Thank you, Sally for those kind words about the crew....yes, we were a family and still are. During prep I recall asking Earl who Sally Boyden was, and he said, "John, she's a big star in Australia!" Well, you were a delight! Such a fun interview, I found myself laughing (a lot)! So happy Sally had a good time filming with us.
it's always good to read your comments, John. I trust you are doing well.
Thank you for your excellent work! All of you together gave us such a gift!
🩷
John, I'm always delighted to see your comments here or better yet, see you chatting with Judy and telling stories.
That is one of my fave epis of the show. It was so good!!
The Children’s Carol is one of my favorite episodes
Mine too!
@@judynorton2598Mine 3!
Lovely to listen to! I'd forgotten about Sally's crying scene and subsequent cry, and I do remember how sometimes when you access those feelings for a scent, it takes a while to get past them.

I love that you & Sally keep in touch.
Hi kami I love your work on the Walton's you were great. Hope you are doing well
I still watch all the reruns😊
Thank you!
So nice to hear from Sally and her confirmation that the Waltons cast was like a family in real life. Her progression as an actress was so interesting, great interview.
Thanks for joining us.
Another great guest! Sally nailed the role of Tess. It's great seeing how many guests on the show have such fond memories of their time on the Waltons!
Great interview Sally is so humble.
Always so lovely to hear.
I remember this episode of the Walton's Jeff Cotler Kami's brother
played Sally's brother Pip in this episode.🇺🇲📺📺🇺🇲
You are correct.
@@judynorton2598
I think that Jeff also appeared in several other episodes
in different roles and I was watching a video of old short
lived tv shows and their was one series called Me and the
Chimp which Kami was on with Ted Bessell of That Girl
and Ginger Pyle USMC fame as her father and it only lasted
a season then was cancelled and then came the Walton's
sorry to ramble but thank you for the memories of 70's TV
and Thank You Judy.🇺🇲📺💞📺🇺🇲
Sally you were so memorable on The Walton’s. Wonderful actress and I am so happy you stay in touch with Kami. Judy you always bring the best people on to surprise us. Thanks to you and Sally for everything. 👏🏻💕
Thanks for joining us. It was such a treat to catch up with Sally.
it was nice of Gary Burghoff to refer Sally to Lorimar. I like his role on M*A*S*H a lot.
Absolutely.
Dear Sally and Judy, This is a real treat to see you, Sally and Judy. "The Children's Carol" is one of my favorite episodes of "The Waltons". Everything about it is special, from the pre-credits narration on to the end. I really enjoy the way you played Tess, so authentic. Grandpa, as usual, lends a comedic touch, and the subplots really aid the story. Jason wrestling with his drilling in the National Guard vs. his love for music, Ike and Ben working on civil defense, the Baldwin sisters trying their best to help Tess and Pip, Erin still reeling from the loss of G.W., Jim-Bob setting up his shortwave radio in the barn, Mary Ellen longing to be with Curt, who has been called up; all of this underscored the main plot so well. It's nice to see you two, Sally and Judy.
So glad you enjoyed this Christmas episode.
Judy looking absolutely Beautiful this morning as always!!!
Indeed. 😊
She does look really pretty here
Thanks so much
That's quite amazing that Miss Boyden had met Miss Colter when performing in a single 'Walton's' episode with Miss Colter's kid brother- and despite the very different paths and geographical homes each has had, they've stayed friends all these decades!
Thanks for bringing this!
Wonderful when that happens. I have lifelong friendships with people I worked with briefly and we just clicked.
This is such a treat!! I always enjoyed this episode. During WW 2 my dad was stationed in England and he always spoke so highly of the English people. Thank you for highlighting this beautiful, touching episode.
Our pleasure. My mom also grew up in England during the war.
A very re watchable episode. I loved it so much. Good Christmas season watching too!
I've never tried to pick a favorite episode, but this one is close to the top.
🥰
Sally is great at telling her experiences of the past! Great recollection! Judy--if I was being made fun of like you were in school, I would've shown them the new car I just bought! lol
Success is indeed the best answer to those who want to put us down. :)
Thanks Judy,
So great hearing from Sally. That was a very touching episode. I believe Pipp first spoke in that episode when John handed him to Olivia after he rescued he off the tarmac at the army base, when he told Olivia he was proper scare. I enjoyed how Grandpa Walton related with the children and how Tess respected him. I wasn't to crazy about the song Jason wrote. As always take care, stay safe and God Bless.
