This is still my favourite. It was entry point to sim racing for me. I was racing online for probably 5 years. I ended hosting 6 servers with a guy from Netherlands. And a crown was a role as admin on infamous 100mbit servers, which were running for several years.
Fun times, good racing. I really miss it.

I tried downloading this game a while ago and putting mods on it; but it never worked; So I downloaded GTR 2 and I'm loving it, I added a lot of mods and I'm having a lot of fun; I love the aesthetics of these old racing simulators/games
One of the best sims ever made & currently my fav. After playing Assetto Corsa for months i picked this up with all the DLC & im hooked. I`ve downloaded lots of tracks , many which are even better than the games. i also got the GT Legends Mod which is awesome .The Audio in this game is also great. Ai is good, aggressive , quick off the start & provide a great challenge. Didn`t get on with Race Remaster, it appeared most of the base game & dlc was missing from its menu & mods, also i noticed missing textures and other graphical bugs. I think you need to download all the updated tracks as well for race remaster to fix it, but its a lot of aggro.
Mate this was an awesome game. Just so well put together, the physics were great and I was a big fan of the wtcc, it was as close as I can remember to the super touring era. What an awesome throwback, great video
It's only 3 euros on Steam. I got it for free like a decade ago on a long forgotten Steam account, used to love racing in Minis in this game. I'm gonna get it for sure now you reminded me off it.
I've been running Race07 exclusively since late 2009 and before that (outside of some online iRacing) I ran GT Legends. The (classic) mini in that sim was fantastic and to be fair, the cockpits in Race07 are (in my opinion) not to the standards of the excellent GT Legends cockpits from several years before.
I am still running Race07 as my exclusive sim as I have since 2009. I even just built a new Windows 11 machine that runs it. I have seen plenty of sims come and go but Race07 for me at least still gives the best offline experience available. And the force feedback - as difficult as it is to tune (partly black magic but mostly patience with trial and error) is the best of the bunch as well. I really feel like I am driving with this sim. I have found the AI vary significantly according to the type of car and series they run in. I almost exclusively run the 1987 WTCC option in the game and the AI in that - at 100% - is about as good as a fairly solid mid 2000 range clean iRacer. Meaning very tough in absolute terms. Granted I have seen them misbehave in other series and cars but in the 1987 WTCC cars the worst offences they commit are changing line in the braking zone (sometimes) and the Volvo drivers losing it (more often than in real life back in the day!).
