My Instagram has currently been targeted by mass-reporting gangs for impersonation and it has been suspended :( I am in talks with Meta to restore the account but as a small (3k) fashion creator I will definitely be signing up for the Meta verification simply for protection over things like this.
I don’t mind having to pay for a blue tick as a content creator on instagram by doing gameplay footage from retro games and my Nintendo Switch games. I place ads too which has helped immensely with reach. I’ll do whatever it takes for my content to get more reach.
As Someone who had the badge for 6+ months . I’m a small channel too the only thing I got the badge was a lot backlash 😂. And the only thing I wanted it for the support. I needed help from meta. (I didn’t get it..)

This was a great video, Doctor. I like how you applied the scientific method with an adequate control and took time to explain the numbers. It was also the right length - dense but not overwhelming. Have you looked into verification on other social media platforms? Do you know what happens if someone changes their mind and stops paying for verification? I'd be concerned about being punished for exiting the program and being worse off than before.