Thank you for watching and for sharing.
Wow Judy, you’ve done it again. Another excellent guest. Thank you both for sharing your memories. 👍🏻👍🏻
Our pleasure.
Sally was a delightful guest!! Yet another guest star who felt the warmth from the amazing cast and crew of The Waltons ❤ Its so lovely that Sally and Kami remain great friends!!! Awesome interview Judy❤
So great to reconnect with her again.
Lovely, heartwarming, inspiring. Thank you both (& all, Judy’s son who edits, Kami…). Cheers
Thank you.
Hi Judy and Sally! Thank you both for such great stories. It's so wonderful to see you Sally your looking lovely ! This was one of the episodes I just cried. Judy, you have done it again. It's always amazing!! Thank you so MUCH!! 🥰
Our pleasure!
How wonderful to hear her story! Thank you.
So great to have her as a guest.
I Liked Those Episodes With Her In It!
Such a sweet episode.
Wow! Sally's like the golden child. Everything falls in her lap & the results are golden. Talk about being an accidental actress. How wonderful for her. Love it!
She had the talent to back it up when the opportunities came her way. And such a genuinely nice person which is always a bonus when good things happen for good people :)
Still my favorite episode of the Waltons. Got me interested in ham radio, which I still do to this day. (I've told that story on here before.)
Longtime ham here, as well...
I love that. How wonderful.
I'm in my 60s and never saw the Waltons when they first came on. Watched some reruns here and there, but never all of it. I've been binge watching every night for a little over a month. Love it. Last night I started watching the episode. ❤❤
So glad you are now enjoying the series.
One of my favorite episodes!
Mine too.
I feel like watching it now
Wonderful episode! She was so good with Kami’s brother! It’s great to hear that you still keep up with her. Judy, what’s happened to Kami’s little brother?
So glad you enjoyed this. Kami’s brother, Jeff, did not continue in show biz. I’ll have to double check with Kami what line of work he went into and where he is located these days.
The Waltons was such a good family show I wish they had done more Christmas episodes. I think there are only two.
I agree. I think we had 3. The Best Christmas, The Children’s Carol and The Spirit.
A great episode. Great little actress with a standout performance.
Absolutely!
Awesome in that episode. Great acting talent!
I was so hoping there would be a Part 2 to this interview. What an amazing guest. I just fell in love with her personality. Little wonder why Kami kept in touch with Sally all these years. Very, very, interesting guest. She's so down to Earth, and tells it like it is. Just wonderful and insightful is Sally. I hate you were picked on in school; I know how that feels, and it's hard at that age. I’m going to have to re watch this one, so much to absorb here. She's so interesting, so blessed to be on your page............
Sally really is just a warm, lovely person. So easy to talk with - open and generous of spirit.

Thank you so much Judy for inviting Sally and Sally for sharing your wonderful stories! The Christmas Carol was a different kind of heartwarming story and both you and 'Pip' made the holiday Walton's episode very special and touching! I honestly believed you were brother and sister in real life! You were a lovely little girl and are a charming and talented woman! I shall have to find and watch the Lassie film. I love how the dog jumped in your lap and made friends! Those collies were beautiful; you're right! I'll look up your songs as well. You're a person of many talents! I'm so glad to hear you and Kami are friends ever since ! Bless you and Walton's everywhere! ❤
Thanks for joining us for this chat.
Wow Judy, thank you for getting Sally to share her experiences with us. I still remember her accent from the 2 part episode, my accent is the same here in England. I see yet another guest who had only good things to say about the cast and crew of the show like all the others before her. Thank you once more for another top segment and best wishes as always from your waltonian superfan in a pleasantly mild springy England😉
You are so welcome! So glad to have Sally as a guest.
Good morning Judy, I remember that episode thanks for the memories of Waltons! ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello miss Judy ❤
Hello!
I was 14 when this episode was shown, had such a crush on Sally afterwards! Thanks for posting, Judy, I really enjoy these videos.
So happy to hear that.
