I never did mosey on over to watch. I'm surprised I was allowed to watch Dallas in the first place. I am enjoying these recaps though. The oil bat signal is priceless 👍.
Actually, at this time JR’s favorite sister-in-law would have been Kristin. That would change after she shot him. Later Abby would be his favorite. He grudgingly respected Donna and even asked her to lead a lobbying campaign in Washington on behalf of independent oil companies.
Great observation. Donna was the one sister-in-law J.R. didn't mess with. He did try to blackmail her to get her to convince her then-husband Sam Culver to side with Ewing Oil against Cliff Barnes' OLM, but other than that, J.R. pretty much stayed out of Donna's way.
Is this the episode where JR asks Val for a bourbon knowing Gary is an alcoholic? Or is that the next one? That scene always cracks me up, JR has a grin on his face as he describes himself as a weary traveller 😅
The first season of KL was a huge dud! The second season however was much better, it's when the show came alive! A lot of people link these two seasons together becuase of the opening theme and they were the 2 seasons that featured Don Murray as the leading protagonist. But really they were very different. The second season is when things fell into place, plus there was that time context feeling from the characters; it was the beginning of a new era and the characters knew they were about to embark on something bigger and better (maybe), but what exactly, that was the question. The first season was just like a never-ending pilot episode where they were unsure of which character would serve what purpose. It was aso very much felt that the show didn't have a main antagonist, as they were dickering back and forth with making Karen the villain. Fortunately they abandoned that idea and brought in Abby!

Yes
Val & Gary's kitchen is "somehow" nearly identical to Southfork's.
And Diana's teacher is living in Cliff Barnes's apartment.
Knots Landing is finally streaming on Plex. Enjoy the memories and welcome back home to Seaview Circle! Team Abby! 🙂

I love the first season...there were dud episodes but there were also gems in there too.
Maybe because they added Donna Mills to the cast to shake things up.
@@TF80s Yeah. I enjoyed the one where Michael has ADHD, since he and I were the same age.
If you think this Chips is bad. Just wait a few more seasons.
I'm already on season 8. He speaks the truth.
@@nicklundy9965 where are you watching?
@@TF80s I had purchased the complete series bootleg online
