Ironically Larry Hagman played a crooked cop who actually bullied C.H.I.P.S Jon Baker.
Aside from acting you can clearly tell that Larry Hagman was having fun doing these scenes on Knots Landing.
Larry Hagman had worked with Julie Harris before as well. And done a series with Donna Mills.
I miss this man and the 2 shows (Dallas and Knots Landing). ((Larry)), nobody could have played JR better than you.
Always loved scenes between the Val and JR characters, pure TV gold!!
Jr was such an asshole! I hated how treated Vallene and Pam. But here it’s almost comical how he torments Val with his insidious questions.
I get a kick out of J R Ewing. On the surface, he seems considerate and charming, all the while, Valene is shaking in fear and resentment.

Val Looks Good in her Overall.
How did JR recognize Lillimae by sight?
It probably dates back to Gary/Val's earliest days, and the time when Lucy was taken away from them to Southfork.
Well Richard Avery had told J.R. that Val was now living her mother Lilimae. They had probably met back in the day when Gary and Val first married

He already knew what was going on. He was antagonizing Val because he could.
He asked what time Gary was getting home from work. He knew already they had split up.
