Profoundly sensual...totally intimate...nobody sings this like Celine. ❤

For those who don’t know… these songs were shelved and never completed because Phil Spector was problematic during the sessions so her husband/manager Rene Angelil shut it all down. It worked out well for Celine, who went on to record the record-breaking Falling Into You album shortly after.
Celine will probably never agree to officially release these songs… but they are such a treasure. Various versions of these Celine/Phil songs are out there… on tapes. Such an interesting chapter in Celine Dion’s English recording career. I do hope they’re officially released someday.

A Spector example of "less is more", like the Paris Sisters.

Did Phil Spector write these lyrics and composed these songs? I,m kind of surprised if he did,,,,,LF

He wrote “Is This What I Get For Loving You” with Carole King and Gerry Goffin, he wrote “What Am I To Do” with Doc Pomus and he wrote this with Toni Wine and Irwine Levin. So the answer is yes and he wrote loads of hit songs.

Recorded by Petula Clark on her terrific but unexplainably overlooked 1970 MEMPHIS album. These lyrics here are totally wrong.

Maybe they re-wrote it for this recording. There’s a strong possibility Spector co-wrote the original with Irwin Levine and Toni Wine.

She didn’t write the lyrics. It was written by Irwin Levine and Toni Wine. Spector had wrote songs with them in the past, there’s a possibility Spector co-wrote the song too as the credits I found were wrong, crediting it to a 17 year old DJ from Blackpool who’s career hadn’t even began yet, Ian Levine.
