- I hadn't even planned on being here.......
I was in Texas talking to Swillco about photographing his Roadster He was picking up in Havasu then heading back to Minnesota.
When I was asking what his plans where he said he was just going to leisurely make his way East(well as leisurely as a Hot Rod Builder can haha) when He mentioned He was going to the Pete & jakes Open House in Peculiar Missouri.
I have passed Their shop a million times headed south, but had never taken the time to stop, and seeing it was their 50th Anniversary Celebration I figured it was a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
Im really glad I made the trip because it was awesome, and more like a family reunion than going to a car show with just great hotrod family hanging out.
I basically just stood at the front and filmed car after car filing into the very small hotrod shop parking lot so I had a pretty easy day haha
Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did making it
Thanks for Watching
This is such ASMR for auto enthusiasts. The growling and purring is fabulous!
😂 I know right I wish the videos could just all be engine noises
Nice gathering of vehicles. There are some really high caliber cars and trucks. Thank you for sharing!
No thanks for watching really glad I made the trip
Very nice. I don't get to see multiple deuces anymore. That was very enjoyable. :)
The more deuces the merrier 😂

Thanks for sharing, these are some super nice folks! I have a good friend who lives a mile from this shop. Stopped once and Cadzilla was there getting a face lift. Stopped in in Dec. of this year and a dude running from the law drove into the wall of their fab shop!
Definitely some of the best people on the planet……….. I mean it is in Peculiar 😂
Thanks for watching my man 🙏
Great video. Thanks for bringing us along.
And the Swilco Roadster...🥰 Growing up drooling over the McMullen roadster this one knocked me off my feet. I can't get enough of it.😊
I feel the same way about that car I wish I could share the photos we took that night but they have to stay hidden till it runs in Rodders Journal.
Thanks for the kind words and for watching

AWSOME show John , hope you didn't put your beard to close to Studebaker shooting flames 🔥

50th anniversary. Should have been more beards and trucker caps :-) Shame Pete couldn't have dropped in. RIP.
There were quite a few beards and trucker caps present ………. And they said my beard counts for two beards 😂

Rule #1 in Photography: Consider the Direction of the Light Source.....
Next time....stand on the other side of the entrance with your own back to the sun.
That way we can see the Full Colors of the incoming cars.
Cool thanks I’ll
Make sure my shadow is on them next time
