    Devagar,
Que é pra não perder o passo,
    Pra não errar o compasso,
Pra não me perder nas horas,
    Que é pra aproveitar,
    pra viver bem, bem devagar
o que cada segundo tem pra me oferecer.”

Two geniuses came together to compose and another to interpret this homage as beautiful as the honored work.
God was so inspired when he planned and birthed Nat King Kole with a voice that someone once summed up as "a voice of liquid velvet," perfect!

I percieve that you like Nat King Cole's amazing voice, so I'd like to say some interesting facts about his career.
Many people think that Cole started his career as a vocalist, unaware of his great vocation as a musician. He started out as a great jazz pianist in 1934. According to legend, Cole was playing piano in a nightclub when a drunken regular customer asked Cole to sing a song. Cole then retorted by saying that he didn't sing, he just played piano. The customer then complained to the owner who due to the circumstances told Cole he should comply with the request. Then Cole sang "Sweet Lorraine" which became his first hit, recorded in 1940. As people listened to Nat King Cole's vocal talent, they requested other songs which eventually forced him to sing more. In 1937 Cole arrived in Los Angeles where he formed The Nat King Cole Trio which became the top-selling group on Capitol Records in the 1940s. His trio was composed only of black musicians, with Nat on piano, Oscar Moore on guitar and Wesley Prince on double bass. The trio had no drummer having been a unique model among the jazz ensembles of that time, followed by other ensembles that appeared afterwards.
Nat King Cole is one of the greatest interpreters of the Great American Songbook. In his 30-year vocalist career he recorded well over 150 songs (many of them becoming pop hits), performed in television, Broadway shows and movies, and was the first African American hosts a TV series in the United States.

Thank you for telling me things I didn't imagine. And yes, since I was a boy I admired his way of singing. Very sad to see that his work is not publicized. Grateful
