When they did the 1997 reunion movie '"Back To The Cul-de-Sac", I noticed the set designer made the foyer bigger in Gary & Val's house and moved the stairs back a few feet. In the series they always looked way too close to the door. They also made the living room and kitchen all level instead of a step down. They should have made those corrections during the series run to make the Ewing home more spacious like in the reunion.

The dryness of the California coast has many communities drawing its municipal water from wells instead of reservoir lakes.

I think that belongs to Trump who took his Daddys money and filed for bankruptcy 6 times. Gary never beat JR but Biden beat Trump and kicked his butt. You LOSE

@@sfgnyy Ye but Gary was a weak pansy who cried non stop. Why he got no further in life than selling used pintos. While J R. and Bobby ruled the world with the oil business.

I suspect it had something to do with the lighting on the set. The positioning of the lights and the use of various color gels, with the lighting, can make facial features look flattering or horrendous.
Facial shadows are especially effective to make a person look sinister.

It was a spinoff of Dallas, premiered in 1979. JR came to visit Gary and Val in KL. His real reason to come to town is that Gary had gone to a community organizing meeting the day before because Karen urged him to save Knots Landing beach from oil drilling. Gary acted like he knew what he was talking about and got the crowd rallied up, and then JR's flunkie reported back to JR that there was this guy stirring up trouble at the meeting. also with the last name Ewing. lol....JR really came to town not to visit, but to really warn and threaten Gary and Val to not make trouble for his California oil deal. They probably did it to boost ratings, because I think this is the 2nd or 3rd episode of KL, season 1. Bobby Ewing made a brief appearance in the pilot episode.