It was a great episode. She is very attractive too.
Glad you enjoyed the episode.
The Christmas Story makes me think of a story my friend Eddie told me. He was a small child when he was living in England and remembers the bombing and the bomb shelters.
My mom shared stories with me about growing up in England. Not London, but still an area with bombing.
Another awesome 👌 video great guest 👍 I loved that episode always great insights ❤
So glad. Thank you.
Sally Boyden The Waltons Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖💖💖

The Children's Carol episode was so moving, absolutely sad at times during WWII in reality. Thank you, Sally, for your dedication in episode and strong performance in waltons. Thank you both beautiful ladies ❤❤😂 😃
Our pleasure. Thanks for joining us.
We loved this episode. I enjoyed the Jim-Bob radio story line. Emotional episode and the kids did such a great job. I did not know the little boy was Kami's brother.
One of my favorites. Such a sweet story.
Thank you Judy, and Sally, for this wonderful interview. Love how so many have such fond memories of The Waltons. The whole cast was fantastic, they were so natural--none appeared to be acting at all. I enjoy all of these segments so much!
So happy to hear that. Thank you.
This is a wonderful interview. I love the Christmas Carol episode and remember thinking about how good Sally was. Thank you for bringing this to us.

.
This was my favourite episode! Such a great interview, thank you so much!
Yay! Thank you.
That makes me sad, Judy to hear both of you say that people treated you like that but I understand I also was treated badly . It would’ve been a privilege to know each of you 💗
Young people can be immature :-)
Hi Judy it was so nice to hear from Sally it was so interesting
So happy to hear that.
Great Interview Judy👍 Sally is so sweet and funny❤️😀
Such a joy to have her join me.
Always LOVE this episode, Thank you Judy for doing this. Wish other Cast members would do this for my Favorite Show.
Perhaps they will see my channel and be inspired :)
A terrific interview as always Judy. Loved seeing Sally and hearing her progress of acting. Looking forward to part 2. :) Have a great week.
Thank you. Pt 2 coming next.
A favorite episode because of Sally and Kami's brothers acting. They were so good and Sally's facial expressions spoke just as loud as her words.
So true.
It's fantastic enough that you have all of these guest stars and production people on but the fact that they all have great memories of their time on there, the laughter and smiles are so special❤.....that speaks volumes. What a gift to the fans, thank you so much Judy.
It really has been heartwarming to hear all their kind comments about being a guest on our show. That they had a positive experience.
Great hearing all about Sally. Thanks, Judy, for always having such interesting content on your channel.
So glad you are enjoying these interviews.
What a great interview, thank you Sally and Judy, it was great to know what she is doing now.
Our pleasure. Thanks for joining us.
Me and my family have been binge watching The Waltons lately. I told my Dad The Walton family is a lot like my own, from the grandparents to the grandchildren. Hard working, loving and respectful. Don’t see many families like that today. Keep up the good work!
Sounds like you have a wonderful family.
Judy, is there anyone you can’t get for these interviews? Every time I think of someone I’d like to see (Michael O’Keefe, Ralph Senensky, etc) you manage to get them. And now Sally Boyden. Amazing!
You’re very kind to say that. Glad you are enjoying the guests I’ve been able to connect with.
Sally, thank you so much for your time . I really enjoyed you as Tess on the Waltons. 😊😊😊
Thanks for joining us!
Wow amazing, can't believe that's her!
Thanks for joining us!
@@judynorton2598 Glad I had time to watch.
Too funny, that when she sees Kami, she sees "Pip", her brother. Great episode! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰
If it wasn't for you and you're RUclips channel I would have never known about most of your special guest stars. Im meeting them for the first time here. Its interesting to see what happened during and after their involvement with the Walton's. They all seem to agree it was a welcoming family experience to be a part of. Its always a new surprise with you and your special guest stars. Enjoyed as usual. : )
So glad you are enjoying all these chats with guest stars.
@@judynorton2598 absolutely am enjoying the content of your segments. ❤️👍
How delightful is she!?!?
Loved this, looking forward to the next segment!
She really is delightful! Glad you felt that too.
Thankyou Judy and Sally for a great interview.Sally You're an amazing actress.I think it's cool that you're still friends with Kami.I loved you in the Christmas carol.
