    You will learn how to cover (or arrange) any song in the style of Mateus Asato! When creating song arrangements in this style, we will need to use a mixture of tools and techniques such as: double stops, triads, and chord embellishments. You'll need a good ear to be able to combine the melody and harmony, but with practice, and following the tips and tricks that I share in this video, you will be able to do it soon enough! 🙂

    ABOUT ME
    ﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋
    Hey! My name is Darryl Syms, and uh, well, I play guitar! I mean, I do a bunch of other cool things too - hopefully you can get to know me a little bit more through some of my videos.
    On this channel, I predominantly post instructional videos to help inspire and encourage like-minded guitar players. My goal is to help you expand your musical vocabulary, to broaden your understanding of music, and to entertain. There are already thousands of guitar related videos out there, but I try to set my videos apart from the usual by exploring a modern approach, and by simply being myself! 💁♂️
    Other than music, I have many other passions such as surfing, snowboarding, nutrition, advocating a vegan and sustainable lifestyle, yoga, photography, and a mixture of other things. Maybe you're interested in checking out my website: www.darrylsyms.com ✌️
    I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, and I look forward to growing as a musician with you!

    Thnaks bro!... Mateus Asato is for me one of the best guitar players out there now, and there's no much info about his technique, Tone, Melodies and vision to play songs, he's just original and amazing (my opinion), and is almost impossible to find online, people that dares to explain his technique, for that i'm super thankful!!! Keep the good work!

    sabe no brasil quando um chines vende pastel e fica conversando em chines na sua frente? nao sente aquela vontade de ir na china vender pastel e falar em portugues na frente deles ? kkk
    é mais ou menos assim que me sinto quando vejo esse tipo de video, mas na verdade é um tipo de orgulho e honra, por que nós do brasil, constantemente ficamos tentando aprender o jeito de algum guitarrista gringo, e hoje, os gringos tiram as musicas de um brasileiro. Amo muito esse tipo de coisa, podemos mostrar que nem tudo na musica é ingles ou americano, apesar das influencias e do estudo dele serem fontes gringas, ainda sim seu esforço é Brasileiro.

    Very cool lesson! I love Mateus Asato’s playing style. Your guitar is slightly out of tune, in some of the chords it hurts a little bit xD maybe check your intonation setup. Cheers

    • @DarrylSyms
      @DarrylSyms  6 лет назад +5

      I removed the clip at the beginning of the video where I mentioned that my tuning is INTENTIONALLY flat at the beginning of the video, because the original Boys II Men song is also FLAT. I removed this clip because the beginning section was only intended for demonstration, I didn't expect anyone to really notice or care because it is in tune relative to the song, but perhaps I should have kept it in to be more clear! :)

    I dont understand Mateus Asato interest in the new produced bands with puppet musicians and singers, which basically borrow from here and there and dont invent anything. If he got his ideas from music from the 70s and 80s he would have more chances to be in contact with real authors and real musicians. my opinion

    • @DarrylSyms
      @DarrylSyms  6 лет назад +7

      I disagree, I mean after all - it's called "Pop Music" for a reason. Because it's popular. The majority don't listen to Jazz music, even though it's the most technically advanced and unique. Pop Music is among the catchiest kind, despite it being "borrowed" and almost "un-original". Everyone has their own taste though huh :)

    • @noahfickel
      @noahfickel 6 лет назад +3

      If he got his ideas from the older generation, he wouldn’t be who he is today. People like him because of his unique new spin on “puppet musician’s songs.”
