also loved how you accessorize everything! I usually keep my jewelry minimal but I really loved the statement necklace!
I agree, I always like more minimal jewelry too ❤️And you can never go wrong mixing black with different prints and things!
@@byerinelizabeth You've done an excellent job explaining why pieces harmonize. I learned quite a bit. I love everything you've done, with the exception of the shoe choice for the glamourous black dress. I think you mentioned you're not a fan of high heels, but for that dress, I think that the straps of your shoe choice, harshly break the line from hem to feet. I think a black patent comfortable low healed pump would have been better. Btw, Erin, years ago I realized the shoulder texture needs to match the shoe texture. - that is, a strapless dress needs an open toe shoe or sandal, a wool winter blazer needs a boot, or a shoe that completely covers the toes. Your classic white blouse is between these two- so goes with either sandal or shoe. I also like your beautifully done simple makeup, as you are very pretty and classy. I am a lot older than you, but wrote fashion copy for a column in a Hartford, Connecticut newspaper, many years ago. I would visit stores, be shown gorgeous clothes, and would write a compelling ad. And when the merchandise in my size got hugely marked down, I accumulated a fabulous wardrobe....ahh...the good ol' days.. Best wishes, great job, and yes, I subscribed to your channel today...

I actually really liked how you rolled up the sleeves on the white button up top. I usually just roll it over instead of folding it (can't describe it). It's such a small detail, but I never thought of rolling it up like that. Thank you!

I often build my outfit around a great accessory that I want to wear, like a pattered scarf, statement jewelry, or a decorative belt. I don’t really choose my outfit first, then accessorize. It’s like decorating a room in various colors, finishes, etc., then trying to find artwork, a rug and a pattered fabric that works with the features already chosen - very tough. It’s much easier to first select the standout piece like a great rug or painting, then select the other solid colors and simpler pieces to complement that special piece.

Exactly! Trying to stuff your T-shirt into your pants without a belt would be even more odd than letting your T-shirt out of your pants, in my opinion. That video is great, we have a very similar style.😊♥️

Great tips. I recall ready somewhere that sometimes our Royal Family wear the jewellery first and then match the outfit to the jewellery. Especially if received from an important person or country they are visiting. Sometimes I do this myself especially if I have statement pieces that I want to wear but nothing that goes with it. Have you ever done that and what do you think of that idea? Thanks.
That's a cool idea, I've never really tried it that way, usually I accessorize last but would be kind of fun building an outfit around accessories first :)

I have a necklace with two hearts, one is a few years older and I got it from someone (either my grandma, my cousin or my biological family) I don't quite remember, and the other I got a year or so ago from my grandma. I wear this necklace 24/7, never take it off,, not even for showering. I'm almost scared to wear other necklaces but I do want to make my outfits cooler.
I like the Ralph Lauren rolled sleeve with the jeans. I think you missed a great chance to give #3 the sophisticated look it deserved with an hair updo.