Thanks for joining us :)
What a nice surprise having Sally as your guest. She tells amazing stories and seems like a nice person. It's no surprise that the crew was as warm and welcoming as the cast on the Waltons set. I don't think Earl Hamner would have it any other way. I had no idea that Sally was such a big star in Australia. Looking forward to part 2. As always, thank you for sharing!
Earl did set a nice tone for the show with the stories he created.
Judy and Sally this was great. I loved hearing your stories and memories. I can't wait for part 2.
So glad. Pt 2 coming next.
Loved this interview, and saw that episode recently and it was so moving. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Our pleasure.
I loved this episode
Yay 🥰
What a wonderful surprise guest! The Children's Carol double episodes were lovely and so heartwarming. Walton classics. Thank you, Judy and Sally ❤. Sally and Cami's brother were ADORABLE and so authentic in these episodes. Wonderful acting.
So glad you enjoyed the episode. They were both terrific.
What a treat Judy to have this interview on your channel!! The Children's Carol is such a good episode although that scene where the English children were frightened by the mail plane. That terrorized me for years!! 🥹
Oh no, sorry that plane scene scared you - but glad you are past that and still enjoy the episode.
Thank you both and the whole cast - always has been and still is one of my favorite Christmas shows to watch every year - awesomeness
Awesome! Thank you!
The Walton’s have all
Another brilliant interview, what a treat! More from Sally please ❤ x
Part 2 coming Thursday!
It's lovely that Sally considers Kami one of her longest childhood friends😊
I love that, too.
I just watched this. Amazing story
So glad you enjoyed it.
We are watching the DVD boxset right now, one episode a day. Exacty on the same day this video was shared with us, we saw this 2 part episode with Sally. Thank you Judy, thank you Sally! And once again thanks all of you, actors and production. You all feel like family, in a world that could do with more love and less fighting. Peace for all ❤
Thank you so much.
This was fun. I was sitting here after seeing that little boy at 14:34 with her on Lassie. Thinking I just saw him in something. Then it finally hit me. I had seen him as an abused child on "Family". I've been watching "Family" for the first time here lately. I love shows from the 70s. Looking forward to part 2 with Sally.
Glad you had fun with us.
Sa!ly Your scene makes me cry every time I still watch it you are a beautiful actress, love this Judy
She did such a beautiful job in the episode.
thanks for the interview.
Our pleasure.
Thank you Sally andJudy! This was such a great episode! All 3 Christmas episodes were good, but this one was exceptional!
So glad you enjoyed it.
Oh what a great Christmas story and she did a great job
Absolutely!
Sally is so great to listen to, what a great person.
So much fun having her join me for these segments.
Since Tess and Elizabeth's characters werent the closest, it's so nice to hear that Sally and Kami still keep in touch! ❤️
Such a great friendship over many years.
What a lovely woman Sally is, and what a great interview, Judy! Thank you!
Thanks for joining us.
As said, all the Christmas episodes were so well done. Something or several things would hit home. The one from the year earlier with Earl Hamner saying at the end, "It was the last Christmas we would all be together" stands out for me.
Yes - some of those end narrations were heartbreaking.
Wow, Judy, Ms. Norton, this is just so fascinating. What interesting careers some of these actors you've had on The Waltons have had. So glad there will be another part to this. I was sooo pulled into it. Keep 'em coming! Please!
So glad you enjoyed it.
I always cried when i saw this episode. One of my favorites.
Happy you liked it.
Thank you Judy and Sally 😊
Thanks for joining us.
This was one of the most energetic sessions I have ever heard. She seems like a delight. Thanks, Judy.

Our pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Sally & Judy. ❤
Our pleasure.
Judy never ages
Thank you so much.
These guest stars are so fun to hear from as they tell their memories of being on the show. My favorite part is that she got to meet Gary Burghoff as I am a huge M*A*S*H fan. I have seen Alan Alda and Loretta Swit in person. I still have a goal of going to a Walton event.
So glad you enjoyed our chat. More to come. I got to work with Larry Linville in a play. He was a lot of fun to work with and nice guy.
Hi Judy and Sally. Thank you for sharing this great episode with us. I love this episode, it's such a touching and loving story.
