Here in Alexandria Louisiana there are two new country stations 100.3 KRRV FM and La 103.5 Fm la 103.5 has Louisiana Saturday night from 7 -12am on Saturday nights and this song is played. But this song is the most requested song on Solid Gold Sunday's with Alexndrias longest running legendary DJ Danny White on 100.3 Krrv. Needless to say it's a big hit in Louisiana
I saw this local band in Colorado.Danced to this song many times. Owned this album but lost it. To this day it is still one of my favorite songs! Thank you for posting it!
I love to see all these comments about Louisiana. I lived there for 12 years. Im now 16 and i moved to delaware for 3 years then moved to florida and im on my 2nd year here. And i visit Louisiana once every couple months. So all my rapides parish people like it up!!
I used to love this song when it came out on the radio when I was young... Have a dear friend moving to Louisiana... so I had to look up this song to share with him... Never have been to Louisiana... sounds like an interesting place... I still love this song 😊
Back in the eighties I called one of the local radio stations in Denver Co. to ask where I could get a copy. They said to send them a blank cassette tape and they would make one for me, (which I did). The radio station then went on to say that the Cahoots were a local band based in Denver and they had a limited run of this song on their album, and that its no longer available.
I used to live next door to the lead singer when I was young and he gave my mom this album on record. I wish I could find this on CD or a streaming service, there are so many other good songs on that album.
Many nights at the "Seasons" with my lady Candy .When we danced we flowed across the floor. Lost her but will never lose the feeling of her in my arms. She took my heart.Hope she's had a good life.
@@billengle4377 I’ll take your word for it! Really great song y’all've produced. I stumbled upon it while making a fun little thriller short home film and it was a great fit! if you wanna check it out here: ruclips.net/video/GZmOVf1V_qk/видео.html God bless
This seems to be based on Kolchak: The Night Stalker episode The Spanish Moss Murders. There was a person called 'Paul Langois'. The bayou bogeyman (Peremalfait) had to be killed with a sharpened stick.
Who else is still listening to this classic 10 years later
Grew up playing pool at the 4 seasons, mom was a waitress!! In Cahoots will always have a place in my heart!
Been looking for this song for over 20 years
All time legend
Same here. Song used to scare me as a little kid. Idk why.

I can only imagine what this would sound like with Waylon Jennings singing it.

The lead singer was my cousin Lloyd; he passed away last week. He was my idol when I was little because of this song and several others.

A classic take on the David Horowitz classic. Well done "The Cahoots"!
Where can I find the David Horowitz song?
The song was written and sung by Lloyd Barnett of Cahoots. I know cause I am the guitar player on this song. My name is Willy Angel.
